Shadic is definitely looks like spargo when he was still on the rise, not to mention beating Miya and Sonix already! Like leo and spargo, shadic finna be the next goat man
Could we have more invitationals like Cafeteria cup where you have a bunch of players from different regions who rarely play against each other/have never played before, including some who do not often make top 8 at large tournaments. Rather than NA's top players go to locals.
Call me a boring guy, but I thought the last several games were the best! Seeing Maister beating light is insane. Dabuz's Rosa & Luma is always a treat to watch and I'm so happy he got third! And, Shadic beating Sonix is mind-blowing to me. I think it is a great invitational! Can't wait to see more!
Shadic beating Sonix in Grands 1 after a slog of a 3-2 set into 3-0ing him in the reset is definitely already in top 20 best sets of Smash Ultimate in my books.
Yo Shadic is dope, and his clutch comeback at the monthly (Starbrawl) against Anathema makes this years future tourneys seem even more exciting. Cant wait to see him against the best of Japan in the supermajors.
I genuinely think this event was fine. Calling it a major is silly, but for the event they hosted was a fun showcase for talent and that's all it needs to be. Just a fun little Saturday night for people to enjoy watching their favourite NA players I'd love to see it do better future years the agreggious problems this had are hard to ignore. If there's any competitive take aways here however, Shadic having two Sonix wins from this event and having a tournament win over him is something to not take away from him, and a fantastic argument for him becoming one of the best Smash players this season. It's never been better to be a Shadic fan then right now
I think this tournament was fun. Some of the players probably didn't take it seriously. Others fought hard. Sonix def looked off, with all the SDs. But congrats to Shadic for proving himself yet again.
Sonix hasn''t been in a tournamet since Geniesis, Bro had to change his controller, and man lost his mindset when the reset happened. Yeah Sonix wasn't at his best but he did well.
Another banger by Ristermice! Shadic's become a force of nature. Just out of curiosity, is it just a preference to use God Shattering Star Thunder over Rain?
the simple answer is that the channel that I'm using for the extended versions of these songs only has Thunder uploaded, and not Rain. I'd use Rain if it were available.
even if this invitational was kind of a mixed bag, i'm still happy shadic was able to take the victory for it, and plus kagaribi 12 is happening within a few weeks and it's already shaping up to be an insane tournament from the number of attendees alone
I felt like Riddles could have done much better. There were so many times he tried to go around Luma and was just getting sandwiched. Hopefully he changes up his game plan next time
@@skoolwifi3835 I see your point but watch the match again carefully. Riddles actively jumped over Luma numerous times instead of getting rid of it. Yeah, competitive smash ultimate is definitely not in a great place right now. People should still be thankful to see small fun events like these, whether production for them is crazy or not. I hate Nintendo for developing such a popular fighting game series with an alive competitive scene for each new release, only to occasionally spit on the scene and leave it at that.
