  • John and Lance talk about the win the Texans took over the weekend but how we are still concerned that if we are where we need to be. #nfl #texans #houstontexans #KeepingTexasChill #CoorsLight

    I am not worried about CJ. He completed 69% of his passes. I too am guilty of expecting so much out of him but we have to realistic. He is playing good enough minus the penalties that are drive killers.

    Have the Texans reached their peak to where they can win a Super Bowl yet? No! Are the penalties killers? Yes! But does the team have the capability to fix them? You better believe they do. Can they turn it around? Oh heck yeah they can.

    Don’t think we need to worry…. We are playing ugly games and coming out on top. What happens when this team gets Autry, Harris, Dell, Mixon back and start actually clicking?!
    I believe they’re going to get hot at just the right time. Some time mid/late October

  • @mattprovezano

    I am a bit worried. We cannot beat really good teams with mediocre or less line play on both sides of the ball and committing the penalties we are.

    Texans are winning but are a mess. Penalties are terrible. The offense stalls out after half time. The defense is suspect. We can't rush the qb. Our defensive line has been Mia for most of the year not including the bears game. We struggle to put pressure on the qb. Danielle hunter has been Mia so far to start his texans career

    Cj is under a lot of pressure with that jacked up o line, so he has been scrambling, so he is going to be off when throwing the ball.

      I agree with both of those and the lack of run game plus Slowick's playcalling has been bad as well. 2 and 10 and wants to run an end around like come on man, just putting us behind.

    I think we all need to take something into account.. The Texans’ Scheme is the most similar to the 49ers as far as the foundation of what they want to do. They operate differently in some regard due to Slowek putting his own twist on it, but everyone pretty much knows what we want to do. We basically calling a play and everyone knows where we going and CJ STILL GETS IT DONE. It’s impressive when you look at it this way

  • @grahamman80
    @grahamman80 22 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +2

    No wonder CJ's deep ball has been a bit off. The pass protection has been atrocious all 4 games to this point and zero rhythm from all the penalties. DeMeco, Slowik, and Strausser need to take some of the blame here as well.

  • @rodrickcross
    @rodrickcross วันที่ผ่านมา +4

    Defense is as expected. Weak in the secondary suspect at DT..offense is garbage. Scheme is bad plain and simple

    • @rellj8611
      @rellj8611 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Scheme is fine. Penalties disrupt the play calls. Can’t go from 2nd and 5, then to 2nd and 15 cuz of a penalty and expect the offense to move as effectively as needed.

    • @rodrickcross
      @rodrickcross วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      @@rellj8611 watch any analysis of the scheme and you would think different. Hell even Seth Payne and some other ex Texans say the blocking scheme is bad. The run game especially. When you call nothing but zone stretch plays and when you ask your lineman to reach block all the time you're going to get more penalties. The fall starts are different but the holding call s are direct result of the play calling and scheme. Anybody that's played football can tell you this

    • @jt.00011
      @jt.00011 22 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +3

      I been saying this! Play calling is trash and predictable. Screen passes and short yard passes is mainly what cj throws. O line is garbage. Our secondary is so-so. They don't look like a dominant team.

    They don't look good because of the penalties. Those are drive killers and also why he hasn't looked as good. You take back a good number of big plays from an offense and tell them to run it again with more yards needed to pick up the first down and you instantly cause the team to have a worse off look.

  • @timothygalvan1005

    The Oline and Dlune need work. CJ is scrambling almost every play. Run defense is horrible. They are too talented to be missing these assignments. Buffalo is coming off a loss. They are a brutal team. We don't fix things fast...Minnesota all over again.

    Bobby Slowik isn’t the OC we thought he was. Henderson and Anderson coming off the edge have NO PASS RUSH MOVES. They both just try to push the tackles into the pocket. The DC needs to dial up some DL stunts and the DL coach needs to coach up some DE moves. THE OL coach needs to get them to play better. The offensive play designs are pedestrian at best.

    They’re not off, every time they started moving the ball down the field in second half, the refs would throw a flag to slow them down to keep the game close.

    I worry that we might be the Miami Dolphins. In that we are able to win against average and poor teams but get smoked by the great and elite teams.
    The only difference is that Miami is sometimes able to blow out the bad teams while we need last second heroics.

    The only issue is the expectation of perfection. We just became a good team. I didn't fall for the hype, so 3-1 & 2-0 in the division is fine with me. CJ had a 300-yard 2 td record, yet yall are still complaining about it not being frequent enough. Lower your expectations. CJ won't throw for 300 every game & going undefeated doesn't ever happen. We've been terrible so long that we pick apart wins. You think we were 0-4 everywhere sounding like the jags pods. Buffalo got destroyed by a team that lost to the raiders. Bills mafia is still optimistic
