I got to pretty much where you are in my run, just a month behind. The major difference is that Brazil joined the US faction, and I had to take them before I could end the US war. I should have gone after Japan at the same time, but I didn't, so now as I prep for the USSR, I am sending my mountaineer army (14 divs) after Japan from Hong Kong. Initially, I used the same template as OFF INF, but seeing how you designed them, I adopted the same template. Thanks for all of your work, this is a fun run!
@@garyjohnson3252 great to hear that! I believe you can totally get the job done with just 10/14 mountaineers (although, knowing you, I am a bit surprised that you did not make marines yet!). Once you are done with Japan, you can probably use those same mountaineers to take care of Chile if needed, or to invade Vladivostok.
@@MachiavellianStrategist Chile didn't join the US in my run, but I think they just joined either Japan or China, not sure which, but I'll let you know in a bit. I just got Transports done and Marines will be done in a few days, and one of my generals got the Commando advisor skill, so I just appointed him. My mountaineers are hearing rumors that they will be redesignated as Marines soon. They are excited about the prospect of becoming the new, reborn Garde Impériale!
@@garyjohnson3252 hahaha Actually, Chile usually joins against me by declaring war on Japan (which is my puppet) so that might not happen at all to you.
@@MachiavellianStrategist Ahh, that makes sense. In my run, Chile is at war against Japan, but since I didn't puppet them yet, not against me. They are leaning Communist though (42.2%), so they may end up joining the USSR and I'll have to deal with them if any of my South American puppets get into the war somehow.
Oh, on another note, I'm building a bunch of cheap CAV to increase my brigade count so I can recruit a full 24 div special forces army. Somewhat of an exploit, but hey, I'll get their one way or another anyway with technology and/or advisors, so what they heck.
