- Welcome to Tick Creek Ranch. This channel
was created to show the daily ins and outs of
life on a small ranch. We are a family of eight,
our lifestyle has taken us from the deserts of
Idaho to the wilds of Alaska and back to the
lower 48. We followed our dreams and finally
settled in the Ozark's of Missouri. We have
owned and operated our own businesses. over
the years, ranging from carpentry and
excavation to commercial and residential landscape. The children and ourselves have
developed a passion for learning new skills
which include leather work, welding and
fabricating, carpentry, plumbing, electrical,
roofing, painting, equipment operation, timber
sawing, blacksmithing, horseshoeing, flatwork
and concrete, timber framing, cattle ranching,
horse training, and many more. Please follow
along on this journey as we build our new
home and delve into the ways of regenerative
ranching. So stick around and watch us create
our dream using old world construction
techniques and style reminiscent of an era
gone by. Thank you and enjoy the journey.

I made one for my food plots that has 4 sprinkler head nozzles on it. The pipe is only 7 ft wide and sprays about 15ft wide. If you were trying to apply more evenly that's a good way to do it.
Brilliant, thanks for sharing!
OK there's something seriously wrong with me, I had your video or a star wars video to watch, and I picked yours too watch first lol
I think that’s a compliment. Lol
I’ve been looking for a video like this well over a year. I knew I was overthinking it. Thank you.
"Enginuity" at its best.
I used to install fence in high water tables.
I use 12v marine bilge pumps for draining water. We were setting 6x6's with 6" og standing water. Ran a 3500gph ($50 on Amazon returns) off a car battery for 2 days from a 4 ft sump, dug with a post hole digger.
Hole needed mud to be cleaned out every 3 hrs or so.
Ran it 2 days and drained an entire lot.
On an 9ahr 18v battery (yes it supposed to be 12volt😅),a 3500gph with 2" will fill an IBC tote in about 7 minutes.
Love it 👏...gonna make a smaller one for my ranger now 🔥
Awesome! Hope it serves you well👍
Great idea. built one similar. A little smaller. I used a 12v battery operated pump from an old spot sprayer and strung together cheap spray booms with nozzles from amazon. I also was thinking with a big tank would it just gravity feed at 20 psi? That would be the simplest.
@@Dave-fo1cb if it were only gravity feed it would be really low in pressure. Fresh water gradient is .433 psi per foot of head . A 275 gallon icb tote would have less than 2 psi at the nozzles. Might work with large orifices but won’t “mist”. Would work well for adding soil amendments though👍
Trucks make great work surfaces!
I do love an IBC tote so versatile
They are, almost limitless possibilities. Every homestead, farm or ranch should have at least a half dozen or so laying around. Lol
Menards in Poplar Bluff is great!
Very nice! Thanks for the video! I will be making something just like this for myself this weekend! Just need to locate a tank. Whats the big wooden thing behind you?
The rough framing of our house 😁
This can be used for so mant different things. Simple items, easy to get, and not expensive. Can't ask for anything better.
Thanks Denise
Have you posted a materials list at all? Id be keen to give this a go to spray weeds
Sorry no I don’t have a material list. I hate to say it because it ruffles feathers but don’t forget “weeds” are a symptom. If you kill the plants that are correcting your soil you’ll go backwards. I will sometimes clip the tops before seed production, but ultimately if you correct your soil, you won’t have weeds. You might notice a pattern, fields that get sprayed for weeds are the fields that always have weeds. I don’t know your goals or the crop that you’re trying to grow. I just know from experience and observation that the aforementioned is the truth. 😁
Sweet rig, great ideas!!!You said poplar bluff….is that MO? If so you’re close to me! Kool and thx!!
Yes! We live just outside of Alton
I live in west ky
Way over my head but it’s obvious you know what you’re doing. 🥴
Congratulations btw on reaching over 75k followers. You were just beginning when I first clicked to subscribe.
Hope the family is well. What’s the goal for the new house this year?
Oh. And how’s the garden doing re stocking up the root cellar?
Hope I’m not asking too many questions. 🫣
Best wishes 🇬🇧
Sorry I missed you post 8 months ago🥴 right now we’re flying by the seat of our pants trying to make this social media thing work. It’s hard to get anything done trying to make content that doesn’t suck lol. We have a lot of vids coming out soon👍 Once again, sorry😁
What size pump are you using? I am running a 2.1 hon and it’s not enough for 4 heads 20” apart
I believe it’s a 1/3 hp
