2015 Ford Escape SE Tailgate Ajar Warning light.

- My wife's SUV Tailgate ajar light kept coming on including interior lights even when the SUV was parked and the key was out of the vehicle. Drove us both crazy. It was really hard to drive at night with the interior lights on and no way to turn them off. Did the new part fix the problem?

Thank you for showing because I don't have an auto gate opener or unlock from the inside not easy but you showed me a lot . Ford wants to scan it for $200 on the machine and $600 part & labor Hell no. Now I'm pretty sure I can do it by my self once I get the gate to reopen

I just did one on my Daugther más Ford Escape n I had to replace the complete latch from dealer cause it would not open but it wasn’t easy task to get it open but me n my younger brother got it to open with a screw driver once I removed. The inside latch mechanisms to put it back on 3 screws n the electric cable 2015 scape

I have a 2015 Ford Escape that not overhead lights stay on for more than 28 minutes to 30min it is a pain to drive at night with a lights on how many do the same thing and put tape till I take it back to the dealership just bought it did my first payment and this happens

Hello, I got the Dorman 940-130 Liftgate lock Actuator from Amazon $59.22. I took a gamble on this and it worked. It was driving my wife crazy for several months. It was an easy fix. Good luck hope this will fix the problem.

@@stayoutsideandexplore6280 I replaced this and it didn’t fix the issue. Every time I hit a bump in the road the trunk ajar warning comes up and doors unlock. Any ideas?
@@benhogan7036 The Ford Escape we have does not have a power gate. Not sure what you have. I know a lot of the Ford vehicles wherevhaving problems with power lift gates and trunk lifts. It took me about 3 months to figure it out. And I said I’m going to spend $60 and see. Thankfully it work. Make sure everything is tight and in place. Hopefully you can get it fixed
Did that fix your lights problem too? Mines not locking, lights come on, dome lights come on and I'm having same problem
Yes it fixed the problem. When I did the research on this a lot of people were having problems with the automatic tailgate system and even popping the trunk lid on the cars. My wife does not have the automatic lift gate on her escape but it fixed the problem. Good luck

The reason your rear lift gate warning light comes on is because your wife has too much shit packed in the cargo area. We see it in this video. Is your garage looking the same way? By the way your explorer looks inside, can you actually park a vehicle in your garage? Or do you just open the door and toss crap on top of crap? 😅
