I used to stay there all the time when it was the Barbary Coast. I like smaller properties so it was perfect. I quit staying on the strip years ago and have no desire to stay there anymore.
I stayed there a few years ago and loved it, but when drai's club is open on the roof, it sounded like the building was going to fall down it was so loud. I love the very easy access to the blvd.
Thank you for another great video, would love to see you stay at the Strat or TI because a lot of people don't really stay there from what I see from my favourite vloggers
It's kind of funny but this was a "boutique hotel" long before there even was such a thing. It was half the price of MGM Grand (now Horseshoe), Flamingo (when it was Flamingo Hilton), and Caesars Palace across the street. Barbary Coast (the original name) was always a nice hotel on the central strip. My parents used to stay at those "upper end" hotels, but I "roughed" it at the Barbary Coast. When my parents found out the rooms were actually nice, they stayed there too. We loved the "Victorian Room" coffee shop located in the back for breakfast. I miss it.
I stayed there last year in November. The location is great right in the middle of the strip. However, I would not stay there again especially on the weekend.
☆☆☆☆☆All thru this vlog I was trying to figure out what the letter F stands for on your shirt. F One shirt? The Leather Sofa in your room caught my eye I would Definitely sleep on that. The Cromwell is very old it's been like 2 different hotels back then. The Quick change wardrobe edit was cool. I needs to know how to do that one. LOL! Btw I like the Scruffy Matthew Look. Great Vlog as always 👍 👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Silverton is too far off strip and nothing else to do in that area. I went a couple times just because I had played there and got a players card so I’d get $25 food and slot credit. I’d just go to eat there before staying on the strip lol. It’s probably the only casino I’ve been to more than once and didn’t have the urge to gamble in. I’d rather play at mgm and get hotel comps at park mgm, Luxor, Mandalay Bay, etc
I despise teaser balconies!🤬 Paris just installed balconies on their new tower, so Cheapsers should be able to make them safe! If they're scared of jumpers, they're not living by the room quote C'est la vie; That's Life. I've seen some wild parties at the Cromwell pool. I love hardwood floors. My grandparent's old house had them. I probably wouldn't stay here because there's so many MGM properties within that radius, for less money and I don't have a Caesar's footprint yet, either.
So, I was wrong on your live chat last night. Looks like high 90s for the start of my trip. Sigh... Not a fan of that high of heat. I think low 90s and high 80s for the remainder. I am definitely hitting up the pool, and going out and doing things in the evenings when its cooler. I can handle the 70s. Its an issue with my medication, and how I can't tolerate it. Sorry everyone who likes the higher temps. It is Las Vegas though, and I knew this beforehand
@@SayHiToMatthew I was guessing it probably wouldn't last the way prices have gone up. Three mini chili dogs and a fountain drink for $5 would be an insane deal on the strip now a days.
Dude! This our favorite place to stay on the Strip and stay there every chance we get. Its peaceful compared the Flamingo next door. Parking is the easiest to get in and out of.
That is a nice room, in accordance to my tastes. I would like to see something done with that window and balcony to make it more accessible. Or usable. I'm not staying there, but thinking about going to that day club. Looks like a really cool place
We stayed there when it was bill's gambling hall and casino we stayed in a regular room it was bigger than 300 or something ft and had a painted glass window in the bathroom loved it have not been to the Cromwell yet I don't think we'll really be going
Good on Caesars Entertainment for trying something different with the boutique hotel… But I really think they screwed up Barbary Coast/Bill’s Casino by turning it into…what? a spot with moody, claustrophobic rooms and an unnecessarily loud (to me) dark casino floor. It used to be a really lively spot with Drai’s just drawing people in, in droves. Other spots outshine it now. Used to be a lot of fun plus it also had a great coffee shop, right at the entrance, that had great brew 24/7. What’s past is past…I believe the renovations were a reaction to Cosmo jumping onto the Strip, vying for the…ahem…hipster-doofus douche-bag crowd.
Stay at the flamingo. Same location, dirt cheap. I usually stay at Horseshoe where I can walk over to Ellis island or Stage Door for the really cheap eats/drinks.
Have never stayed at Cromwell...there's just so much more to offer at other properties it never ends up being my first choice. Definitely a great location though. Thanks for the walk thru! Have you done a stay at The Waldorf yet?🤔
I stayed there in October 2022. Was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in on the Strip. Dirty room, moldy bathroom ceiling, TV connections not working, dust everywhere, torn curtains, etc. I documented all of it and even though my stay was comped, after complaining to Caesars corporate and showing the photos, they comped the resort fees and then offered me a free stay in a suite at Cromwell to which I flat out refused. Casino is nice, the rest of the place is a 50 year old dump.
The next place you should stay in Las Vegas should be the Park MGM. Hockey season stars soon and that area of the Strip is alive again. Good food in the area lots to do. Plus it's a none smoking Casino. Good pool and gym.

The Cromwell is a good example with what can be done with a old smaller property with the right vision .....
Great casino nice and small can always get a drink. Fridays and Saturdays are hopping there with the nightclub.
I've always wanted to stay here. If we ever leave Cosmo its def on my list!
I think its the most central location on the strip. And I appreciate the rooms proximity the strip!
Thanks for the review Matt

Hello 👋 Matthew. Thank you so much for sharing your videos ❤🎰
@@kathleenvalerio6098 thank you for watching:)
That is one of the nicest pools that I’ve ever seen at a hotel and very little people, yiu are crazy for not going swimming
u mustve never stayed on a 5 star hotel before..
They almost body search you to get into the pools area. However it was a very nice pool area. As expected drinks are expensive at $15ish a piece.
@@DC-zi2rb I have not unfortunately, maybe one day I will!
Try the billagio it's supposed to be upscale yet not a boutique hotel so it rates might not be that high

Thanks for the review Matthew.
The rooms are nice but agree, they are too dark and can be noisy if your room is facing Flamingo Rd/Strip.
will you be trying the Virgin Hotel any time? I've booked for next June
Great location. I’ve always wanted to stay there but I’m such an mgm girl. I like the fact you can use Cesar’s and flamingo Pool though

Well, that makes sense why there is a white noise machine in the room.

Never stayed there just gambled. I did check out the pool/Drais. Great view. I agree if it was a free room I'd stay.

It was always my favorite place to stay but has definitely experienced a significant decline in its upkeep and cleanliness. And no more coffee makers!
$400 for that room! No thanks! I've never stayed at this hotel and never will. 😅
That room is just not worth that price. Not enough food options.
Do they still have the mini chili dog special at eatwell?
I didn’t see it

Tiny dark loud room for $400/night. Hard pass. Aside from location the Cromwell has too little to offer
Nice hotel but no vending machines, you’re SOL at night if you want something to drink without gambling.
Ugly room!

@@Fredbeetle7 why?
This place needs carpets, brightness, and quiet. And Las Vegas is too hot.
