Hey Antoinette! I know how to get you electric bill down. I live 3 hours from Bangkok. I've been here since January. My bill this month was 828 Baht. My lowest yet. The landlord purchased me a fan that I thought I would never need. Well, I need it! I use it more than I do my AC, and my place still stays cool as long as I close the curtains and windows in the afternoon(when it's the hottest). I also turn everything off when I leave and I purchased lights that only turn on when I enter the room off of Lazada. Anyway, I hope that helps. Love your content.
We embrace the simple life here in BKK as well Antoinette..we live in Phrom Phong area and we have a 2 bedroom 2 bath condo and we Just got screens put on and our electric bill went down almost 1000 baht!! In the evening when it cools down I open all the windows and sliding door and keep them open all night until around 10:30 am the next morning. It's been so beautiful that it works. We have a fan in our bedroom all night as well. I think it would help bring your bill down! We pay around 2700 baht now instead of 3600!! Life is beautiful here though and we are SO Grateful too 🙏🏽 Love your vibe and your videos! We just subscribed 🦋💜

Thank you for this life affirming video! Since moving to Canada I’ve continued to use trick to lower my light bill. In the high heat of summer with an apartment that has no ac, I use 3 fans. I find that if I leave them running my light bill still remains under $100! I say all this to say, maybe run the ac to get your apt cool then use the fans to circulate the cool air after you’ve turned off the ac. I know the heat in Asia is in another level but you won’t know if this helps to lower your bill until you try. Good luck.

Hey Antoinette, if you’re an iPhone user you can use your camera to translate text like those nutrition facts. If not, they have translations apps that will change the text to English for you.
You can lower the cost of running the ac significantly by putting up curtains on tension rods to close off the spaces you need to be in the most. This creates zones near the AC units that take less time to cool down and you won’t need to run them as long.

I like being in a country where I feel the people are heartwarming and welcoming. This is not the case IMO and my experiences of two other two cultures. I also have no desire to live in either of those countries climate wise.
