It is *said* that the pressure difference *might* cause certain organs, like the lung to shrink. So if the whale scooped up a few of those of those people, not spit them out, and dove deep, then they *might* be in trouble. That’s assuming the whale didn’t use its tongue to crush the people against the roof of its mouth.

But *if* held in the mouth without being spat out, and dives, the death, depending on the speed of whale diving, *could* be slow, painful. Even torturous, especially *if* the person is still conscious, before blacking out from the eventual lack of air within the mouth. That or the whale could smash the person within against the roof of its mouth with the tongue, slowly. Either way, the sound *would* be more quicker, there for more merciful, being in the mouth, not so much.

I saw a funny video of a Killer Whale that breached and landed on a two man kayak. A bunch of people were screaming and carrying on like pork chops. The kayak resurfaced about 30 seconds later with both bod's intact. Was off Japan though, so maybe there was some needle in it. Funniest thing to see though.

The book is extremely technical. Although some segments of the book were fast-paced and exciting and nerve-wracking, most of the book was slow moving and difficult (at least for me) to picture and to understand. I don't hold out a lotta hope for the movie.
Another thing I found wrong about this clip is that how come the passenger on the whale watching boat survived being crushed by a 40 T humpback whale as it falls onto their boat like it would be realistic if some people were knocked unconscious cause the weight of a whale would crush your skull and crack your spine killing you instantly it is a bit realistic as some People are dead floating on the water lifelessly meaning they died from being crushed or were eaten by killer whales
that doesn't make sense not everyone is directly under the wale, the impact throws them up in the air as the boat splits in half and sinks with people on it stuck to the bars floating off dead then the people thrown up into the air start landing in the water. The people under it were dead.

Hmm I am studying marine biology and I can give probably 5 facts as why this whole scene isn’t accurate or somewhat accurate to real life 1. Everyone on the ship clearly saw the whale slap it’s fin against the water pretty quick which is a sign of aggression and no one noticed ( there is another boat coming in telling them to get out of there but they don’t listen) 2. Why would a humpback whale ever jump on a boat with people on it ? When it will probably get injuried or killed. 3. As the whale lands on the boat there are two things wrong here one why does the boat split in half as it lands on it as it look unrealistic as the ship is bouant. It will look good if as the whale falls onto the boat that the boat gets sent underwater and then splits apart underwater instead of splitting at the surface. Two. There are no signs of the whale being injured after it hits the boat. 4. Orcas are seen heading towards the sinking boat along with the black dingy that tried to warn them of the whale jumping on their boat usually killer whales are know to save people like for instance they save drowning people by pulling or pushing them to the surface, swimming around the person to protect them from sharks, helping the person get food , luring other boats to the stranded person for help, etc for some reason they randomly start eating them ( which killer whales in the wild would NEVER do). 5. some of the killer whale scenes are acually from the internet just edited so it doesn’t look the same and their vocaliszation is the same “wooon” just edited again. The jump scare of one of the killer whales heading straight for the camera with its mouth open as it eats another victim is based on a scene from orca the killer whale where Harrison and the whale fight in the artic it’s edited as it’s shown speeding towards the camera and in the trailer it is seen with a dolphin vocalization which is not accurate at all . For granted this is a show and shows typically do not match up with the real world like this which doesn’t have accurate whales and killer whales. Unlike the attorney Woo a Netflix series THAT givies acual facts about whales in certain episodes like “ are whales born in eggs ? no because like humans they are born from their mothers. Etc you should watch it as it’s accurate there’s some drama and it includes facts about whales that are accurate to real whales . There have been over 500 such unprovoked attacks. And orcas and dolphins do kill for sport or fun - they even batter smaller whales and dolphins just to watch them drown. Sorry to say this, but mankind has been coastal for nearly all of their existence. Orcas are only as old as the first humans, so neither has 'home' claim there.
