I loved Ruby Tuesday's salad bar several years ago. I used to get it every Friday after work. There was a huge variety of veggies and everything was really fresh and their dressings were homemade. Their homemade croutons were seasoned perfectly. There was even potato salad and pasta salad and meats on the bar. Unfortunately they moved the restaurant farther away from me and I haven't been back very often. So I don't know what the new salad bar is like. I'd love to see what is offered on the new salad bar. I went to RubyTuesday about 30 years ago. It didn’t give me a reason to return then I doubt I would go even if it hadn’t closed up here. And it was located in one of the most profitable malls on the planet! The decor in the restaurant was screaming to go back to the 80’s. I’m not going to say anything bad about the food. For the price you paid you really can’t expect any more than what you got. But I gotta hand it to you guys putting your stomachs on the line to make sure we are informed and entertained! The Ruby Tuesday burned in Pigeon Forge. The Sunliner Diner is in that spot now. I loved the salad bar and the croutons. Bobby looked so pretty in purple. Love your honest reviews.
I haven't been to Ruby Tuesday since Covid. I also think their garden bar is the best anywhere~specifically for their rye croutons! I would always cover my entire plate with tons of those! Their other food is just meh to me...but their salad bar used to be amazing! Would love to see you have dinner with that included next time!
Good enough for the special price. I agree with you Bobbie I'd go on salad bar day. They still have great salads! I usually get a pasta or fish there and it's always been good. I think the seats were just not pushed back into place right, maybe after cleaning. Thanks for taking us along guys!
What’s new about the salad bar? We’ve been going to the one in Branson for 20 years & they’ve always had an excellent salad bar! It’s the main reason my parents likes to go there! 😂 Like Bobbie said, it’s definitely the best thing they have! Oh, & the salad bar used to be free with your meal, but now you have to pay for it.

Hmmm…. The only Ruby Tuesday was closed probably about 20 years.. But I always thought the salad bar was way too expensive….I agree I thought the food was pretty expensive for the chicken sandwich or the burger…Oh well..I see what it was shut down… Still a great video !! You two have a great day!!
The one in our city closed a few years ago. It was very good when we first started going, but quickly and sadly went down hill. Our son loved their biscuits.

I have found it depends on which restaurant you go to, and who is cooking. Overall, even with the many changes, my hometown Ruby's usually has good managers, cooks and food. I do miss some old menu's items.
We have a very good one here in Norfolk, VA. We never see any ads from them and we forget to go there. The cheesesteak is very good. Looks like the cleaning person vaced under your seat cushion and didn't put it back correctly. There would of been no problem to be moved. Tx for going.

The salad bar is honestly all I ever had there I think. I'm a big salad fan and back in the day they really had a fantastic selection of things on that salad bar. It was so good! I'd love to see what it's like now.

I used to be a big fan of Ruby Tuesday. One was like a Swiss chalet and the other like an English pub. They had coupons for 2 steak dinners for the price of one. The steak was excellent with baked potato. The add on garden spot was about $3. It was outstanding including all kinds of fresh salads, not just greens. As time went on, I noticed the salad bar was not as fresh. Eventually the salad sections were greatly reduced. Later on specials were no longer offered. The 2 restaurants by me closed. I went to 2 others on various occasions a few years ago and was greatly disappointed. The salad bar was minimal and the steak was inedible. The prices were much higher too. Needless to say I have not been back. I can see why so many of them closed.

Personally, I would have ordered the Hickory Bourbon Salmon but since they can't get a burger done right, I would write them off my list for good. Thanks guys! ❤👍

Ruby Tuesday's has the dubious distinction of having served my wife and I the worst meal either one of us had ever eaten in a restaurant. This was when we were in York, PA. for my 50th high school reunion in 2012.

We have a Ruby Tuesday close by I've eaten there 3 times twice I got the salad bar. Let's just say both times it did not agree with my stomach. Made me kinda wonder if they use MSG.on their veggies ?? Third visit I got entree and everything went great
You did great on teh cost. The RT nearby my location closed about 4 years ago, but the interior was EXACTLY the same as the one you were sitting in. The salad bar was really good, and they seemed to make most of their money at the bar area in the front with lots of TVs. I only ate there a few time, but they're losing money on the food, making money on the drinks. I'm not sure how Ruby Tuesday fits or is integrated into the concept. There is no Rolling Stones vibe.

It's hard in RT, but I always ask for a table vs booth if I can. I am very, very short (and somewhat round) - I tend to have a hard time in booths. At a table I feel much more comfortable, even though often the chairs are hard enough to make you cry in some places! How did the bun get so toasted on the outside edges but not in the middle??? That is bizarre. I have never been a big fan of Ruby Tuesday tbh - when they first opened years ago, I would go for their salad bar (as did the whole world); then they started being really lazy with the safety of the salad bar and that was the end of that. I have tried RT in 5 states, and the only one I liked was in Tuscaloosa, but that was in 1989!
I worked at Ruby Tuesdays for about 4 years starting in 2009. It was PACKED! Almost always. But I went back a few years after I left and the food went wayyyy downhill and no one was ever there. And now all the ruby tuesdays by me here in NJ closed down. Always sad to see a place go downhill. But I will say that menu looks pretty good, just bad food quality
Back in the 90’s you couldn’t beat their Burgers. They were fresh and cooked to order. The cheddar was actually real and not neon yellow. I actually worked for their parent company back then so I got all the BTS gossip about when they started going down hill and never recovered their reputation for good, quality food. It’s a real shame and I’m sorry for your meal and glad you didn’t pay full price for it.

Those types of family style chain restaurants are basically like generic diner foods. They’re not bad but nothing special.

We have a Ruby Tuesday close by I've eaten there 3 times twice I got the salad bar. Let's just say both times it did not agree with my stomach. Made me kinda wonder if they use MSG.on their veggies ?? Third visit I got entree and everything went great

You did great on teh cost. The RT nearby my location closed about 4 years ago, but the interior was EXACTLY the same as the one you were sitting in. The salad bar was really good, and they seemed to make most of their money at the bar area in the front with lots of TVs. I only ate there a few time, but they're losing money on the food, making money on the drinks. I'm not sure how Ruby Tuesday fits or is integrated into the concept. There is no Rolling Stones vibe.

Last time I went I got food poisoning. Free garlic biscuits are a thing of the past and to me those were the reason to go.

It's hard in RT, but I always ask for a table vs booth if I can. I am very, very short (and somewhat round) - I tend to have a hard time in booths. At a table I feel much more comfortable, even though often the chairs are hard enough to make you cry in some places! How did the bun get so toasted on the outside edges but not in the middle??? That is bizarre. I have never been a big fan of Ruby Tuesday tbh - when they first opened years ago, I would go for their salad bar (as did the whole world); then they started being really lazy with the safety of the salad bar and that was the end of that. I have tried RT in 5 states, and the only one I liked was in Tuscaloosa, but that was in 1989!
This has never been one of our places that we usually go to eat. But I do remember liking their salad bar. 😎😎

I worked at Ruby Tuesdays for about 4 years starting in 2009. It was PACKED! Almost always. But I went back a few years after I left and the food went wayyyy downhill and no one was ever there. And now all the ruby tuesdays by me here in NJ closed down. Always sad to see a place go downhill. But I will say that menu looks pretty good, just bad food quality

Back in the 90’s you couldn’t beat their Burgers. They were fresh and cooked to order. The cheddar was actually real and not neon yellow. I actually worked for their parent company back then so I got all the BTS gossip about when they started going down hill and never recovered their reputation for good, quality food. It’s a real shame and I’m sorry for your meal and glad you didn’t pay full price for it.
