- A simple video showing how I make Forest Bathing cold process soap
No naughty accelerating fragrance, no horrendous mishap, but a soap which had a surprise up its proverbial none the less!
This video is not intended as a tutorial, (obviously, really). This is simply me sharing this soaps journey with you. If you have any questions I'm ready to help, just fling me a comment! 💗
Remember...
👍Not every soap will be your finest creation. The soap gremlins are always watching! If it's a simple cosmetic issue, rebatch or accept the flaws! Never bin your soap without a FIGHT! Take notes! If you know where you went wrong, you can either re-work that soap into something better, or suck it up, (not literally obviously, but, yeah that sounded weird...) Learn better luck with the next one!👌

Thanks, also, for showing the stearic spots! They plague me in the winter, as my soaping room is chilly! I got so vexed at them, I put my last batch on a heated resin curing mat with a tent overnight, and forgot to turn it off.😅 But, it was the only winter batch that didn't spot! Lucky accident!

Ah yes those pesky stearic & palmitic spots, I really should have known better to be honest! It's a tricky balance isn't it? too warm & acceleration can happen, too cool & False Tracy comes to tea or the pesky spots turn up! It's funny because I always insulate & use bottom heat, but this still went weird, but only on the ends. Glad your happy accident happened! Excellent!
