Listening to this again made me realize how much I loved far cry 3 and how sad I am that I can never experience it again for the first time but how exiting it was to do everything for the first time. This song is perfect for the ending as it is perfectly portrayed how sad most people were when the game ended and you could no longer have the rush of a first time play through . Thank you sir. For allowing me to relive this amazing time of my life again and I hope you get a similar fate to mine.

I finished this game around early January this year and all I have to say is…..wow. This game was an experience, just seeing Jason go from a normal typical LA bro dude to this psychopathic killer is just good character development. I strive to beat the game again just for this song and those words before the credits role. Ive beat the game around 15 times 4 on the hardest difficulty once on the easiest 8 are so on normal and a couple times with the new game plus mod this tune never gets old its perfect if you haven’t played this masterpiece go do it now i have over 200 hours on this game and i don’t regret any second of playing this game

Haven't been able to get the same kick from the other far cries, dont know why, the story, the characters, the atmosphere, it just doesn't hit as hard as this one. It s a true masterpiece. God this game had one hell of a story the fact Jason came to terms of what he did but in the end there was no Heroes of this story ,Jason had to dive into a path of violence to save the ones he loved lost a part of his humanity but still managed to survive...his story came to a beautiful but dark end
It's a cycle. Citra had a baby with Jayson, and after that she killed Jason so he won't be a king, their child would become a new king( like Vaas or Hoyt) and that's where a cycle spins. When you choose good ending you break the cycle.

Primal (very very close 3rd) 4. New dawn 5. 5
This is the list I go with as well, as much as 3rd was the most impactful on a global scale, the complexity of FC4 and its characters are really enjoyable, and you are always in the feet of Ajay as opposed to in 3 where you put yourself in the other characters shoes more.
Don't know if this was intended, but when I listen to this theme I feel Jason completely and finally broken under the weight of everything he's experienced. The raw power of it, how sudden the song climaxes, and the way it seems to be triumphant and sad and angry all at the same time, it's just truly masterfully done. It's like he finally understands how many times he came within an inch of his life and truly how close he came to loosing himself (if he can even find himself again after killing so many people) all at once. I hope that was intentional, but regardless this still stands as quite the underrated masterpiece.

Every game series has that one special game. And for far cry this is the one. At least to me that is the case. Because to me it was my first far cry.
Well actually far cry 1 was my first but I was so young I didn't even realize what game I was playing 😅

I remember getting up early in the morning before school and play this game, when it was dark outside, and there was a beautiful melody with a game play on the screen. It was wonderful

Far Cry 3 is an artistic masterpiece from a better era of gaming. Games just don't get made like this anymore sadly.
After I first played through this game, AFTER playing 4, primal, 5 and new dawn, I decided it was my second favourite. But aside from that, I described this song as “hopeful but depressing”
For anyone wondering since I said it’s my second favourite, it goes in this order, and I know it’ll be completely disagreed with.
1. 4
2. 3
3. Primal (very very close 3rd)
4. New dawn
5. 5
This is the list I go with as well, as much as 3rd was the most impactful on a global scale, the complexity of FC4 and its characters are really enjoyable, and you are always in the feet of Ajay as opposed to in 3 where you put yourself in the other characters shoes more.
Don't know if this was intended, but when I listen to this theme I feel Jason completely and finally broken under the weight of everything he's experienced. The raw power of it, how sudden the song climaxes, and the way it seems to be triumphant and sad and angry all at the same time, it's just truly masterfully done. It's like he finally understands how many times he came within an inch of his life and truly how close he came to loosing himself (if he can even find himself again after killing so many people) all at once. I hope that was intentional, but regardless this still stands as quite the underrated masterpiece.
Far cry 3 and far cry 4 both are the greatest games ever. You've never played a good game before if you never played them. All these fortnite kids will never know.

Y'all do realize Far Cry 3 and 4 came out this decade. They aren't lost in time where no one ever plays them

My friend told me this was the best far cry game a few years ago before I played it. Then I did. I still love 4 but this game was great, and I described this song as “depressing but hopeful” as I just sat there listening to it after staying on the island.
