Wow this is a great technique. I love them all but the shoe was fabulous, I would never had thought to do that. Thanks for showing how to use these sprays.
Great techniques. Just wondering... Would you need to wash the shoe before wearing? I'm wondering if you had sweaty feet or it rained if the ink would bleed? I might try this o my granddaughters pumps which were once white lol x
I don’t want to rain on your parade but…One thing to note, Distress inks and stains will always be water reactive so if you go out in the rain, or walk past a sprinkler you will react the ink and have blue socks and possibly feet! Same with the craft apron, if you get water on it it may soak through to your outfit you were trying to protect. I did enjoy your other techniques though.😀
I thought the same thing. Waste of time, money and effort if it washes away because it’s water reactive. I would probably try cold wax medium on shoes for example to see if it would work to protect the surface.
Did you rinse the shoes? Distress inks are water soluble, so if you get them wet, the color is going to run...possibly onto your feet. And spill water onto your apron? Now you have blue clothes....defeating the purpose of the apron. Maybe you could use a fixative, but this would require some testing
Brilliant you can also fix your ink sprays by using a fabric medium like dlap it on fabric, so the colour won't run, if you are out in the rain. Or you can fix it by using an iron and a cloth though better for bags snd aprons 😍💜🧚♀️😘🫂Chris@ Dark Fairy
Some great ideas, Lou, especially the shoe! Love it! 😊
Cute idea
I like the fabric idea.
🎉🎉🎉🎉Thank you!
Love these techniques Lou x
I didn't know about the fabric! Brilliant Idea :D
Love the shoe, great techniques
Awesome ideas!! Love it!!

I like this. I just bought distress oxide stamp pads and can't wait to experiment. The stains might be next ❤
Great ideas!
Fabulous!
Thank you!
Thanks for another great informative video,do these clog please,I know acrylic sprays definitely clog 😬
Did you wear the shoes? How did the dyes hold up? Did the ink transfer to socks? Thank you.
Love the stained shoe! How do you make those dye stains permanent on pourous materials?
I have invested in distressed oxide pads. Does that mean they go bad or my art work on my cards will go bad? If so, is there any way to preserve it?
Cold wax medium will seal it I think. I use it for gouache & watercolor work.
Wow Lou

@@evermoreart Yes, that should be on their list! 😊
Love these Lou, but the shoes are a miss for me since Distress products are water reactive. Thank you.
Yes, all except for the paints.
What colours did you use please
I was told not to use gesso on the gel plate as it damages the plate
Look for acrylic gesso. Not hard to find as most gesso today is acrylic gesso, which won't harm the plate.

Would that actually set in the fabric ? It wouldn’t be permanent would it ? It would definitely stain your feet 👣 surely !?
Aren't you the one to know!!!😂
