The Black men (passport bros) that are so adverse to Black women moving abroad, alone, are strange to me. I saw on one womans video a man ask why our women go to Thailand alone cause none of the men will want us. I was just, really blown away by that response because it just showed me how delusional some males can be. How dare we desire a better quality of life, right? Meanwhile passport bros want to date and marry foreign cause they feel western women are users. I told one guy, you DO know these women only give you the time of day cause your passport and currency are stronger than theirs 😂😂😂😂 my husband said when he first went overseas to play sports the agents wanted to marry him to a local girl so he could play on the national team. And when we travel as a family people in certain places are always saying our son should marry their daughter and he is a teenager 😂😂😂😂
Yes some are EXTREMELY delusional. Someone wrote on one of those pages that black women were FOLLOWING BLACK MEN AROUND THE GLOBE!!! I was like, baby....it's time for someone to take some anti-psychotic medication. Black women have been traveling for DECADES!!
These simple-minded women will do anything believing they are men until faced with a crisis. They voted for change in America, but these same wicked women are not willing to stay in America to enjoy those changes.
I'm 69 ,feel like 50 and am also thinking about moving to Thailand solo, I've been there and kno what to expect, this time alone, the only thing is that I want a visa for 1 yr before trying to buy a condo, any ideas anyone.
I’m moving to Thailand in the next few days so I had to click this video 😅 So beautiful to see other black women putting their peace and happiness first ❤😊
I have lived in Thailand for the past 2 years with my children. I moved out of the States in 2014. I started in the Middle East. Thailand is the most magical place I have ever been to. It gives me ease, softness, clarity and a sense of freedom. My kids thrive here and are happy here. I miss people at home but I would not be with them all the time if I lived there anyway. Women don't move to Thailand for men. We move to heal, get peace of mind and a better quality of life some find love of self, not a man. My life is simple and beautiful, Sabai Sabiai. I get to live unbothered. I love it here ! My family has come to visit me and they have gotten to see what brings and keeps me here and they get it now. If you have the income or a job that you can depend on or work abroad you really should make the move if it's on your heart. You will have all you need and you will meet people along the way. You gurls look beautiful by the way! ❣Happy Birthday, Charlotte!
Amen to this!!! "Women don't move to Thailand for men. We move to heal, get peace of mind and a better quality of life some find love of self, not a man. "
I'd like to add something that I recently realized... I've noticed that quite a few emotionally immature men who've gone through a lot of emotional pain project their own experience and expectations. And I do believe one reason is because the systems that have progressed to move women forward (e.g. our grandmothers couldn't buy property without a man, but we can) have not equally supported men and their emotional growth. Instead of running to Thailand (or other countries) to develop emotionally, they run for women who are considered submissive culturally because then they can still feel like "the man". Also, projecting their experiences is interesting because it unearths the men who believe that their female counterparts (i.e. Black American women) are looking for what they're looking for too. But then fast forward 5 years- the man is still dealing with emotional wounds that he was not taught to manage, and he's in a legal relationship with a woman who doesn't truly understand the black experience, and if he leaves, the Thai government protects its own so... anyway.. just a thought.
@@kangai Yes, women have moved forward and continue too. We no longer have the same needs and aspirations as our mothers and mothers mothers. We don't wait on anyone for permission. Some of the men that I have spoken to have realized how that grass ain't greener (both black and white). They long for the familiarity of someone who has shared experiences and language but that's after they have been ran through and played. See the problem is "running". If you are running to and from it will never work, whatever it is. The women here will say they felt called to be here or that Thailand chose them. The men...it's a cheap place to live with plenty of young tail to buy. I have only spoken to a few who are here for anything else. Now, with that being said there are some good dudes here that are minding their business and working on their growth but the other ones are just soooo loud.

I ❤ the fact that my sisters are thriving abroad‼️ Seeing us all over the world sparked my curiosity, then my desire and ultimately my decision. Frankly, I was tired of the monotony of the 9-5 and not being able to ENJOY my own time. A 2-day weekend was no longer enough to sustain my happiness. I got rid of all my possessions, and moved solo to BKK with one suitcase, a backpack and my computer bag. Been here a month and have secured my retirement visa, a condo, bank account, and now I’m slowly becoming acclimated to my surroundings and the culture. Although I know a couple phrases, I’m looking to learn the language. My family has been very supportive, cause they already knew when I’d set my mind on it, it was a done deal. I love your perspective. Since high school, I have thought about living abroad and did so from 2011-2017 in Singapore. It was amazing and I've been trying to figure out how to make my way back as that is more home to me than any place in the U.S.
