Hi Justine. You and Natasha Foote (New Zealand) are riding the same wave, turning paper scraps into cards of beauty. Thanks for sharing your inspirations. Take care. Blessings💜
This is the best video I have seen regarding using paper pads or patterned paper. You were very quick, and right to the point. But my favorite part is that you didn’t put any sentiments or anything on the front of the card. You simply just gave ideas on how to use the paper. This truly was a great video. Now I have to wait till next Monday for the next part. Lol. Thank you for sharing 😊🤗
Glad you enjoyed the video :)
2022 was supposed to be my "Year of Patterned Paper" and, I admit, I've gotten a bit "stuck". This is coming at the right time! Thanks so much for ideas!
I love the big words on the navy boxes behind you on the shelves. Thanks for the card ideas👍🏽
Cool process. 🎀I knew you could do magic with paper, but now, you even do it by double your voice at 8:22! Haha 😂
Why isn't there a multiple thumbs up button? Every design is wanting to make me give a thumbs up. These are absolutely brilliant ideas and the best video I've seen in a long while. Thank you so much.
Love this ‘use what you have’ technique. Ideas are great 😊
Somehow I missed this last week and realized I missed it when you posted last two! So yay! I get to watch both today!
Great ideas Justine!! I will give some of them a try for sure. I see you got to 100K subscribers. Congratulations!!
Thank you love all the ideas you presented love the cards.
Thank you so much for all of these ideas using patterned paper! Love them!
Interesting. I have this exact paper pack and it was next on my list to dig into.
So do I and I love it!
Hi Justine just love your videos, your cards are amazing. I would like to purchase the same beautiful paper pack so when I join as VIP I can use it when I watch the videos and make the cards. TFS. Bev
Great ideas Justine. Love them all. Thanks 😊
Love these, thanks for the awesome video. I love that you didn't show finished for most, but had a couple finished variations shown for one background, to sort of get the ideas flowing with a small nudge.
Thanks for taking the time to present these great ideas.
Thanks Justine for putting in all the hard work with the designs and measurements. I'm looking forward to the next video when it comes out.
Excellent video, THankYou for sharing!!!
Love your style! Thank you for sharing with us!🥰
Fantastic video!
Thanks Justine for these great ideas!!!
SO much inspiration in one video!! I love this! What kind of glue (in the bottle with the pink label) are you using? I need better adhesive. I went to the full supply list but the glue listed doesn't look like what you're using. Thank you!
This is one of my favorite series! 😊 Congrats on 100K subscribers!
What fun surprise. Loved the color combos. Can't wait for next Monday.
Love all the cards....thank you!!!!
I’m new to cardmaking and I find paper packs soooo intimidating! I know I’m “ALL the colors and ALL the patterns ALL the time!” by nature. So I couldn’t find a way to deal with all those pretty paper packs that wouldn’t be an assault on the receiver’s eyeballs. So thank you for a system I can follow!
haha I love the "assault on the eyeballs" I totally get that!
I don't have a ton of patterned paper and I am a suckered for butterflies so I had to order it lol! But now I have a plan to use it, as well as another paper pad. It's all good. I use my technique notebook often to remind me of what I already know. Thank you!!
Thank you for your ideas. Love they are not completely finished.
I see you are using a liquid adhesive. When I use any it makes the paper a bit wavy or it shows circles where the glue is. Does this happen for you?
if your glue has a high water content that will happen. Bearly Arts,Gina K , Ranger make craft glues with lower water content.
Exactly what Ellen said, either your paper is super thin (like printer copy paper) or the water level is too high. That often happens with "cheaper" glue. Ellen's suggestions below are great. I also love Tombow in the green bottle and Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive
Thank you for asking this! 😊🤓
SO great, Justine, thanks! ❤️
Thank you for sharing the great ideas 💡!
Great video, Justine - I particularly liked the quilt cards, but all of the design ideas were interesting. Looking forward to the next installment!
What did you use to attach the full sheet of vellum on the butterfly paper, second card?
Glue. I added a big die cut later and glued underneath it
Justine, this is a great and useful tutorial. Thank you
Great video!
Glad to see you’re honoring @Pocket Full of Happiness and @Taylored Expressions! Their products and artistry are among the best in the business! Thanks for showing the final product in the first few seconds, so I’m looking forward to watching the rest of the video. Thanks for using up paper pads, and @Natasha Foote certainly is tops in that field as well!
I simply choose the products I love. 99% of what I have shown in the last 2 years is purchased by me.
Great ideas. Looking forward to more.
Love this! So much paper to clear out. Love my membership, best I have ever seen!!! Never need to join anyone else and know I can find what I need with you. Still working on my organizer and think I will add this to it. Expand my notebook with ways to do my "paper work". :)
Love the ideas in this video, thanks for the inspiration xx
Great tutorial! Thanks so much for the hard work you put in to do this for us. Very helpful.
great job. i got the book that you were offering. so like the idea, and can't wait to see the other videos
Wonderful ideas! Thank you, Justine! I have lots of papers to use!
