Here it is sept of 24….. found your video super helpful! I e got four presidentials! Love those reels! But I’m starting NOW to take them apart the end of the year to be ready for the pre spawn! Thanks again!!
Thanks for the video...about to replace anti reverse bearing. Nice to have a video to review before tearing down. Great feedback on oil goes on bearings! Very important!👍
I ran my 2500 president over recently and it's spinning just like yours is there the bail is bent and the foot broke off. I honestly can't believe how good it still looks considering I ran over and recessed it flat into the dirt! I figure J-B weld on the foot. And we're going to see about bending this bail back. This really is an absolutely amazing real and I can't express how upset I still am about what happened to it, I'm feeling hopeful now though
Yeah, I learned this in my other videos. This was one of my first of this kind and dang if it didn’t become my most watched and it is not very well done and I’m sorry.
Dagum, I like that cleaning kit. Just ordered my 25X President and a Lew's 6'6" ML SG1 rod to add to my other rods but most are baitcasters. I want something light that I can sling them Buggs Lures out for Reds, Flounder & Trout while out in my Old Town Salty 120pdl. Nice tear down & cleaning. I may need to come back & look if mine hits the mud, lol 🤟 Tight Lines
Thanks for the comment, my cleaning kit has grown some but the basic are the same. I think I put out a video about 8 months ago showing what I used on some of my other more recent cleaning videos.
I haven’t had my reel for a month and it will barely reel in and it’s the same one you have in the video this has happened to me the last two pflueger reels I’m about to stop buying them they cast and work great for the first week
I like trying new and different cheaper brands to see how they hold up and I have most recently moved into the KastKing brand. The one that is a match to this one is KastKing Summer 500. Truthfully this hasn't let me down yet. While fishing for a small 1lb bass in a private pond I was able to land a 4.7lb using the Summer 500 with 4lb line and a Berkly Cherrywood rode ultra line. I currently use a lews spinning reel while I am thinking of replace with another Summer. Just my take on the current reel and brands.
I think when I check, you had to order the full handle. However depending on your imagination or inventiveness, I drilled out some other reel handles and replaced them. NOTE: nothing this small, it was much bigger reel handles. I know that’s not much help but I wanted to share.
I’m sorry I don’t know. I just use old parts of reels that I had. I would buy anything cheap from flea markets even if it was broken in hopes to fix or junk for parts.
I specifically wanted to see how to attach the spool and the drag setter onto the reel. For some reason it’s not catching on mine after I removed the spool to get some fluorocarbon out of it.
I am very sorry if this video didn't help to see the part you needed. I no longer have the Pflueger because of other damage I done after I landed on it trying to cross over a fence on my way to a fishing spot. I replace it with a KastKing Summer 500.
I have a new flugher series 30 president reel that has vertical play in the main shaft about 1/4 inch . It's never been used . Any advice you can provide is greatly appreciated..TYIA
@@MrRebelpit take it back if you can but if not it normally is related to the gear is not in the correct place or the shaft is not screwed in correctly. Just a guess. But that is the only place that normally could allow that if I remember correctly.
I wish you had gone at normal speed when installing the spool...took mine off and the geared washer and bearing with the nylon spacers came off I am not sure in what order they went back on it. Promising video but way too fast to identify the order.
I recently acquired a Pflueger President reel without a handle. Have you ever replaced any parts yourself? I’m not having much luck finding spare parts online. Thanks!
I was told that by someone after this video, but when I tried it on some other plastic it eat away some of the outer coating and I just didn't want to take the chance on some of my reels.
4:17 , I know it’s hard to see but there is you will find the handle needs to be off and then if I remember correctly there is 3 screws on left side and then on the bottom a screw on plate then another screw. Hope that helps. There might be one under the bell.
I am truly sorry, this was one of my first of this style of video and I wish it was better. I had no idea that so many people would even watch it. I really need to make this one again but I no longer have this reel. The only reason I have not pulled the video is that it has still helped a few people out from time to time.
Ok This started as a good video, I could use to clean and basically resemble my reel. So basically I couldn’t see what he was basically unscrewed and screwed behind his basically hand is basically the whole video. And be careful of that spring that basically holds that basic reel together. So just basically go to Walmart and basically buy a new one 😁
@WestPointLakeWilly got it! Had to turn the handle picked up a pfleuger rod n reel At a garage sale today and needed to switch the reel to left hand Thank You!
Mike DeMaria yeah, that is the hard part and also why I didn’t do many of these videos. I really don’t have the right tools to record the angles. I no longer have this reel because I tripped and landed on it. The crazy part is this happened to me on more than one time.
@@WoodsWithT I took it to FL and go sick and went into the hospital for a few days and by the time I was able to clean it the bearings rusted over. I tried replacing the bearings with some I had from another reel, but it was never the same.
Dude I couldn’t see anything but your hands!!! Drove me nuts until I finally just shut it off. I’ve never left a negative comment. So consider it constructive criticism and learn from it.
Sorry about that. I never done one of those before and couldn’t really get the camera/my phone to set in a way it would record and I could see. Thank you for the comment and again sorry for the trouble.
Dude, this is not a cheaply-made reel, it is built like a tank! There's a reason why it is consistently ranked in the top spinning reels. I ran this thing over with a full-size truck. Recessed it flat into the dirt, still going.

That video was helpful, but I’d love to see you do it again with better camera views. Was extremely hard to see what you were doing.

i guess Im quite off topic but does anybody know a good site to stream newly released movies online ?
@Kylan Evan I use flixzone. You can find it on google :)

I have not found anything online, however I have looked in pawn shops and other 2nd hand shops to buy broken or bad shape reel to pull parts.
It's a crank no start President
You can use lighter fluid instead of that more expensive squirt bottle reel cleaner.