Passport Bros travel for different reasons. They travel to find 😸. Their whole life revolves around it. So pitiful. 😂 We women travel to experience new things and they can’t fathom that we don’t center them in our decisions. Edit: Let me clarify that not all men who travel are “passport bros.” The passport bros spew hateful messages about western women and use their hatred of western women as their reason for traveling overseas. The jokes on them, though, if they think women from other cultures aren’t “modern.”
Yes! It's all about control, they don't really care about anyone. I've lived most of my life abroad and have met so many people. Western men only actively pursue women from certain communities 1) cause they won't be held accountable 2) they want to be cheap.
Just a slight clarification. Passport Bros are MEN who want to live abroad. I currently live in Pattaya Thailand because of the same reason as Antoinette. I would be considered a Passport Bro because I am from Atlanta. I will never look down on a woman for doing what is right for them (especially our Black Queens). I am only responding because your comment says: "The passport bros spew hateful messages about western women and use their hatred of western women as their reason for traveling overseas. Again, I applaud each and every women who seeks a better life from where they are and will do within my power to assist. I wish you all well. I was one of Antoinette's first Thailand subcribers because I support my people. www.youtube.com/@AkingInThailand
@@alanking9567 ...Did you not read the part where I separate men like you from the passport bros? The name passport bro has a very negative connotation. So, being from Atlanta makes you one of them? Maybe you can educate us on what it really means to be a passport bro, because I think some bad actors have hijacked your group. They are all over the internet making the most hateful videos, and they're always directed towards western women. They specifically use the words "modern" and "western" like they're slurs. They tell us we're going to die alone or become cat ladies. It's somewhat comical, but also a little concerning, because they sound dangerous and unhinged.
@@alanking9567You are someone that moved to another country genuinely so you are not a passport bro.Passport bros have their own definition so not sure why you want that label it’s already been tainted. If your intentions are pure and not hateful then you are not a passport bro.
Move wherever your heart desires my sister. It’s a big world We all deserve whatever version of peace we aspire for. Sending much love and positive vibes your way dear.
Great perspective from you & your interviewees. At the end of the day, as another TH-cam content creator is fond of saying, “you only have so many trips around the sun…make ‘em count”. That’s good advice for those that are on the fence about moving from the US. Yes, do your research, weigh the pros and cons, develop a plan, and press Enter. 😊 BTW, you’re nailing that British accent, Antoinette Yvonne!😆 I see from a couple of your earlier videos you’re loving the Ekkamai neighborhood. I looked at a couple condos there but decided on the Asoke area. VERY convenient… I’m right across the street (a 3min walk) from Terminal 21 and Asoke BTS. A 13 min walk to Emsphere Mall, and from there a 3 min walk to EmQuartier Mall. Will be doing more exploring of the Ekkamai area soon.
This video was so informing. I’m a black female with a 4 yr old and married. We are thinking really hard abt moving there as well. We live in Dallas, Tx. We plan on visiting in February of next year. Thank you for your honesty and videos. People need these types of videos. Because on the outside looking in, the US only shows the public very little. Plus, the cost of living is so freaking high and it just feels a bit unfair. So again, thank you for this video.
I loveeeeeed this video! Ignant was right 😅😅 because we (my sistas) can go anywhere we so choose. Why would anyone think that a move so personal would have anything to do with finding love? It's more about knowing thyself and what you need. My soul is pulling me in that direction and Im counting down the days..... currently 19 weeks out lol 😆. I'm also a mom and I'm excited to give my son a different way of vewing life. He will know he has options. Also, happy birthday Charlotte!!!!!🎉
I love the overall underlying message in this video of not allowing someone else's ideas prevent you from going after the life you desire. I want some type of homeownership, and I once had someone literally say to me, "you shouldn't buy a house because a man doesn't want to marry a woman who has her own home because it'll mean you don't need him." Well, I literally don't NEED any man. I've lived independently my entire adulthood and had some good relationships and some not so good ones along the way. A relationship with anyone person shouldn't be based on need, but on mutual want, love, and respect. That said, I'm still looking at having some sort of homeownership, whether it's a single family home or a condo. I also want to get a nice camper van so I can go on road trips with my cat after my kiddo graduates and is off to college. If I meet a nice gentleman along the way to share this with, that is life's bonus. Ladies, go pursue the life that excites you!
Truthfully, it's not for everyone but you betcha, it's on my fiance and future husband's travel list. Kudos to doing what's in the best interest of yourself emotionally, physically, and emotionally. Remember, you owe no explanation for doing what's best for "you and your life."🥰
I lived in Australia for a yr. on the Work/Holiday visa and it was such an amazing experience. I’m getting the itch to get back up and travel full time again!
