I made a few of those for my mother in-law, but I sewed on a large matching button on the bottom of the pot holder where you put the Velcro. The hoop went right over the button. They looked good, but sure wish this video was out last year when I made them for her. I like your dish towels way better that the ones I used. I had bought the Dollar Tree dish towels, but never again. The holiday prints have something on them so they don’t absorb well. I didn’t sew in the ditch, just didn’t think about it to be honest. Mine would have looked so much better if I had done that. If I make any more, I’ll follow your instructions so they will be prettier looking towels. Thank you for sharing!

I used these towels, but I crocheted tops on all of them. Because you cut them in half, I had enough to make my daughter and myself plenty of kitchen towels. My daughter has little ones, so her towels always ended up on the floor. So now hers hang of her oven door, which is perfect and the kids to wipe there hands and clean the towel doesn’t fall on the floor. ❤️❤️❤️ Great video.

Those potholders from the Dollar Tree are really cute! I have several of them. But last week I used one to take a roasting pan out of the oven and it melted! I have some of the Lee Drummond glove potholders and I burned my hand using one of them. They have some silicone streaks across the palms, but it was like there was no padding or protection in one spot. I just must have bad luck with potholders. I think I might just make my own potholders using several layers of wrap-n-zap and quilt them myself. You're ideas are always so cute! Thanks for sharing.

The red, blue and white one is my favorite (the one you made in the video). If I weren't so broke from buying PL fabric today and yesterday at Hobby Lobby (40% off this week), I'd buy one of your towels. (BTW: Had a set back issue with the feed dogs on my sewing machine yesterday, but that's now been resolved. Made about 8 to 10 quilt sandwiches while fuming about the problem yesterday, so at least I got some prep work done. Ready for FMQ practice in just a few mins. before I go to dinner with a neighbor friend. Going to check out a fairly new restaurant. Will continue with practice this evening.)

These are so cute! My towels always fall on the floor so I took to clipping them on the stove with a cpl quilters
    Clips! 😁
The ones with crocheted 🧶 tops are cute too . . . Until you wash them. Then the terry gets fuzz balls all over the crochet and they look terrible!
I was thinking that if you sewed the potholder to the back of the towel first, then put a button with a shank on the front, you could fold the potholder over the front and put the loop over the button. I think it would be cute, and thought that’s what you were going to do when I saw the potholders. Have you tried this? If so, did it work? Or is the loop too big to stay buttoned?
I was also wondering if I could make it work by folding the towel in half instead of cutting it, but wonder if the curve could be achieved. When I’m working in the kitchen, my towels get wet fast, so I’d like a double layer, so it will last longer. Any ideas? TFS. I like easy bc it also means fast! 😂

Susan...you can totally use a button...I wanted to keep it fast and simple✅ You can double it for sue...I'm not sure you would have the curve though...do a trial one and see✅

These are so cute! However as a beginner, I don’t own a surfer or know how to use one…how would I make this without having to surge and still keep a clean edge on the back?

Wonderful video. Do you happen to have an idea for cabinet handles that are vertical instead of horizontal? Thank you again for your great videos!

I would slant the towel so the corner is pointing up and add a fabric loop and then slip towel through loop snug....hope that makes sense✅

Thank you for this channel! I have been looking for projects I could make and sell, for a little extra money. 😁 For we gals who don't have a serger, couldn't we just use an over cast foot?

Try it and see how it turns out...possibly "pink" it...or zig zag✅

Is their a fabric glue that works if no sewing machine?

I am not sure. Glue doesn't sound secure enough🤷🏻‍♀️

Or you can use a button on the back.

Would not suggest self stick velcro. As a long time sewist and quilter I know from experience that self stick velcro does not stick reliably - even after 24 hrs.
