- Want to make an RC Mud Truck? Here are 6 things I recommend to get one up and running for some mud slinging fun! There are other ways you can do it, but this is what I've done.
(sorry for the hot mic. It's a new mic and I'm trying to get the settings right.)

I've contemplated building one of these sooo many times because they look so darn cool.... but I don't know if I'd run it in mud!

If you want the tires to be shiny again you just have to spray them down with WD40 and give them a scrubbin with a brush
Yes. This is what I do with a lot of my cars. Didn’t decide on this video until today and didn’t want a wet stinky WD40 smell in my office. 😂

These tires are fantastic. Can't wait to start the next Mega Mud Truck build. Not sure I plan to ever run it in real mud. Maybe just the indoor races they do for them.
Thank's Tony you're a Anderson family junkie just like me lol 😆 I have 2 GD's, Son uva Digger, Bog Hog, King Sling and another smt10 I put my Vaterra 72' Suburban body on I just didn't like that body for a scale crawler wasn't proportioned right I'm done for a while building smt10's until another obsession comes my way lol 😎👍

Nice. I love how easy the SMT10 is too convert. Many of the upgrades I do for my normal SMT10s. Basically just changed the wheels/tires and body.
most of my trucks are slower than my friends but I'm planning on building one that will out run all of them. Thanks for the tips!
Awesome video. I run the spectrum firma 4,000 kv combo on 2s mostly. She gets it but is controllable

I agree that the Castle combos are very fairly priced. I haven't had one of them go bad yet . (knock on wood)

Just in the process but building on an SCX10 II chassis as I want it a little narrower for scale. Custom fitting sways will use that castle set up you suggested, thanks

Greeeeeeat, now I have another build to plan. Picking up a RTR Smt10 on the way home to finally have monster truck in my life (ordered Munitions for it already). Maybe I'll convert my Wraith 1.9 into mud truck.🤔

I'm having hobby inception, started one hobby to take a break from the other (keeping tropical fish). Now that hobby (trail trucks/crawlers) now that one has a sub hobby.

I have a very important question: I have been waiting for 2 sets of tribute wheels to go with my renegades for a month and a half. I was wondering if there was something that would work as opposed to tributes because I’m getting desperate. My smt10 that I spent hours building has been running on a trashy set of tires for too long.

You could run a traxxas stampede and up grade as you go 2wd or 4x4 .. any 1/10 monster truck with a 12mm hex can run this wheel and tire combo.. or look for a used truck on eBay offer up Craig’slist or face book market place .. another tuff truck you might look into is a redcat wendigo

What tape of controller
Any will work you can even use the stock one but if you want a better experience driving go with one of the aftermarket spectrum remotes
WD-40? Sure thats good for those nylon pastic parts? Hmmm. Yeah, I use some good old Armerall, or better yet but its technically the same thing, silicone. Yup that silly silicone that Tamiya has you put on in and around their plastics tends to keep the mud and dirt from sticking. Armerall does have UV protectant tho, basically its sunscreen and silicone mixed just dont tell anyone, or spray it anywhere near a mass airflow sensor.
Try sc1 for dirtbikes. Nothing and i mean Nothing looks or works better.
