40k lore nerd here!! Tomb worlds are usually associated with the Necrons. Necrons fought a war to get rid of the C'tan power over them, after killing most of the C'tans the Necrons went to sleep deep beneath the surface of planets, since this happened millions of years ago, some of the planets were recolonized by other species. But sooner or later the Necrons began to awake reveling the necropolis underneath the surface, so when a planet whose Necrons have awakened is denominated as a Tomb world
Not sure we had much lore from cron perspective back than, Dawn Crusade had Pariah talking. Have to double check old codex, but it might be term others use rather than crons.
The Chaos Star is an absolutely INSANE piece of equipment. It gives you 3 Demonic units that are effectively immortal, if they die, they are re-summoned after your next jump. A few of those that can be summoned are also immune to suffocation, making them great to use as boarding units on demonic vessels to keep the damn heart KO'd
Thanks for the video! You did pronounce the fougasse correctly as far as I know. I love how much you read the comments and improve every new video based on them \(^-^)/ Also damn does the new difficulty give awesome new stuff in the shops :0
15:14 I think Chaos Rift might be interesting choice in future though it would have meant you're gambling to find a psyker. Pack one of your 4x4 room with bexerkers/boarders plus 2 more in sled could overwhelm potentially. Nervous the game might get censored for either Wh40k or FTL, but I think it highlights in interest in clones/new games in ftl gameplay. Fun series and can't wait for steam, thanks for interesting/learning game commentary too. 🙂🙂
it is "legally distinc" tho with no trademarked names dropped. Don't think GW has an angle on that one. FTL on the other hand, it is a pretty blatant copy and paste but has the game is very old by now idk what angles they could have.
Love this series! Would getting a med bay help with healing after boarding actions? That seems to be the main thing missing from a boarding build other then building up the actual ship combat ability.
19:40 What you are refering to are imperial "Burial Worlds". "Tomb World" are the planets where the necrons have their stasis chambers. Though both don't need to be exclusive since the necrons went to sleep millenia ago and many planets have since been recolonized by the imperium.
You can 100% blow the ship up after killing the crew. Gives nothing. Also boarding builds are OP, I recently got three various marines, kitted them out and stomped the necropolis barge to oblivion.
Nice start, I was hoping U buy more crew, cyborg was looking spicy. Also check if upgrading lauch bay gives u ability to send second wave maybe?, bombard when upgraded was doing solid dps so maybe ordnance can too. Thx for vid.
Ive noticed the past playthrough you didnt have anyone man missles and its the same this time. Im really enjoying the playthroughs so far. Feels like classic Spearmintz ftl with a dark twist!!
When I unlocked the bandit heavy frigate I thought it would be mediocre but when you play your cards right if can be one of the most powerful ships. Having both barrage weapons fully upgraded and powered is destructive because of how fast they shoot and tear through anything.
@@dodang_9147 Oh don't worry GW (the rights holder for Warhammer 40k) will find a way to do it. They're notorious for blasting anything that looks remotely like 40k with cease and desists.
Subset seems chill, the FTL inspirations are fairly obvious but they don't own the concept of a spaceship sim. GW may indeed try and CnD Void War as it really is flying close to the sun with the 40K inspiration
Tomb Worlds are Necrons, Cemetery Worlds are Imperial.
and sometimes a cemetary world is a tomb world
Had Tomb worlds in Farscape as well

Thats boring nu-lore.
@@zielisawzielony9366 I also prefer Old-Crons, but didn't they also call their planets Tomb Worlds?

Also in the vid he was referring to mortuary worlds
Honestly, being a fan on 40K, it’s a good thing I came across you. This is good fun to sit through.
can't wait for the steam release of this game!

Your videos are the best advertisement for this game
8:45 "Ahhh, yeah, Lessons of Darkness Vol.II" I've read that in 6th grade...."
Lol. Never change, Spearmintz. :D
I thought I made the joke reference first, I see I was late. Good one sir xD
A ftl and Warhammer inspired game I'm sold 🎉
Love this. I've always loved boarding builds and clearly the devs of void war did too.
Yes! Love this series. Love your narration. It's great to have you back.
Thanks for the video!

1:45 Thx! And yes, the Mutant looks authentic as part of this ship's crew.
Thx for the video!

He’ll yea. This is a cool ship. I learned there’s 12 levels of torment difficulties so there’s a lot to this game

The ship you are using in this looks like a Narn Heavy cruiser from Babylon 5 😊
19:40 - Tomb Worlds are where a race of Skeletal Aliens are hibernating, you might be thinking of Cemetery Worlds.
Oh yeah, boarding time

Old sub here, loving it. Keep it coming 👍
The War Knight is the Centurion, I believe. He lights a room on fire upon dying
Can't wait till he meets the mind control boss... they almost ended two of my super powerful runs...
The Berserker portrait keeps reminding me of Nathan from Metalocalypse
Yes, you say Fougasse well. Good boi!
And all I have to say is, "I won".
Based
you could have done two berserkers in the shuttle and commander holding a teleporter tool to get 3 crew for boarding
Spearmintz is learned, read Lessons of Darkness Vol. II in 7th grade. Truly a scholar among us all here. 8:26
perfect pronunciation of fougasse
yay!!! :D
Don't mind the critics, Spearmintz, explore the game at your own pace and play however you want.
That’s how you find hidden jewels like Trajanus😂
War cultist, blood cultist, what is the exact difference? Thanks for the video.
Trajanus is a tragedy of a name lol
I have found both and awesome game and another awesome Tuber to follow. Greetings my new friend!
This game is going to be super rad assuming it doesn't get killed by lawsuits from both GW and the creators of FTL.
Knowing GW it won't be a surprise. Those fraktards even tried to privatize term "space marine" despite the fact it wasn't them who came up with it.
you can't really lawsuit games like this unless your a very stabilized company with a brand like Nintendo or Sony.

I'd think destroying the ship after the boarding battle would yield extra scrap.
It doesn't.
Boarding already gives all the loot. Blowing it up after would just be busywork and thus bad game design.
question, with that chaotic Rift ability, could you just kidnap the enemy crew one group at a time and kill them all off?
Could you try to first kill the crew and then kill the ship. i´d like to see if you can get 2 times loot.
❤
What's the space marine faction?
So: Dealing 10 damage to all enemies in a room, and cursing them to spawn thralls on death. Is this combo not really nice on a boarding-focused build?
When is next monster train video
Hopefully soon!
