    Other people try to explain how to do these towels. But you do such a great job explaining. I love watching you. Because I can understand you better with the way you explain it and the way you do it. Thanks for what you're doing and I'm gonna make a bunch. After Christmas I have a whole container full of towels that I can double because like he said, we cut the towels. In have and yeah. So I've got quite a few quite a bit of fabric that I bought on sale half price.And i'm gonna be able to get twice as much out of a yard of fabric then I would have gotten before with the price of being half price off of the fabric so thanks for doing what you do I love watching you

      Question for you since I know Christine will be away from YT for awhile. The 7.5x8" piece, which side is she folding? I had started to fold/iron on the 8" side leaving the 7.5 for the width to go across the top, but then realized that she didn't say which side to fold and I started to second guess myself 🤦‍♀️

    • @ChristinesHomeAffairs
      @ChristinesHomeAffairs  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sheila, fold the 8" side together. You want the handle to finish at 7 1/2" x 2" 🙂

      I’m retiring. I was gifted one for Christmas last year. I’m so happy for her pattern. I made a template by cutting the pieces from a cheap dollar tree placemat. I lay it on the fabric and cut around it. So quick!

      I have sold 20 or more at my first boutique. Next one is this Saturday. The problem I am having is a variety of fabrics. Fabric has become quite expensive. I did have a custom made pattern done on Etsy from 1/8” acrylic. So now each pattern is cut precisely and quickly.

    I love the tutorial, it is easy to follow and makes a very cute , useful product. Just one small thought, As both someone who sells and buys at craft markets, I would to remove your label as soon as I got home with my purchase, if I bought it all all. If I am purchasing something to "decorate" my home, the last thing I want is an Label glaringly front and center. It would be much more inconspicuous and less annoying if it were placed on a bottom corner of the towel.

    Thank you so much for this tutorial. I am not a beginner but I need exact instructions and you are easy to follow. I took normal older towels I can't offer guests anymore because they are worn out. It was quite bulky and had problems tucking everything in and some slipped out again. But this way I upcycled older towels and didn't have to throw them away. On some I sewed fabric around the frazzeled egdes to hide them. They are not to sell but for my own use or as a little present for friends.

    I’ve never heard of doing this before, just be an American / Canadian thing, but super cute and thinking I’ll start a new trend across the pond in Oxford. Great video thank you

      Thanks Jane. I believe this was originally an Australian design by notches sewing (at least the sewn version).
      I'm sure all Oxfordians will love them😁😁

    This is my next Christmas gift giving project. Yesterday I made 8 bowl cozies for gifts. Then I'll move on to sewing rope trays for gifts

    I don’t usually comment on videos but I have to tell you that your video for making the tea towels with topper is the best I’ve seen and so easy to follow. Your instructions and demonstrations were perfect. I plan to make a pair of these for each of my Christmas gift baskets that I give all my neighbors and some of my church people. I think it will be the perfect addition to all the baked goods and homemade jams and jellies. Thank you again for sharing such a great video!❤️

    Really enjoy how you explain things. I'm new to sewing and find your items a joy to make. Better still they end up looking like the item is supposed to. Thanks so much. Xx

    Love these towels. I've not seen this style before. Did you come up with this idea? If you did, you are a genius. Your tutorial is well done. Hubby thinks I'm spending too much time on You Tube. I hope he changes his mind when I turn out some great gifts. Thank you Christine for all the great videos. It is really appreciated! ♥️ 😊 🇺🇸

      Thank you Melodie. I can't take credit for this idea though. I first found it on a free sewing page, and a few other TH-camrs have done it as well. Links are in the description😃
