Those damn rain grooves! Ha! Ha! The 2 Track tires handle them better than most. Off road, I agree that they are fantastic. I've found them to be slippery on cold wet pavement... better than some & not as good as others... but that's a hard ask for most knobby tires. Overall, it's a great tire at an amazing value.
Hi Travis, I really appreciated your video; your comfort on the dirt and mild discomfort on the street, especially in corners mirrors my experience. I too noticed disconcerting wandering of the dual venture front; I just ordered a 2-Track to replace it on my 790. Your reasoning about the stiff sidewalls makes good sense to me, as does your suggestion of running 28psi. Thank You, Travis. Subscribed.
Enjoyed your vid. I thought your off-road perspectives were very valuable and you have the skills to back them up. I've been tearing up big knobbles on my 990 for a couple decades. From single track to twisties and slab, they are the only things I run, and they have never been an issue. Big knobs do fine on the road (less wear rate) and In my experienced opinion, if people are breaking DOT knobbles loose unexpectedly on the road, they are riding too fast, or their skills are too low. Period. I just spooned a set of the 2 Tracks on for a trip through Idaho in a couple days. On a hundred-mile break in yesterday, the tires felt good and performed well on loose climbs, small steps and asphalt twisties. No serious trail abuse and I don't have the dirt skills you have, but so far so good. This upcoming trip is a thousand miles or so with a mix of tarmac, twin track and some wide single track. I'll update wear on my return.
Thank for the good words ❤️ Really excited to see what you think of them after you get back from your trip. These were pretty stiff so I felt safe at 18psi where on other tires I felt I needed a higher pressure to fight off flats. Have a rad trip
I have just over 4000 miles on my stock Scorpions on my T7, and the rear is toast. After much research, just ordered the 2 Track. Thanks for the thorough review!
I’m loving these tires on my 1090. Not just for the money but it’s otherwise been a really good tire this far. To me it’s performed every bit as good as the MotoZ ADV. L
I appreciate the feedback for off road use of this tire. Sounds like you can't really tell me how well they work on pavement for someone who likes to push to the limit of traction in the twisties though.
I’d rather be honest about my skill sets. There’s way too many people that will you they are the best dirt or asphalt rider and given their review when they have no place doing so. Have fun and let me know if you do try them, and how you like them onroad
Just finished Sec 1-3 of the MABDR on my Tuareg this past weekend. It currently has a Motoz Dualventure front and Rallz in the back. I dislike the Dualventure. It performs well off road, but is very loud on slab; and has a slight wobble under acceleration on slab. I have a new set of 2Tracks I’ll be mounting soon.
Nice report! These will be my next tire on my 701 Enduro. Currently on a RallZ rear and stock TKC 80 front. The rear TKC wore out very fast, I don't know why. Just kidding, I do know why 😂 I live in CO and ride a lot of 4x4 stuff like that shown in the video, on down to single track.
I ride lightweight 300-450cc dual sports, and I have been satisfied with the Tusk Dsport tires. They perform excellent off road, but the Dsport front tire can be a little bit sketchy on the road... It appears that the 2 Track front tire would feel more planted on the road, but how will it compare to the Dsport off road, on the smaller bikes?
On road I think you will definitely see an improvement going with the two Track upfront. I would definitely run a lower pressure on your bike because the carcass on this tire is so much stiffer. As for off-road, it should be pretty good on hard pack, but I don’t see it being great in the sand versus a nobby Moto tire.
I thought I heard you say you have a couple thousand miles on them. How’s the wear? I just got these and haven’t been able to get the bike out yet, dang snow. But so far they look great lol. Thanks for the video man. It looks like your having fun.
Travis on a tenere!? What have I missed? I have to catch up. Also, I own a 2022 tenere and rail the thing on road with factory pirelli str but off road they are sketchy. It’s about time for some new tires so these seem like a great option. I have Rocky mountain’s D-sport tires on my husky FE501S and they’re pretty good
I actually had a T7 years ago when they first came out. Quite a few videos back on that thing. As long as it’s not muddy or slippery the stock tires aren’t too bad on packed dirt. But these two tracks are a huge improvement on every surface. Have fun
I’d like to see a comparison between these and the Motoz Rallz/Adventure and the Dualventure front. I have a set on my Tuareg and they are awesome off-road. But they a loud on road and the Dualventure front does wobble slightly on road.