Thank You!
Great video and cards. Thanks so much Justine. 😊
Awesome ideas. Thx so much.
great ideas!
Fabulous, as usual!
How do you attach your vellum without glue or tape showing? I always struggle with making it look clean.
I usually add some elements to it like die cuts and glue behind them. Someone here suggested using a large adhesive roll, it’s it’s the same size as your cardstock you shouldn’t be able to see it. Looking forward to trying it out.
Looking forward to next week.
AWESOME! yOU ALWAYS SHARE THE BEST IDEAS.
Thank you! 😊
Great ideas! Thank you for sharing 😊
Thank you for this video, it is really helpful.
Thank you Justine….just what I was looking for 😍
Thanks - I’ve been looking forward to this video and it did not disappoint! Love these ideas!
Hi Justine - love learning from you - I love this video as I have tons of paper lol Just wondering about the foam you used in this video - is it a special one and what’s it called, as I live here in Canada. Looking forward to more great learning videos.
A huge fan in Canada 🍁
Love these card ideas from the paper pack!! On the 1st card where you just cut strips of paper, what size did you cut those strips?
Hi Cynthia, exact measurements are available in the ebook
What glue do you use to attach vellum (without covering vellum up)?
I added a large die cut sentiment and glued behind the sentiment. I haven’t discovered a glue yet that is 100% invisible
If you put your piece of vellum on a double sided adhesive sheet or roll, it will cover the entire vellum in adhesive.
brilliant cards, can't wait for the next part - thank you 🥰
Great video Justine! We all have alot of paper pads that we hoard! Question…where did you get the blue storage boxes on your shelves behind you! The ones i see are all patterned and i like the plain ones. TFS
Semikolon is the company I purchased them from. They are a German company but sell in the USA as well. They are pricey though. I got mostly the 5 pack of boxes. Very stable!
Thank you… I just ran across your video on how you organized your craft room with these boxes! Thank you!
Great ideas Justin! 👌🏻 Thank you 👍🏻💕🐨🌺
I signed up for this course and your ebook on your website. I can’t wait to start the course.
Awesome! Thank you! Hope you enjoy it!
I love your ideas!...
Thank you for the ideas. They are g reat.
Where do we get glass mats?
I'd love to see this kind of video which doesn't rely on people having die cuts and die cutting machines, because those are expensive and take up more room than a pair of scissors. It's always great to have more ideas, but I know I haven't got the equipment to do most of these.
Edit: I'm glad that these ones didn't involve dies or stamps. The colours were beautiful!
Great job Justine! Heading over to sign up for your VIP!
Yay! Thank you! You'll love it over there!
Awesome tips & card “starters”
Great cards. Do you use card sketches or come up with your own? Thank you for all the ideas.
I created card sketches in the ebook for all 34 cards
fun cards
Amazing use of pattern papers 🥰 I love your card designs and your tutorial ❤️ thanks for sharing your creativity and designs Hugs xx
How did u attach the vellum so u didn't c the adhesive on the vellum?
I use a large die on the finished card and glue under the die
@@justinehovey ok. Thank u.
I made 10 cards of pattern #1 and I really enjoyed the process of preparing everything. My pattern paper looks distressed so I used kraft-cardstock card fronts. I'm so appreciative of the time you put into this card series. Thanks so much Justine.🌷🌷
Ty!
cool ideas. I was wondering, how do you glue down the vellum invisible?
I glue behind the die cut
@@justinehovey but at 3:40 there is no sentiment and I don't see glue
How did you attach the full, unobscured panel of vellum??
When I added the die cut, I glued behind the die cut
Has anyone ever told you that you are awesome
That's so nice, thank you!
So far simple but fun ideas. Guess depending on paper pack you would have some very different end results.
very smart.
Justine, this is such a spectacular video! I learned so many different ways to use my 6' stack of design paper! You are AMAZING!
Sorry. I have another question...when I use liquid adhesive, sometimes a little bit oozes out. (Even if I don't put it on the edge of the paper.) It leaves a mark on my cardstock/patterned paper. Is there a way to get rid of the mark? I know about hiding it when possible. Sometimes that isn't possible!
I use the Matt Medium for gluing and it doesn’t leave any residue if it oozies out. Check Natasha Foote YouTue as she only uses this glue.
I would suggest using a matte glue firstly, and there are adhesive erasers out there (they look like hard yellow sponges). They work well for the most part
These 2” glue/residue erasers available @ the dollar tree ($1.25) & pencil marks totally disappear. A craft must-have. Take care. Blessings
Hi. I absolutely love that paper pack you've used but I think the postage cost would be a bit pricey hence putting it out of my range, unfortunately. If these cards are anything to go by, I can't wait to see the next installment. So far I couldn't pick a favourite if I tried, they are all gorgeous! Thank you so very much for sharing these fabulous cards, you have really given me food for thought.
You don’t need this paper pack at all! Use one you have :)
@@justinehovey Oh, I know but it's just about the most beautiful one I've ever seen. 😍
