That's lovely. I didn't grow up with a strong masculine presence in my home so I never really learned how a solid masculine male shows love for a woman. I grew up around "strong independent women." I think more women need to learn these lessons. I am learning now as an adult.
My father did his best his father was not a good example of how you treatment a Women so iit became a generational curse that was handed down to me and my sisters,, in which we are trying to heal from these things. It's hard though.

I was with my ex husband for almost 19 years with 3 kids and never felt loved. He never took me out or the kids out as he was always making excuses. I damaged myself by staying in that relationship for so long and was always covering up for him. All these signs mentioned were everything I experienced in my 19 years of being married to that man. Thank goodness I summoned the courage to walk out of that abusive relationship and I am happy as it was the best decision of my life. I think we as women should start loving ourselves.

@@cynthiaziegler6558not necessarily. Some of us have jobs in noisy environments and we are there for 12 hours out of our day. Talking on the phone is not even feasible or allowed there except for during break. I also work midnights so my break times are when most people are asleep anyway. Texting is the only way to communicate on those particular days.
I have also had guys laugh and make fun of my southern accent. Some of them have even had the audacity to put the call on speaker phone so that their buddies can also get a good laugh out of “this dumb hilljack”. I absolutely hate talking on the phone for that reason alone. I have to text someone for a while just to make sure they do have a genuine interest in me and that I can trust them to not do that mess beforehand.
Hi there, i agree with you , a man who loves you will call you throughout the day to make sure you are ok and to hear your voice because he misses you , i learnt the hard way, had a good guy who when i called him at work( he was a doctor) would drop everything, literally, to talk to me , there was never any doubt , he did never not answer, i left him looking for adventure and guess what i found ? The worst narcissistic abuser who mistreated and abused me and lied and cheated , and i thought he was good - looking lol, i lost everything, my pride , my money, my dignity and here i am thinking what was I thinking? He reinforced what I understand about a man truly loving a woman, he will give everything including his money, not this 50/50 lie that is being pushed around in the dating world. He does not maintain our home and spends all his time and money on his rental properties. Everyone and everything is more important than me. I'd rather be single and love myself than be in an unhappy, unfulfilled marriage. Life is too precious to spend it with someone who does not value me. My happiness and peace are too important!

These covert narcissists are very insidious. They are good at wearing a mask to reel you in. When they've got their hooks in you, the masks start to slip and in many cases, you are already in too deep. They only way to deal with them (other than grey rocking them) is to run and don't look back.

I was one time engaged to a man, I was emotionally really thirsty and had no reassurance from him, I spoke it out and his response was “that’s what you have are desires and I am not responsible for your desires, that’s your desire not mine”… he did not value my needs. It was like drinking an empty cup. I broke up with him. It was the worst feeling for me to have: being in a relationship and still feeling alone by myself. Love doesn’t hurt.

You've confirmed what I really know. I've told my boyfriend twice already about something that upsets me (contact with his ex). Yesterday he confirmed yet again that he's contacted her again. Man this is deep and heartbreaking for me to hear. 5 years married and everything I have been saying about this sour marraige is true. Guess i just needed the truth laid out to me from a truthful person. I have been struggling financially for 2 years paying rent, bills, car repairs, etc without any assistance from the person I thought would have me when I was failing.

When I was about 10 years old, I asked my mother how I would know if a man loved me? I primarily asked her this because I realized at that young of an age that my father didn't love her. She hated me for recognizing this before she did. Actually, she never did realize it. Sad.

I wish my younger self had heard this message. I am so thankful for not ending up married to any of the bad choices I unwisely gave my heart to in the past. I was finally able to forgive myself regarding prior decisions I made romantically (I beat myself up worse than anyone else could) because I didn’t know better then despite my education and success in my career. I really had no idea of what love looked like and on a deeper level feel I was worthy of it. RC Blake’s is a life saver, he is the father figure I did not have. I had a dad but he was an alcoholic. I loved him and respected him but he turned our lives upside down and made me have a horrible self esteem because he said some things to me that a father should not ever tell a young girl. It got very toxic. I’m 49 and suffer from ptsd and adhd, depression and anxiety and I have read that I could of been because all the abuse. I was sexually abused by my fathers friends too and when I told him I don’t thing he believed me or just did not know what to do

Thank you for this video! We needed to hear this. I once went out with a guy and he said to me, "You know, we are not in a relationship." Yet sometimes in his texts he'd say he loved me and if he hadn't seen me for a while he'd say, "I miss you!" We're no longer communicating, so we're no longer friends. He likes to go out with women all the time, and I bet he's broken several hearts now. It's really sad. I know he broke my heart. He was so sweet and kind and thoughtful in the beginning. I thought this was my dream come true. Now... nothing.