I’ve ridden those a few times and they are great tires. However, I don’t have enough time on them currently to do a video on them. Hopefully Kyle at Many Bikes can put one together soon.
Thanks Travis. Been pondering set of tractionators coming off the stock 890 tires which are great on the road but kinda suck on the dirt. Gonna do tusks now I think. Do you run the tpms sensors? I know My 23 890 has the software built into the screen and thought I’d order some and let the dealer do the first tire swap and add the tpms software. I was told i prolly need a software update anyway since it’s been a year. Popped and major tore shoulder out in October so have become an excellent TH-cam rider this dirt season😂
Great thorough reviews as always. Going put a set on my T7 tomorrow. I’ve always run the stock Pirelli’s because I do so many road miles to get to the dirt I want to ride. It has always limited what I ride when I hit the dirt which sucks because I am capable of riding much harder and funner terrain. I have no doubt they will be fine on the road even though I carve pretty hard and fast. My biggest concerns is how much they vibrate. Their smoothness so to speak. Obviously they won’t be as smooth as a 50/50. How smooth are they?
I haven’t noticed any vibrations or loud noises from them. Obviously take it easy in the turns as they won’t be as good as the Pirelli on your way to the trails but offroad it will change your life. Thanks for the good words 🤙
bro..ypu really need to try about 14-17 in those tires!for offroad, thats the best!i carry a mini inflator and just reinflate when um goin back on the road.
14-17 will destroy wheels on a bike this heavy. If I was just going to ride single track in loose conditions yes it would definitely help but so would real knobbies and narrower wheels. A ADV tire on a 4.5 or 4” rim these come with works pretty well but definitely not amazing
Is this the same tire as the Waypoint Adventure? The tread pattern looks the same but I haven't heard them referred to as the "2 track." If not the same, do you know what the difference is? I got the Waypoint front and rear in preparation for the CABDR North in late August. With just a little bit of testing in all conditions they seem good (but won't know for sure until I really put them to the test). My only gripe about them so far is they were so sketch on rain grooves I had to bail off the freeway (felt like I was going to devolve into a tank slapper). I'll play with my tire pressures and try again - interesting to hear good feedback about that (if it is the same tire we're talking about here). I found them to be very easy to mount (didn't seem like they were that stiff).
They are different tires. The 2 track is made for ADV bikes and the Waypoint is more for 690/klr600 or 500s. The 2 track is stiffer and the rear tire has much bigger blocks to last under more HP and weight I just did some testing with the waypoints on my 500 and will be working on that video in a bit
@@EverySingleSunday thanks for the response Travis. Makes sense. I put them (Waypoints) on a RE Himalayan. I'll look forward to that review! Thanks again!
This tire is much more aggressive than a Trail max raid. The raid is a little better on the street, but not nearly as good off-road I have a video on the RAID as well if you’re interested
How much would you recon they would last? Or rather how they wear for you in comparison to known quantity like TKC80, MotoZ Tractionator RallZ, Dunlop Missions, etc.
@@EverySingleSunday front also? People've worn RallZ front in 1500mi, and in my experience it lasts a couple hundred miles more than D606, which is a 3k tire. That if you get it on concrete slab it will last longer on dirt.
Thanks for the review. I’ve been curious about and also a bit leery of these things. The price point almost makes them scary. I’m curious if you have ridden the motoz tractionator adventure and if you would call this a direct competitor to it or even the rallz. Also, have you tried the golden tyre gt723r/rh? I’m also on a t7 and on a mission to find that sweetheart tire. The bike is an interesting size and it seems that we have tire options that not all riders have. You can kind of go either direction, from full knobby to full street. I’ve found that the motoz and Pirelli offerings in the tubeless varieties leave a bit to be desired when riding aggressively off road. Especially on steep loose downhill sections and loose gravely roads. They are ok, but definitely a compromise, as these things tend to be. Im just starting to lean into the tube type category to see what those offerings feel like on dirt and the street. I have the golden tyre 723s in the garage, but it’s not time to mount them yet here in Colorado. Thanks, Travis. Have a good one!
