I got to mount and ride the new Tusk 2Tracks today and I have to say I really enjoyed them. The sidewalls are really stiff but I changed both tires by hand like I always do (I do have a cheap Harbor Freight stand for breaking beads). It was a bit hard to get the sides to seat the bead but that is a problem I’ve had with every tubeless tire I’ve ran on this bike. I live in north Georgia and to give an idea of terrain, I mixed in a bit of it all today. Lots of narrow chopped up paved twisties, gravel forest roads, some washboards, packed dirt. In my opinion the rear hooked up every bit as good as the Motoz Adv. And the front I actually liked better than the Anakee Wild in the dirt. On pavement the front felt kind of sluggish to turn in but you get used to it. All in all I think I’ve found my tires for $225 shipped per set. Very happy with them.
Thank you for the comment and letting us know your thoughts on the tires. Never ran Anakees before and I was actually looking for MotOz Tractionator ADV’s before I found these pop up in a random video on my feed. The MotOz were $385 for the set, the Tusk looked beefy and for $210 definitely worth a try. Glad I pulled the trigger on them. 🍻
Thanks for the review! I havent tried using a clamp to squeeze a tire into center rim. Looks like a good idea. I have some new AX-41's to wear out but will try a set of these next.
The side walls are so stiff on the 2Track they don’t want to slide in themselves, clamp was a huge help. You will love the AX-41’s fantastic off road, nice and sticky on the HWY. You can really them in the twisties. Let me know how many miles you get out of them.
You are their target customer, 60 bucks for 10 minutes work is more than fair. Most would pay 100 these days as long as they dont get their hands dirty.
Thought I had a Akrapovic 😂 Bought the bike used and the muffler had a Akrapovic sticker on it. After some deep diving online turns out this is a eBay or off AliExpress, just a slip-on. No tuning on the ECU yet, might look into a full system and delete the cat at some point. Dominator has some nice systems at approachable prices.
Thanks. Just stumbled onto your channel and appreciated the review. I'm on a 990 rolling AX41s so these popped onto my radar recently as I'm planning a rear replacement. I ride a lot of trails similar to this video so your opinions are valued. If I remember correctly, you have a 1090. Would you consider these for that bike if you were doing a fair amount of off-tarmac riding? Say a BDR trail? Cheers from the mountains of Utah.
If you are running Tubeless yes. These are a pain to get one and off so a trail side fix might be a struggle. I did have a 1190, just sold it recently.
Tires with stiff carcasses are a pain in the ass on bikes with inner tubes... I will consider these tires after they have been out a bit longer and there is more longevity data available.
It looks like a good tire, but for me on my ktm 690 i wana have knobbies. I had the stock TKC 80's, Pirelli MT21's on now and next i wana try the Dunlop 606's. If i was on pavement more I'd most likely try these though.
Ive got just the bead breaker from HF. And it works great, never failed to break any bead. Tire stand I use a 30 gallon oil barrel. Low tech works fine.
I wont pay a shop anymore to do tires. They have a frikken tire machine that makes it fast and easy like a car tire. 10 minutes tops to do a rear stiff tire. 50 or 60 bucks per tire, screw em!
@scottloftin1730 Tire machine is a write off, and can be found for less than 6000.....50 sets of tires would not take long at all....12 years ago the local BMW shop was charging 65.00 for 1 tire change, IF you bought the tire from them at a good distance over retail. And you had to bring in just the wheel to get that special pricing......its like they want to chase prospective customers away.
I wish there were decent videos 90% of T7 riders aren’t looking for Enduro or dirt bike trails. We ride gravel roads, chip and seal, a little dirt. Video makers ride difficult BDR roads.
Half hour is minimum charge. Ive watched a shop guy change bike tires and it can be done in 10 minutes or less. Modern bike tires are very well balanced, in general, usually, just as they come.
These would be an absolute PITA to repair a tube on the trail given how hard it looked like it was install at your house. $120 for two tires off the bike doesn't sound so bad when the closest shop to me charges $200 per wheel off the bike!
Lol, all the shops in my town here in Germany charge about 35€ for both tires (comparable to $35) and they always excuse themselves that they can't be cheaper hahaha.
They dont have tubes. Carrying a few kinds of tubeless tire plugging items is a good idea. No tubeless tire is good to do at trailside. They have to be re-seated on rim, it would not be good. All tend to be stiff. Some can be ridden a long ways flat.
i get all 4 car tires swapped mounted balanced for my wifes car for $99bucks but both bike dealers here in town charge $155 to do 2 motorcycle tires , crazy
well that is just rolling the bike there not me taking the rims off , yeah i think ive got a few of us going in on a tire changer , itd pay for itself right quick @@AdventureTomek
Car tires. When I buy a new set for my truck, mounting and balancing are always included. And usually a free rotation or two. Bikes just arent like that.
Have you installed a set of 2Track's on your? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below. More vids coming soon!

Look into the Baja No Pinch Tire Tool. Great tire installer tool for the garage and trail, and not too expensive.
Just checked it out. Looks interesting, a bit pricey.
Thanks for the review! I havent tried using a clamp to squeeze a tire into center rim.

Loved the 80's background music. Nice camera work.
Thanks for watching. Will go more in depth with thoughts on the tires in a future vid.
Wow if that $210 for them both that is a heck of a deal. Interesting to hear that long term review.
So far I am happy.
I think 60 bucks each is good deal to have it professionally mounted and balanced:)
Thanks for the review!
Thanks for watching!

This will be my next set of tires on my T7, hope I can find availability
I’m sure they will become very popular, fingers crossed they keep them at this price point.
Thanks for watching 😁
I have really been enjoying your channel. Recently picked up a t7. Thanks for all your info😊
Awesome! Thank you!
What exhaust are you running? Is it a slip on? Did you have to remap the bike? Sounds great!

Lubrication is the key 😂 to fitting tyres.

One things for sure your not charging out a tube on the trail so don’t air them down
5 months later do you still like the tires? Update review?
Coming soon!

I I’ve heard good things about the 606’s.
Next on my list are the MotOz Tractionator Rally’s
I found them for 180 for the pair and it wasn't rocky mountain
Where?
@@FluxExplorerjust Google tusk 2track and you will see.. this place sells all tusk products
@@FluxExplorer another company that sells tusk products..just Google tusk 2track tires and everyone that carries them pops up..

What about the tire changer from harbor freight?
If I had legs on it I would have bought one.
Might try and weld a tire changer stand myself .

Yeah, exactly. Quick swap for them. I had enough, with a few more swaps myself I’ll get better.

Dunlop TrailMax Missions. Will last over 10k miles
It is an half hour of labor per tire.

Lol, all the shops in my town here in Germany charge about 35€ for both tires (comparable to $35) and they always excuse themselves that they can't be cheaper hahaha.
Sounds like here a few years ago. The Moto shops charge high shops rates now, at least around my area in CO.
They dont have tubes. Carrying a few kinds of tubeless tire plugging items is a good idea.

KTM rims are know for being “super weak?” News to me.

Not sure why they charge so much??? Maybe I should invest in a proper tire changer/balancer and start swapping tires for a side gig
