Estupendo vehículo , inmejorable ingeniería , fiabilidad Alemana con los mejores materiales y acabados ,estupenda electrónica etcétera ... Enhorabuena Thomas por ese excelente trabajo. A modo de crítica constructiva y hablando desde el desconocimiento . Por ponerle un pero a esa joya yo le habría hecho un cambio de diseño en la zona de estar . Donde está la pequeña cocina habría puesto una nevera combi con congelador y en su lugar pondría una especie de cocina americana donde está el comedor. Un lateral con el sofá comedor , en el medio pondría una mesa extendible y elevable para que cumpliera una doble función , tanto de mesa baja a la hora de comer y encimera a la hora de cocinar. De esa manera ganas un montón de área de trabajo. En el otro lateral del salón justo donde está el mueble con el televisor lo destinaría para la cocina , ahí cabe perfectamente un fregadero doble y profundo además de una pequeña vitrocerámica con dos fuegos , el horno y una lavadora secadora. Incluso cabría un microondas, además de la máquina de café o quizás una pequeña TV colocada estratégicamente . A mi modo de ver con esa transformación ese camión camper 8 x 8 sería insuperable . ¡Seguir así sois los mejores !

Unicat's expedition vehicle is almost satisfying machine. But if it would be equiped with solar panels, auxiliary generator and a washroom at least, it would be fully satisfying.

Эти машины изначально в виде карьерных самосвалов грузоподъёмностью 30 тонн уже давно. начиная с начала 2000х годов работают на Северах.. Возят руду и золотоносные пески. практически круглый год..Там эти машины хвалят. и никто не жалуется что они не предназначены для природы.. А на Севере дорожные условия тот ещё квест...
Question about the front metal plate/protection. Usually on a TGA/S there's an air intake just under the bumper, but now it's blocked. Does that affect engine cooling?
Great truck camper How's it for security with all the fuses and breakers outside , surely criminals can switch everything off outside before breaking in no .can you answer .
This with out doubt could be converted for permanent living for sure wouldn't have the slide out though!! Keep it compact it's big enough if you have no kids turn the bunk beds into to office area 👍🏻
What about the tires. Are they bullet proof? Kidding. We used a military 10 wheel drive for a emergency room off road fully equipped to provide surgical procedures in the field. And the tires were bullet proof. What are the prices for one of these gems?

Well, many people do not have time for expedition and which is why they do not have interest in videos like this one. But I wish to owe one someday because if I move around, I need to have many things with me prepared especially when it comes to work. Which is why I subscribed to this channel in the first place. But one question, are these type of trucks only found in Germany or other countries also have them ?
Wonder does the roof extend back with the rear slide or isi side like a drawer. Have to go back and see. Are tanks and generator attached to the truck frame or to the habitat?
I have a very important question as regards what you said and would love to get answer, you said the body isn't made for a permanent life but for 2-3 week outing , what is the expected life span of the body if you decide to live in it for a day to day life without having a second option of a home?

Excellent layout. 👍 though some things had to be downsized. The kitchen, but with a good outdoor kitchen that would be doable. This was a bit quicker video. Did I miss water, food storage capacity, bathroom/ shower, or electronics solar / batteries? I'll re-watch and check out the website. Well done as always on your builds. That was a killer front bumper and bull bar set up by the way.

Nice truck. But please update the media inside like PS3, TVs and players because they show the age of the vehicle. Oh, it says it came back for service and refresh. It looks to be untouched. Like they never used it.
The first slide out ive seen on a vehicle of this type. Will we seen more slideouts to expand the width ? More an overlander than expedition vehicle maybe . As always solutions to inspire.
There is another UNICAT 8×8 built some years back that featured a horizontal slide. It was comparatively small due to the torsional stresses these bodies are meant to handle. There's a video out about the build, just not on the UNICAT official channel. The problem with slides is that most of the time, the interior layout isn't particularly functional with the slide pulled in. That's not a big deal when you're camping in one place, but it can be a pain in the ass if you're just pulling over for a bite to eat and a nap before you drive off again, or if your travel was delayed and you're stuck spending the night on some defunct logging road before you can reach a good camping site. The rear slide mitigates that somewhat.
The truck is awesome, everything well explained, easy to understand. The stupid techno/rock music throughout the video, though, really sucks, it is annoying and as such, it's a distraction from the main event, which is admiring the magnificent work of art, that is this reisemobil.
I hope they hired a UI designer since 2007. Because I'm an engineer and even I look at those two control panels and think no thanks, I don't want go deal with that.
I don't think, this body balance will survive in rough terrains. Because even in this small bumpy field that body is swinging too much...as well as it's height to width ratio etc is also a matter of concern while driving this to rough terrains

The slide fits inside like a drawer, with an additional skylight panel on it. The underbody fit out is attached to the truck chassis itself.
How much does a truck cost?
Why not put slideouts in the sides of the truck? I have an rv with 1 on each side. Massive improvement in space.

I think they skipped a lot of that as this is quite an older design for them and not up-to-date as to what they can do.

He said it’s only meant for trips up to a couple months long. Why couldn’t you live in it? Only reason I can think of would be quality.
