I had mine in a SW window about 3 feet away from it and a leaf began browning. I moved it away from the window and placed under a grow light and it's doing much better now. I have them planted in Lechuza Pon and they love it.
Oh okay good to know! Mine get some south light but not a ton. Glad to know it’s doing better!! I haven’t dipped into pon yet! I’ll have to try that one day!! 🥰
I'm a huge fan of Philodendrons and the Pink Princess is no exception. It's a gorgeous plant that's easy to care for and adds so much personality to any space.

I recently got a Pink Princess Philodendron as a gift and it's quickly become my favorite plant. The variegation is so unique and the leaves are so glossy.

I've been seeing these around town a bunch & hadn't picked one up before yesterday. I saw one that was ALL green with zero pink, and the thought of how excited I'll be when the first pink leaf comes out was too much to pass up on! Ty for the info :)

Needed this video!!! I’ve had a pink princess for a few months now … trying to figure her out!!! Was worried I was killing her thankfully she seems to be perking up this week but she’s got a leaf that’s taking forever to unfurl I’ve been misting the last few days but she’s still stuck 🥺🥺 pray for us!!!
You’re welcome! Mine have been finicky lately! They are not liking this dry winter air for sure! I have a humidifier running nearby but the new growth is struggling lol. They’re so picky sometimes!! Hoping yours get unstuck!! 🤗
Is it best to keep your philodendrons in nursery pots and place them in ceramic decorative pots like you have them in the video, instead of planting them in ceramic pots? Also, can I use a bamboo stick for a trellis instead of a moss pole?

I have three of the pink princess. I have then under grow lights, am having a very difficult time with them. I just read if they end up turning all green no pink will come back

If you use worm castings in soil, do you also fertilize? Or are they good with the worm castings in the soil?
Hi! That’s a great question! I use worm castings in my mixes sometimes if I have it but it’s a really gentle fertilizer. You don’t have to use extra fertilizer if you’re repotting into a new mix right away but it will eventually run through when you water the plant. I transitioned to liquidirt to fertilize for about the past year and a half and my plants really like it! If your base potting soil has good nutrients you really don’t need to add it. I found scooping worm castings into my pots got to be a bit much after awhile lol but if I have it on hand I’ll occasionally use it in my soil mixes just to have extra nutrients. 🥰

I got my cutting in January! So most of the year! I did chop it too so it took a bit to grow back 🥰🥰
