Couldn't be happier for another guy.. he's been at this game a long time, I've seen him on the water a bunch, and he's one of the nicest dudes you'll ever talk to!!
To think that the event was won using spinning gear during the spawn and he wasn't sight fishing is the first...WOW!!!....AND...Hats off to finding such a unique pattern that allowed him to be the only one that pressured his fish!!! Especially when you're on a TN River impoundment that has so much fishing pressure!!
Can't tell you how many times I've broke off all of my drop shot weights and had to use a regular worm/flipping weight and just tie a loop around the weight.. and plain and simple just like he said "just make it work bubba"!! And I've won a lot of money on a drop shot and 50% of the time I never had a standard issue drop shot weight on the end of my line just because I'm too lazy to go spend more money on drop shot weights when I've got so many worm/flipping wights 😂😂💪✌️
I didn't think they used nets... I do not gave a problem with it at all, I think it's less stress on the fish than boat flipping and also helps to better protect the bass' mucus film...
He said I can't hear nothing, I would have probably taken something out of my boat and knock that drone out of the air and just wrote him a check.. especially after just winning a hundred grand! 😂
