Homemade Gas Powered Delavan 4900 yard and tree sprayer

This is a homemade gasoline powerd yard and tree sprayer using a 4900C Delevan roller pump. I am using it to spray for wild blackberry removal.

Thanks you helped me figure out what was wrong with mine....I went from from a 4101 pump to a 6500 pump and I couldn't get it started easily. Your statement about the pressure relief valve made me go turn mine out and it pulls easily now. I believe wth the small pump I had it set at a high pressure and now with this bigger pump I need less pressure. Thank-you a hundred-fold!

Question: wouldn’t the pressure be better at 100ft if you either put the speed of the pump up higher or create more back pressure by closing the regulator?

How high can your spray go? I am trying to make a tree sprayer, 30 to 40 ft tall.
