It sure is a beauty. A great video, peaceful and calming. The care is something special. Don't forget about your gorgeous Volvo. It would be nice to combine the best attributes of both; handling, quicker gears, and I love that third door! Red sure is showy and extra gorgeous clean (like black). You mention perhaps selling one when it's time to leave next year. Isn't the Volvo better for all seasons? Just a thought. And of course, I am biased :)

Oh definitely! I won't be driving the Rx-8 in winter at all. But the Rx-8 has the potential to increase in value over time, and it is a more special car. If I do sell this C30, I am most likely going to buy a cheap C30 for daily use, and let the Rx-8 sit for later, because I can't have one car, and that one car have a fuel consumption of that of the Rx-8 😅.

    Awesome new car!
Ive always wondered what its like to own one of these, what do you think of it so far?

I am completely sold! (Except the fuel economy😅) Coming from a FWD Hot Hatch, there really is something to the 50/50 RWD that I've never experienced before. The car rotates sooo nicely through the corners. And the 1.3 rotary screaming at 9000 RPM producing 231hp with absolutely no torque low down just needs to be experienced! It loves to rev! Maintenance is expensive though. There is a lot more of it than on a piston engine, and the parts are not always cheap. Also with mods, living in Norway, shipping mods is nearly as, if not more expensive than the part itself. But I don't regret it for a second, I absolutely adore it! It is still quite surreal to look out the window and see a Japanese sports car there. Luckily it is still by far the least expensive Japanese sports/tuning car, or I would never have been able to afford it, but again, that is partly because it can be very expensive to drive and keep. But I can live with it, this is not my daily and I am definitely putting it in storage over winter, because these cars are known to rust easily.

One of your videos that I most enjoyed watching
We pretty much have the same taste in cars, except having an rx8 being a young adult is very unrealistic xD (* in my country)
What do you recommend to learn about detailing at home?

Thanks :) Definitely something special to have at a young age, but it is about the cheapest Japanese sports car you can get at the moment. I am having an absolute blast with it! (The more expensive part is keeping it running 😅). In terms of detailing, It really doesn't have to be very difficult. Generally you want a degreaser, a wheel cleaner, bucket shampoo, a wax of some sort, and probably also a glass cleaner. Then you can also go a bit more advanced with foaming soap and foam cannon, tar remover, iron fallout remover, detail spray, clay, and while you're at it you might even go with some polish and a ceramic coating. In terms of "worktools" you don't really want to use a sponge, because a microfiber mitt or pad as I am using here is better and washable/reusable. You are going to want a selection of microfiber cloths, and very important is a microfiber towel to dry the car after washing to prevent water spots. Some sort of brush for the wheels is also nice to have. Really just watch some instructional videos and take the best parts from each of them. Over time you will merge everything into your own method and system. That is at least how I did it. I generally wash my daily once a week, to avoid build-up of dirt and grime, but I live in a climate with wet roads 70% of the time which makes the car much dirtier than it would be on dry roads. Maybe I'll make a video on it sometime.

      @@VinnesAutoThank you for the insights!
See, in Portugal an rx8 comes out expensive for a country where the minimum wage is 700eur, and being a student still, the best I can afford is my good ol' volvo
In the summer I should wash my car more often, but given the instability of my hometown's weather, dust and humidity ruin any good cleanup after a couple of days…
The one thing I reaaally need is to retouch my rims, and considering that washing your car in public streets in portugal is pretty much illegal, I may have to dwell on a discrete or mobile solution for detailing
I hope the rx8 doesn't give too many headaches, looking forward for more videos on that one ;)

@@emauzmedia I definitely see your point, but still, nothing wrong with a nice old volvo :) I am more than happy with my C30, but when I had this opportunity to own a Japanese sports car at my age, I had to just drop everything and go for it, and I still live at home, so that definitely helps. Currently I have a well paying job through my upper secondary schooling for my age, but next year I am most likely going to university, so then I definitely won't be able to afford all these cars 😅

Such a satisfying and relaxing video to watch :)
    Will you keep the C30?

    • @VinnesRC
      @VinnesRC 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Thanks, that was exactly my intent :) I'm keeping everything for now. When I move on to university in about a year, I will probably have to sell out my part of the 850 and sell one of them... That's NOT going to be an easy choice. I'm already so attached to this car 😅

@@VinnesRC The Mazda is unique, quick and beautiful. The Volvo is gorgeous, unmatched design, unassuming elegance, and a dream. Just my opinion :)
