Im brand new to SoD2 and so far very much enjoy the game. Im quite lost as of yet with what traits and builds to do. This is the best video about building I have found. Great video, thank you!
I highly recommend the three Outpost a gas station an energy supply place a Water Tower Place. If you don't have the Builder boon. I think you can have up to six Outpost so it really wouldn't hurt you. The gas station will combat the cost for the power and the water.
(In case some reads this two years later) You can have 7 outposts with a Red Talon Operator with Hacking as the fifth skill! Keep in mind that he consumes 100% more food as a trade-off
I have enough Outpost and what not to the point where I am plus everything I don't lose any material Health Food nothing everyday I gained instead of lose and I change my base depending on what my need if I'm low on repair kits for my vehicles I'll put in a mechanic shop make a bunch then I'll change it back to the workshop make bullets Etc. Cuz I play long games I don't just rush through the map I enjoy it. I loot the whole entire map before I move on to the next. I wish they came up with an expansion to where you could have multiple bases
A level 2 outpost will teach skills so you don't need to hunt down or purchase the skill book. Cooking at a restaurant, mechanics at a fuel farm, computers at an antenna, ect.
Thanks dude. Just bought the game on sale. Was thinking it looked a lot like the first one but it is really good. They did a good job keeping you busy in this one. I really like the special unlock vendor. Items are really cool. State of Decay 1 and 2 are two of my favorite games.
@@QuickSaveTV Just came across your channel to hear some tips. You mentioned a couple of good ones, but a lil advice to you, it'd be better if you'd speak a bit slower, we'd be able to follow your words much easier. Luckily we can adjust the video speed
I've known of this game but never played it.. I was really impressed! Very involved, never really liked base building games. But THIS! Wow..This is how to make a great game! The amount of work you put into your group makes the loss of one of them really felt. One of the best open world games..
I just started the game, 9 hours in over the past 2 days. I'm a bit disappointed with the rigidity of the base building/character traits. I just want to build weapon defense, build a garden, water system, etc. But I honestly have no idea how do to anything, I don't even see an option to start a garden, or a water catching system, etc. Which is what brought me here. I wish you could just build what you want, without character skill specialization. Just list the materials needed, let me go scavenge to find them. No need for restrictive pre-requisite skills. I have a generator, I've added it to different spots because I have no idea what on earth it's doing. It's quite the let down but I'm about to start your 20 minute video, hopefully there's still some creativity to be had with the base building.
Hi I've been watching your SOD2 guides recently and I have a question regarding outposts, Do I need to leave a bag of supplies in the outpost for it to passively provides daily supplies like the first game or is it ok to fully loot the outpost ? I currently have no supply outpost just a water tower outpost. :3
To get supplies from an outpost you need to get the right outpost. Gas stations often give you fuel for instance. Some outposts give supplies some don't. You have find the ones that give what you want and claim those.
I like it! I really like that there are two great choices for lategame (3,500) bases. I like the tempo and the feel of the map as well as the color scheme. Thanks Hayden!
Beds are useless. We need gym to max heath and a farm in this big slot for example. They will rest the same time with or without beds. Morale? Keep only good characters with your team. My humble 50 cents. LOL.
This game.. is.. casual though.. you don't need strategies, hell I played head-on and only used common sense to play, you could pick random specialties and still fight like a champ.
“Let’s see if we have a cool book ah we don’t very good no actually that’s very bad” 😂😂

How do you not have more subs man your videos are great
After all these years, I finally found it. :D
Wow thanks so much. You really put the game in perspective. I just started last night and so far I'm having a great time.
Having power water all resources in the positive will make your morale green all the time. I mean plus a day not negative a day
So will:
Killing freaks(screamers, bloats, ferals, jugs)
Killing hostiles
Recruiting members
Defending against sieges
Killing hordes
@@OneManCrusade those make you lose resources tho, via ammo, weapon vitality or even worse, a survivor

Hey hey, it's like a weird mix. But I was originally born in Russia.
Glad you're watching together, I didn't realize my show is a family show haha.

Sei... italiano?
Russian
Just a helpful tip, beds are useless. Its been proven the only thing it does is give a slight morale decrease
Even still I care about morale.
@@23dayslater95It's veeery slight that the only time you'd worry about it if you're in lethal zone pretty much
it is just 7 tips, why this video has 20 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!
Too much work I'll pass on this game this should be more casual friendly I play games that have fun not to work
average call of duty player