These are closest to the Rallz tires from MotoZ. The Adventure ones is a bit more street oriented I role the 723 years ago in a friends bike and offroad. I could never find a set in stock so I never owned any. Offroad they were amazing and I never got to them offroad For me. Most of my adventure bike time offroad has been kn Moto tires cause I hate tires that suck. It these 2 tracks have really surprised me…. It’s weird
Ok. Excellent. Thanks for the reply. Much appreciated. I’ll give these things a shot one of these days. I’ve been running rallz and Pirelli scorpion rally’s mostly. I don’t care for the motoz adventure/dual venture setup. I agree they are streety. I’m anxious to try the 723s and I’m also wanting to try the scorpion rally tube type as well as the d908. I get the impression that the rally raid style tube type tires are gonna be the sweet spot between adv tires and full on dirt tires. Time will tell. But, for the money, it’s worth checking these tusk tires out for bdr type rides or whatever. Thanks again, brother. Have a great night!
So, I'm thinking of trying this rear on my Super Tenere. Unfortunately they don't make the size I need for the front. Any opinions on what would match up well on the front that would compare similarly to the 2Track? So far I'm considering the Motoz Dual Venture, Michelin Anakee Wild, Haidenau Ranger, Shinko 804. Thoughts?
All depends on on what you want to ride. This is a fairly stiff and agressive rear tire. If you’re mostly dirt, I’d go with a MotoZ up front in a similar tread.
I’m assuming these won’t really work on a KTM 500? Been running a tusk dsport on rear and stock up front till it is too worn. Well it’s time to replace both. What tire combo do you recommend? I ride probably 60/40 dirt/street but like you really want the off road to be better as far as tires go. Live in East Texas and ride a lot of black top, gravel, fire roads and trails. Also ride a lot of rocky terrain in southeast Oklahoma. TIA!
They would be way too stuff for a bike that light. Even the D sport is a bit stiff for offroad in my option. I really like the Tusk Talon up front and the T 45 on my 500 for longer trips to Baja.
Just put a set of the Dunlop Raids on my T7 this week for a trip to DV tomorrow, I think these Tusks will be next. Seem like a great value, thanks for the info.
Nice. I have had missions and love them in the past. I am mounting up some Raids tomorrow for an upcoming trip to Baja that will have a mix of pavement and some light dirt roads. I’m really excited to try them out
@@EverySingleSunday My previous set was the Trailmax, enjoyed them for just shy of 10K miles, wanted a little more grip for a few upcoming trips so I went with the Raids. I have a feeling they are going to wear quicker than I'd like but we'll see. Wave high when you come through, my house is a mile from the border. Baja is fun and so beautiful.
I'm testing the Raids now, not great in the sand and the front tire is a little sketchy on gravel. But it's probably the best adv tire I've ever run on the street!!✌️
Ive riding my Tiger 900 Rally Pro with the Trailmax Missions. Planning on a San Diego down to La Paz and back, in a few weeks. I was thinking hard about the Raids for my next trip after that, but maybe will consider these Tusks too.
How would you say the rear compares to the DSport rear off road? (I wrote to the comments on to see if I could find if anyone had mentioned it previously. But I didn’t see it.)
All depends on the route you plan on riding. When I do Baja I am mostly offroad and want a full knobby tire vs a dual sport tire. But I am 90%+ offroad for that trip. Pick you favorite front and then a rear that will last you the trip. I’ve been using the Tusk T45 in the rear as it’s cheap and works good enough down there. Up front either a Tusk Talon or a GT 216aa
Thanks. That’s what I was looking for. We are going to do as close to all off road as possible. With all the praise on these things I thought they might be viable for the longevity. I used to run 739ATs but I think they’d be pretty bald by the time I got down to the tip.
The question is longevity? How many miles do you have on them? With your street and dirt riding, how are they wearing? I run a Dunlop 908RR rear which is an excellent tire, but only good for 3000 miles. What do you see with these?
Well, most of my riding is offroad. Compared to a 908 it looks like it will last longer. The 908 doesn’t work as well and starts wearing faster than this out back. I loved the 908 front but onroad it was one of the scariest tires I’ve ever ridden.
These are much more aggressive and much better off-road tire. 80 is definitely a bit more street focused it has a softer carcass which will ride smoother
I've ordered one of those for my rear tire, if I want a front tire that would help for sand riding while doing street fine, should I also get the same tire for front or another tire?
