For clarification- yes there is a jump from day 27 to day 34! In between was resting time in Namche / Base camp so we were all recovered for our summit push, craziest thing that happened was i got shaved 🔥
Ryan, your a beast. Always positive attitude. We know you summited. Are you going to keep everyone is suspense of the next couple of videos or post them right away as you edit them? I wish all 19 year old kids had your smarts and ambition. Gene in NH
Congratulations! 👏👏 Glad you made it. And in amazing time 5 hours from the camp 4. I was impressed. But I could see that you didn't take the preparation lightly. I am looking forward to the following videos. How did you feel when you got to the summit and when you got back to the base camp?
You made it. You climbed Everest and came down safely. That is all that's important. Congrats Ryan. I am 83 years old and have raced sports cars, jumped out of airplanes, long-distance swum and flown Hang Gliders. The only thing left on my bucket list left to do is High Altitude Mountain Climbing. Now that will never happen but you did it for me. Thanks. Congrats.
He wasn’t feeling well and had a little doubt when his team was ahead of him and he kept pushing and took it step by step 🦾🦾🦾🔥🔥🔥 man Ryan you are one strong fella so glad u made it to the summit you DESERVE IT!!!!!
It’s like we are walking with you and feeling the same experience. Feeling the heat, looking ahead at the lines, looking back to see who’s following, trudging along knowing you have miles and miles to go. Thanks for great videos and for keeping it real.
This is definitely the best everest content in terms of giving a true feeling of what the terrain is like and how it changes. Ive watched a lot and nothing comes close. I hope that youre abpe to talk about some of the em9tional elements at the higher altitudes, the struggle, dealing with seeing bodies, hypoxia, etc. Well done to you.
Yes Ryan, it seems like everybody has a bad day in mountaineering at some point. In 1989 when I was climbing Denali for the US geological survey to put the monument on the summit, on Summit day I woke up, feeling absolutely horrible. We were camping at Denali Pass as we had lots of gear. What happened is that some of our cooking gas leaked into our food and we didn't realize it. I woke up with a horrible hangover from the fumes. Didn't think I would be able to climb at all. When I finally got out to the fresh air I started feeling much better. Great reports I love your honesty about how you're feeling and what the climbs like. Good work. As you know, by now mountaineering is 60% mental and 40% physical
I am SO proud of this guy for trying to summit the Everest at just 19 years old. And this is probably the earliest I have been to his video, never missed it!!!
Well done Ryan, I'm glad you're feeling a lot better after some food and water ! Make sure you get plenty of rest for the next step up the mountain , I'm sure you're going to do it 👍
Thank you once again for your honesty in letting us know when you are having a difficult day and not feeling so good. Glad that you were able to improve. I'm sorry that you get so many negative comments - everyone has a right to their opinion but the negative people are clearly in the minority and most people want you to succeed and are very appreciative of your videos. It's good that you rise above the negativity and stay positive.
Thanks for sharing the tough parts and the commentary on your feelings at the time. These details make for a very interesting story that provides us a glimpse into some of the challenges you faced.
Please do an interview with Alan when you get back. We want to hear every detail, especially from C4 to summit. Also, how did you feel descending. How hard was it to have to get around all the climbers going up while you were descending on the summit ridge, past the South Summit.
Thank you for the upload Ryan. Great never before seen details have come out of your journey. Stuff |I've never seen. Hard to describe, little stuff. Really enjoying this. Congrats again, dude. Namaste.
My experience when hiking/trekking is never pass up on an opportunity when you feel you need to go (especially #2) and I will not hold back a barf if I feel I need to vomit. Every time I've vomited I've felt better afterwards. (Sorry for this strange comment.) Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
Not a strange comment at all - as soon as he said he didn't go I instantly felt the nauseating feeling of trying not to crap yourself and be sick. He is a trooper!
Just the in-shape level required to do it is crazy to imagine. I don’t even know how guys like Mallory back then with no clear routes really just exploring as you go, and no good equipment or support, just what you could carry all the whole trip, plus no ladders no fixed ropes, doing it back then is just hard to even think how they could do it.
Make it or not, YOU ARE A MONSTER! I mean that in the best possible way. A lot of getting to the summit is just the stars being aligned, as you know. I love the drive. keep on keeping on brother.
Amazing series I never make these kinds of comments but I genuinely cant believe u only have 6k subscribers, especially following this series for a while now
I agree on the number of subscribers. He should have a ton more. This has been a fascinating series to see every detail of what I have read about for years.
Having to go over those crevasses using those dinky little ladders is the stuff of nightmares in my opinion!! I have the upmost respect for anyone even attempting to climb these big mountains.
If i was feeling sick, I would have either stayed low or turned around and gone down. Going higher when feeling sick could be a bad decision. If you collapse, you put the people who rescue you at risk of death.
in sport, there are ups and downs and climbing Everest is not easy. Tomorrow will be a great day for you. rest and congratulations for what you do and your superb videos
Glad you were able to push through that tough day. I've noticed that whenever the sun is shining and you are particularly hot you also say you feel nauseous. Maybe a connection there for future reference? Also, your honesty is refreshing.
Have to wonder if your general ill feeling may have been due to anxiety about the actual summit day approaching. At least in part. Good that you showed that. For the most part we haven't seen you feeling off like that.
It’s sad you’re feeling ill. Hope you feel better when it’s time to go to the summit. The amount of people up there is ABSURD! Next thing you’ll see is a Marriot.
Lost your cool swagger too this day must be really hurting...wish didn't know already what you've accomplished...damn these spoiler comments... but still very thrilling to see keep em coming
Extremely clear footage and a person like me who loves mountains and driving around them specially in Himachal that’s where I stay in summers and so quite familiar with mountain life but this is a window that I’ve never seen of Everest and only heard stories or true accounts! Great job done I’m a huge fan and looking out for more!! 🤘
Congratulations Ryan!! I heard from Alan's podcast that you made it, I was really happy to hear. I still can't believe you trekked all the way to Namche, it seems that it would have been so exhausting, do you think it was worth it? Also, your face seemed to really take a beating, I thought you should have protected it better. Would love to hear your thoughts! Again, congratulations!
If I were of an age, occupation, and financial strength to go on an Everest expedition I wouldn’t just because of the lines. Dying because of a crowded trail is absurd.

I wouldn't mind a video about Namche - how is life there, what can you do, who do you meet? Maybe later on?
