Sweet video man, I really like how you demonstrated the ways that you created cohesion throughout the soundtrack through the transformations of the motif. Not just with the motif but the cheeky winks towards the chromaticism and pitch-shifting that you'd built into the soundtrack's identity.
Thanks so much for your kind and thorough comment! You get an A+ for class participation. :) Let me know what content would be helpful for you in the future!
Dude, this is your best video to date! Interesting, educational, personal, funny, & most of all - an incredible track! MMX is one of my favs, so I agree 100% with this analysis :)
You are a musical genius man i love it! It’s my dream to be able to compose music for video games and you are fueling me with a ton of inspiration. So much respect, you deserve a billion more views. Excellent content!
I love how even from the 1st Cliche, it already sounds like something that came up straight from a snes Megaman x game. Even if it's just the skeleton of it.
This has helped me immensely, especially the rhythm guitar tip. Thank you for uploading this, it's a year later but I'm as u're it's still helping people like it just did me
I like how you completely glossed over the F major chord being outside of the normal chord types for that key, but made it seem like the G major chord was the oddball
Thank you for sharing this creation. I really dig it. I really like this style. MMX was one of my favorite soundtracks growing up and the soundtrack is actually one of the reasons why I play guitar today. Much of my music is influenced by 16 bit soundtracks. Your Hypermode makes me think of the Gradius games with less prog rock influence. Cool!
Instead of cliche, I think you're looking for the 'trope' term. Tropes of the genre or the musical style. Not trying to nitpick. Very appreciative. Just wanted to help you find the right word. lol
Sick stuff man. I challenged my brother and nephew to a music production battle with the theme of Mega Man music, and your video came up while I was looking for resources to help them out. We'll finish our tracks in a week 🤘
I'd love to see more composing content related to specific genres like "Castlevania style", "synthwave style", "stranger things style", "interstellar", anything like that. Thank you for the response!!
Thanks for all you do, these videos are great and are awesome for us poor folks trying to get started. I totally get jamming to your own work and when it's as catchy as your's how can you not?
this is a great but what would be a great source alternative to Retro Audio Cart. Its kinda a powerhouse and price wise may not be in some of our budget
Hello. I just found this video, as I'm designing a video game like Megaman X, and I understand that music is a huge part to make it successful. Do you create songs like this on request? Like commisisions? How can I contact you? I'm looking for just one song, as I just want to get an alpha stage done. I've been looking for a composer for so long. Either way, thanks for the video man, really insightful.
@@composercode figured it out thanks though I tried looking didn't see it. What you have to do is Pulse & the application have to be in the same location I think in the C drive specifically for me I figured it out though thanks for the help.
Oof, the main guitar is way too high pitched for my taste. x.x It sounds too much like a chiptune instead of a guitar, which would be fine in a chiptune, but not a SNES style tune.
i love it bro!!! im creating a part 2 of a project call "Gamers Junkies" plz let me know if yu would like to be apart of my project! plz check out the first one to get a idea where im goin with it! its on all streaming platforms. "yon L.i. - Gamers junkies"

You definitely nailed the Mega Man X style! I can just imagine jumping and shooting lemons to these boppin tunes!
Thank you!!

Holy O_O watching this first time! WHY? MASSIVE
Very interesting, exactly what I was looking for. Indeed, very Megaman-like music!
I like how you completely glossed over the F major chord being outside of the normal chord types for that key, but made it seem like the G major chord was the oddball
You really nailed it dude. The B section in particular tickles that distinctly Mega Man part of my brain haha amazing job

I need the full soundtrack posted on youtube now! This is too good for me not to hear every day! This is too good man!

Yeah that’s probably a better term! Cliche does have a bit of a negative connotation
I'm learning music to create an intro to my channel in Mega Man X style... and maaaan this video helps so much, thanks!
Thanks a lot for taking the time to do this MAtt, it was really helpful.
