Not one drop of sweat! He is the real thing! Genious! Brilliant! Beyond words!!!! Thank you for sharing your remarkable talent with the world!!!! BRAVO!
He is quite well known, having performed in various international competitions. He has an amzing technique with fingers of steel. He also has a built in metronome - did you notice how little he looked at the conductor? On top of all that his phrasing of the melodies was divine. A truly magical performance and performer.

The 3rd concerto is my personal favorite of Rachmaninov's works. I've never heard it played better. This performance can generate tears for it;s sheer beauty .
Astounding performance. He brought out some bass lines that I’ve never heard before and his articulate expression was superb. Sad the microphone has a buzz. Hope he records it a better hall with better sound equipment.
This is a young that literally have ears and listen to what glorious past has us to teach.Upon a good piano finger technique he plays in a good middle way between the only two great recordings of this concerto the Rachmaninoff's and Horowitz's.Finally the tempo is right in two and not in four..shame he must play very classical for the competition but I hope in concert in can be more flexible in tempo!Great pleasure to hear
So nicer than too super-romantic versions. In a way quite closer to Rachmaninov's (recorded) own playing. This concerto suddenly becomes singing and delicate.
Rachmaninov's great third concerto played brilliantly by a young man. Hopefully he will brighten the world for many decades to come. Take care, you are too valuable to lose.
Well, Now. Having heard/watched dozens of TH-cam performances, and having dozens more recorded versions...It's obvious this young man may posses one of the finest, if not THE techniques currently. Peremesky, Volodos, Katsaris come quickly to mind. That is, nearly note perfect technique. From that standpoint, this a bravura performance. The conductor did a fine job, made easier by the tremendous time feel of this young pianist. That said, I would have liked some of the more emotional moments to breathe a bit more. I appreciate that this is the pianists vision, but amongst the tremendous technical demands, there are also times when just a wee bit more expression would have been welcome...at least for me. The 1st movement was beautifully thought out, the cadenza as exciting as you could want, again, near technically perfect, and strangely, a place where some individual expressive moments came in to play. Tremendously performed. The 2nd movement had some wonderful moments, for me, 24:30, the little Waltz, as I call it...the best I've heard on TH-cam, on par with Bronfman. Magical. The 3rd movement IMO lacks the extra little bit of "heart"...for want of a better word...that one hears in the Olga Kern TH-cam performance, Bronfman, and the tremendous "Proms" performance of the 3rd by Alexander Gavrylyuk...a MUST watch here. Again, this is a young man, whose tremendous technical fluidity may perhaps...by accident...over-power his more musical instincts. I believe as he matures, this will balance out. For sheer technical brilliance, and considering the venue, this is in many ways an eye and ear popping demonstration of bravura pianism.
Robert Jason I agree, I look forward to his rendition in 5-10 years times when he is no longer playing competitions. More breaths would make this performance mesmerising. The sound is just terrible due to hall or piano or recording mics, it is a big piano but lacked something. I haven't seen his name come up much elsewhere yet. Are the others dominating the scene?
As a young man, I am very surprised that he is restrained and does not exaggerate his emotions too much. I look forward to him cooperating with more excellent conductors to form his own stable style.
Great performance, but sad to see it was wasted in such a dinky little church with only a hand full of people present. Should have been in a great concert hall. You deserve better.
23:10 - that crescendo needs be bigger/more climactic. Sounds like he rolled the left hand chord. Like Bolet said in his Rach 3 master class: you just can't do that. It ruins the effect of that melodic line not to crest the climb with a bit of flash. He's a rising star and I hope to see more of him. Really hoping he can take some limelight away from Trifonov.
He is a fine pianist, but has a ways to go, both technically and musically, compared with some of his peers. By the time he is approaching 30 I think he will be one of the best.
they could have used a better piano !! for Rachmaninov 3 concerto , one of the most famous and difficult.... Excellent pianist.. terrible instrument.. pity

Hey I wish I could play this well.... or at all. But something is missing... The drama the tension the soul.... they seem a bit lacking. Martha was just as stoic during her iconic recording of this but somehow she conveyed that emotion. still jealous.