Happy Birthday Charlotte!!🎈🎈🎈 I’ve been going through some things, so I don’t comment a lot. But I am so proud of you beautiful brown skin woman!! I throughly enjoy watching your adventures. I can’t wait to explore Thailand and all its glory again. 🙏🏽🤍
Anyone who has been to Thailand knows that any human of any age, gender, color or creed would easily fall in love with it and enjoy living there. It is probably people who haven't even been there and have some major misconceptions of what Thailand and Southeast Asia is like. At the end of the day, if you can earn a US income remotely, you are way ahead in Thailand. You can live in a luxury condo, eat some delicious meals for $2, everything is way cheaper, and the city is way more exciting than any city in America. Plus you have paradise islands and beaches within a 1 hour flight and tons of amazing places around Asia within a 3-5 hour flight so you have endless places to explore. Then you can just visit the States whenever you want with all of that saved money from the $400 a month rent in Bangkok. This is the loophole of how to get around expensive Western living costs now that remote work is feasible for everyone.
Great video. Black American have lived outside US since 90ties. Recently retired in Azores. Leaving US as a black person was the best life decision I could have made at 38.
Before I got married and had my son last year, I was very very intrigued by moving out of the country. I was more interested in Bali, but still… Even though I have a family now, I still really have that desire embedded deeply within me so me and my husband are figuring out how we can move aboard and where we’ll go. It has to be somewhere that he can still thrive in his work, but he has a lot of out of the country freedom so it works!! I’m really excited. I traveled a lot before I got married and had my son but having a family definitely doesn’t make those desires go away! I look forward to experiencing the world with my family.

Thank you so much 🤗

SPRINKLE-SPRINKLE ... editing very good as usual! Your skin is cool- it is ah natural thang!
Thank you so much!!
Thank you for contributing to the conversation. Such a great view and perspective.
My new obsession is watching your videos to get motivated and inspired be there in 2025
Yaayyy!!
Me too! 😁
I’m taking a cruise in January to Mexico
Hats off to you for following your heart. If I would have known what I do now, I would have followed my dreams. Love your vlogs ❤
Thank you my dear
Great perspective from you & your interviewees. At the end of the day, as another TH-cam content creator is fond of saying, “you only have so many trips around the sun…make ‘em count”. That’s good advice for those that are on the fence about moving from the US. Yes, do your research, weigh the pros and cons, develop a plan, and press Enter. 😊
BTW, you’re nailing that British accent, Antoinette Yvonne!😆
I see from a couple of your earlier videos you’re loving the Ekkamai neighborhood.
Hello and Happy Birthday Charlotte 🎉🎊🎁🎈🥳🎂
Great video! 🎉 Living life beyond the norm!
I lived in Japan for 2 years and I loved every minute of it. Can’t check off Thailand from my list.
I’m so inspired by you ladies and I look forward to taking the leap!
You got this!!
That rain is a vibe!❤
Happy birthday, Charlotte 🎉
People out here asking is Thailand safe for us people, but we are in constant danger in America. Like, right now.
I enjoyed your vlog! Happy birthday to Charlotte 🎂🎉! Great topic! I always say if you don't live your dreams, who will! Peace and blessings ❤!
Happy Birthday Charlotte. Looks like you all had a great time. Glad you all have happily embraced your life abroad.
Happy birthday Charlotte 🎉❤️, you ladies look amazing and happy 😊.
Love seeing women living in thailand it just hits different ❤
Enjoyed this video. Got me wanting to go.
That’s amazing ❤❤❤

Welcome you all to our beautiful Kingdom.
OMG! I’m so happy I found your channel girl! I just graduated college and I am taking a break so my dream is to travel and live somewhere else. Thailand looks so beautiful and I want to live there so bad. I’m so tired of the U.S. I live in Arkansas and there is nothing in the south but crime and patriotic America. This country is too patriotic to me. I literally talk about crime in America on my channel. It’s too much.🤦🏽♀️ I want to experience other culture, so I am officially planning it’s ❤🫶🏽✨
you got this!!!!
Hi Antionette…Happy b-birthday Charlotte. Can wait to join you ladies In Thailand 🇹🇭 I’m so ready. It’s selling the RV for me. I’ve already pushed the “ ready, set reset, GO”. Won’t be long now. The key was saying “yes”. I’m open to suggestions on how to sell my RV quicker… I think this may be my patience round though 🤣
THANK ❤️ YOU 🎉
Oh, I understand you I can relate to you, because sometimes family members depend solely on us to take care of their needs when we have our own selves that we have to care financially and physically, and we have no one for God to do that for us !! I truly understand you wanting to leave to get away because it gives you a chance to evaluate and just take care of just YOU!! I’m going to do the same thing believe me.. we love our family members, but sometimes it takes a toll on us, and we need to break an escape. I’m wishing you the very best on your new beginnings. Of happiness..May God continue to be with you.
Happy Birthday Charlotte 🥂🎈🎈🎊 you ladies look beautiful ✨enjoyed the interviews 👍🏽
