Rubber tracks pull like a freight train in soft,wet,ground...slimy clay you could just as well have rubber bands for tracks. Deep bar wide space like"rice tires" will clean and work better in that stuff. Do you guys have to permits to tile? Up here in Minn we have to have tile plans that are summited to the proper water sheds then they have to be approved before anything happens.

Nothing like playing in the mud..😁
Pretty interesting to see the old tile you pulled up, thats some hard Yakka back in the day to lay that tile...

Brian, 30 + years ago we tiled a field on Vigo Road and we found two 1x6’s nailed at 90 degrees to each other for tile. A precursor to the ceramic tile. I wished we would’ve saved it. Definitely an artifact of way they got it done way back when.

In the UK we put stones on top of the pipe, because we mole drain across the pipes, the water then flows along the mole hole and goes through the stones into the pipe.

Hello Brian , you guys got that grain leg looking pretty good . It will look really nice once the concrete is all poured . The dozer was a better idea for pulling that quad - trac . That is a nice dozer . That field tile should make a difference . I think ripping that compacted ground should make a difference .

On our farm in north east Montana, about 40 air miles from Fast Ag Montana. On 1 side of the section line my brother planted spring wheat on wheat stubble. On the east side of the section line he planted spring wheat on safflower stubble. Both grounds were fertilized the same, on the same day. Seeded the same amount, on the same day, or next day. The safflower side had 6 bushel better average, the wheat was taller, looked better from the field road. I know that someone is going to say that the safflower broke up the wheat disease cycle, that is probably part of it. We dug some test holes. Down about 5-6” was a hard pan, the safflower tap root had spiraled around, until it found a crack, then opened it up. The wheat roots had followed the safflower tap root down below the hard pan. On the wheat side, the roots would not go through the hard pan. We noticed the difference for 3 years, then we could not see a difference. Wheat on mustard has some difference but not as much. Safflower has a main tap root similar to clovers and alfalfa’s.
My uncle pulled a ripper on the ends of the fields where we turned around, made a big difference between where he ripped and did not. The ripped grew better the second year. We are in a marginal moisture area. You should be able to see the difference.
    Keep the videos coming.
    Hello from north east Montana.

Early 70s, loaded a pallets of clay tile in an old pickup box trailer with a long trough mounted to the tailgate that drug on the ground. Laid thousands of feet of clay tile across the fields with that setup. Most of it was dug in with a backhoe, and covered with a trip bucket loader on a Massey Harris 30.