I think actually answered you in a FG groups today. I’m a huge fan of this and it’s pretty darn good in sand vs most other adv tires. It’s good for street as well. I say grab the full set
Somewhere around 2k probably. As for life it depends how low you want to run them. There’s a lot of life left on the tire but I’d replace them today if I was leaving for another trip But if you want to run it all the way to the wear bars it could go another 2-4k probably depending on how you ride, dirt vs street, and so many other factors
If they only last 2k miles what's the point. I am getting way more out of my Motoz. I have not had good luck with Tusk tires in cold weather and rain. Way too sketchy
The front tire is it as good as a Motoz Dual Venture or the old gone but not forgotten (by me anyway still my fav front) TKC80 ??? im kinda with you on that , i just want a tire that doesnt step out or squirm around on the highway but works as good as possible off road and of course that lasts like a Motoz
My time on the MotoZ stuff is very limited and I do not know it well enough to compare the two in depth I have ridden them, but not to point where I know that tire I’m a huge fan of these and think they are a great tire even if they cost the same amount as some of the other stuff on the market

Couldn’t agree more. Big fan of the tire even if it was the same price as others.
Thx for the feedback Kyle! Hopefully RM will have it in other sizes 19/17, 140, 130 for other bikes to fit

How you liking them?
How would you say the rear compares to the DSport rear off road?
(I wrote to the comments on to see if I could find if anyone had mentioned it previously. But I didn’t see it.)
In loose terrain they both have amazing forward bite. The D Sport has better side bite
2 Track is better on hard pack
Hope that helps
What would you think about these on something lighter and more off road? I’m looking for tires to put on my XR650R to ride Tecate to Cabo off road.
These will be very still under that 650. Ride will be super bumpy and not much traction
Thanks. That’s what I was looking for. We are going to do as close to all off road as possible. With all the praise on these things I thought they might be viable for the longevity. I used to run 739ATs but I think they’d be pretty bald by the time I got down to the tip.
I’ll be putting these on. Not sure if I should do it now or get some life out of the oem tires first
All depends on what you like to ride. If it’s just street, use the OEM Tire
Curious to know if they are noisy.
I didn’t really pay attention to it while riding. I have lots of time on them and I’ve never noticed and obnoxious noise coming off the tire.
Waiting for 17". Want to put them on my Himalayan
I imagine they are working on them
The question is longevity? How many miles do you have on them? With your street and dirt riding, how are they wearing? I run a Dunlop 908RR rear which is an excellent tire, but only good for 3000 miles. What do you see with these?
Well, most of my riding is offroad. Compared to a 908 it looks like it will last longer. The 908 doesn’t work as well and starts wearing faster than this out back. I loved the 908 front but onroad it was one of the scariest tires I’ve ever ridden.
I wonder how these are if you had to ride to the start of the AZBDR or CABDR from SoCal. Thoughts?
I’d be fine with it. Actually, top of my list for something like that. Have fun
Lotta sand at the start of the CABDR...so these look like they'd work pretty decent.
How would you compare these Tusk tires to the TKC80’s?
These are much more aggressive and much better off-road tire. 80 is definitely a bit more street focused it has a softer carcass which will ride smoother
I've ordered one of those for my rear tire, if I want a front tire that would help for sand riding while doing street fine, should I also get the same tire for front or another tire?
I think actually answered you in a FG groups today. I’m a huge fan of this and it’s pretty darn good in sand vs most other adv tires. It’s good for street as well. I say grab the full set
@@EverySingleSunday Oh so you did see my post! Yeah I did decide to order them along with the rear tire. :)
how many miles do you have on them so far, and what's your estimate on life expectancy?
Somewhere around 2k probably. As for life it depends how low you want to run them. There’s a lot of life left on the tire but I’d replace them today if I was leaving for another trip
But if you want to run it all the way to the wear bars it could go another 2-4k probably depending on how you ride, dirt vs street, and so many other factors
If they only last 2k miles what's the point. I am getting way more out of my Motoz. I have not had good luck with Tusk tires in cold weather and rain. Way too sketchy
I wish they made those in my size.
What size do you need and what bike are you riding?
Are these tires available in South Africa?
I believe Rocky Mountain ATV ships worldwide but I am not sure. Just hop on their website and give it a shot.
Looks like the "comment" function got fixed on your channel. Over the weekend, all of your videos that I was watching, had comments turned off.
Ya, it’s been a mess. Took a while to get it sorted out but is good now. Thanks
Motoz-killer
They may have to rethink their pricing after the release of these. They are both great fantastic tires.
Sand?
They have been fantastic compared to most other tires I’ve tried on the big bikes.
My time on the MotoZ stuff is very limited and I do not know it well enough to compare the two in depth
I have ridden them, but not to point where I know that tire
I’m a huge fan of these and think they are a great tire even if they cost the same amount as some of the other stuff on the market
@@EverySingleSunday thank you
