Sportster 1200 XR CUSTOM - First Ride Review

- So today I had the opportunity to test the Sportster 1200 XR RR Custom racer. It was an absolute animal and I never at any point stopped smiling!
What was amazing is that Roland Sands has ridden this bike in a 1200 XR Championship and came 6th. The XR was truly exciting and at some points it was super easy to pop the front wheel up.
Big thanks to Shaw Speed & Custom for letting me use the bike, they were honestly quite nervous about me taking it out.

Man that is a nice XR! Got mine kitted up to around that standard just in a few different ways. Probably the most photographed bike I have ever seen and I imagine that one is as well.

these xr1200 weight 550 lbs ...i dont notice the extra pounds ..done good riding it home for 900 miles after i had juat traded an africa twin for it even up no cash

Absolutely... I was thinking the same thing. My XR loves to go from around 70 to 115.

Why not by a Ducati? A Aprilia? A BMW? It is a Harley Davidson. I own a XR1200. It is a Sportster...totally different from a Buell.
An XR1200 was made like this from the factory not sure what your getting at Aaron. Yes, we know Buell was very similar and the original to the XR1200.
cuz buying a used EBR wound be light years better with 60mph more top end with a total of 170mph

easyglide it's a different stereo typical Harley.... remember the founders used to race their Harley's ( track ). So you could say it's close to its origins.
