Both Chiltern and gwr are the testers for the new route "east west rail" that will eventually be set in motion and Milton Keynes Central is one of their terminals
Hey! What was a GWR train doing there? The only thing I can think off is training drivers ready for Evero services? Great seeing Chiltern doing testing on new east to west services!
@@railwayhonza I thought they were going to be pathed over the freight-only link between Acton Mainline and Willesden Junction? Leave the Great Western Mainline just after Acton Mainline, and join the West Coast Mainline to the side of Willesden Junction.
@@johnroberts2331 They are talking about an extra 20 minutes for trains that actually go to Euston. Most will terminate at either Reading or Ealing Broadway. Euston is massively overcrowded as it is, and Paddington has even more passengers than Euston. I really don't see how it is going to cope. I would suggest either taking a South Western service to Waterloo, or the Central/District line from Ealing to wherever you want to go.
Finally GWR and Avanti West Coast trains meet at Milton Keynes, both companies being owned by First Trains/Trenitalia
Awesome images with trains! Good work! Thumbs Up
Greetings from Dublin

Such a shame Southern removed the link to Milton Keynes. They could’ve had two interchange points including Wembley
Blame the DfT for that.

I LOVE the sounds of those Voyager sets!
Thanks for sharing this video J
I Wonder If Chiltern Railways Would Get New Trains From CAF?
They are to operate these services. They’re getting 196s
@@TrainPlaneHubAre they?? Where’d you hear that? I love a 196!
@@TrainPlaneHuba suprise thought they would've taken on TfW's 175s cos I swear they're getting rid of them
@@oforid2227those are going to gwr
@@oforid2227 they used to have 180's which were of the same family & they wanted rid of them. They really need new trains.
What does the '84 C' plate on the front of the Chiltern train refer to?
7:25 221109 off to XC?
It will be eventually yes.
Why was that GWR class 800 there??
Testing for diversions.

Why are GWR on WCML?
GWR are doing services to MKC in the future as part of East West Rail Link
@@callumwhitehorn998 Okie dokie thanks for letting me know!
Why does that Clubman have Merry Christmas on the board 🤦🏾♀️
I thought they stopped running the Voyagers on the WCML.
Hopefully, from the December 2024 timetable once all Class 805's & 807's are accepted for traffic.

I think that was doing EWR test runs as well.

Thank you everyone. Very interesting. When Paddington closes I imagine journey times will dramatically increase for GWR passengers.
