Really like what Kia is bringing out, but even with their warranty, reliability is a ? mark for 10+ years. How could they build an EX trim with the SX Prestige screen? Is QA shoddy? Makes one wonder if there's anything else critical that's flipped

Just reserved one of these (but black interior and no sunroof. I’m 6’0” and was just worried I wouldn’t fit with my hair in a bun but looks like I would have! But also the non-sunroof sportage hybrids seem easier to find so I decided to go without it) and after watching this I’m even more excited to pick it up tomorrow!!

I'm 6' 7", just bought one today. I fit well in it, with plenty head and leg room. I tried this vehicle, the Ford bronco sport, and the 22 Mazda CX-5 2.5s. All good for tall people

Hey, did you figure out how to change the HVAC control display? If you hold the section where you normally press to switch it, a menu will come up to change the behavior. You can have it switch back to the HVAC, or switch back to the other control screen for the radio etc. or you can turn it off and it will stay on whatever screen you select!

Re the changing of the mode for the dials, u can change the default buy holding in one of the selection button for a few seconds.
Do all the EX's come with those coat hooks built onto the back of the headrest ?
At 24:55 .... I'm guessing that that "page" in the digital portion of the gauge cluster will also have the current nav info displayed while nav is in progress (like Toyota RAV4)
Does the EX trim come with fog lights?

I was told that the EX has the one digital looking only tachometer not the one with the multiple displays. How did you get the multiple displays on this EX?
I just bought this exact car but mine does NOT have the Dynamic dashboard view with the skyline. I have the EX Premium package but it's not there. So is this something I should be upset about? I thought it was included with the EX Premium HEV model. :(
Press and hold on the climate/radio switcher button and you’ll get a pop up that allows you to choice what you want the bar to default to, whether it radio or climate.
I tried that but I may not have been holding it long enough. Thank you!

Top of page 3. From what I’ve seen, when you shut off the vehicle and turn it back on, it will revert to whatever you have set as the default.
I watched the night video but didn’t see the backup light shown, & I believe it’s fairly small, not that bright at all. Can you speak on that? Thx.

It is only a single light in the middle of the vehicle but it is bright enough to see fine.

I bought same Color and model and equipment in July at MSRP with 1 month wait. Great review except no mention of the split screen capability. You can select and display any 2 screens at once. I use this feature all the time.

Informative and comprehensive review. Answered all of my questions. Alas the vehicle is simply not available in the south. Even up north all of the ones that come in are already bought. It seems like wait times from ordering from Korea are measured in years.

Just ordered this exact model today at MSRP with a 1-2 month wait! The dealer told me things are getting much better out there with the supply chain so they have a good turnaround again 😊

Long press the climate button, it will then give you the option to have the screen stay on what you selected or to go back to climate or radio setting

I have a problem, I want the interior blue and white color (looks white to me), but I want their highest trim the SX Prestige (with the 360 camera, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, headed back seats, extra safety features, fog lights and the AWD). But the interior color only comes with black and that orange color. If I had it customized, would they let me get the hybrid SX prestige with blue/white interior, or would I have to get the EX?

Can the trunk lid be set to open at 3/4 instead of opening all the way?
If you get that option or the package that has that. The salesperson was demonstrating that when we were at a dealership a couple of days ago, you chose how high you want it and then set it at the height you want.
Also the EX doesn’t have a power lift gate, I have one and it does not include that feature. Are you sure you have the EX?

Thank you for the great details! Sounds like EX comes loaded with all one would need. Any thoughts on long term reliability? Coming from Honda with ZERO issues during my 7 years of ownership, it’s a bit scary to venture out.

How does this EX have the nicer instrument cluster from the SX Prestige? From my research, the EX typically has the other cluster screen like on the LX.

Wow. 62mph running on electric. Most hybrids would cut off the battery and use the ICE. If it wasn’t for the turbo engine and Kia’s impending $2 million in repairs, id have taken back my two Rav4 hybrid XSE deposits and get an SX Prestige in Vesta Blue already!
Toyota dealers are changing mad markups on those RAV4 Hybrids and production... at this time I am told is 8 months out. If you can wait, all the power to you but the 1.6 Turbo has been fairly solid. The problems happened with other engines.
I don't know but if the warranty covered the turbo and parts 100% I would not have a problem.....I myself don't want a turbo either but if it was covered I'd probably be ok with it.

Unfortunately the advertised gas millage is a lie. My car has 3000 miles on it and it's averaging 28 MPG, driving mostly on ECO mode!. Also now that winter is here it is only getting 22 MPG! this is very disappointing 😶😶

@@gadulasatyasivaprasad1189 I live in Indiana, USA. It's very cold here right now and they say hybrids cars lose about 30% of their mpg during the winter. I am getting a 22mpg now. Which means in the summer I should be getting 31mpg. That is still fae behind what's advertised

Fantastic review. My only complaint is that you used your human hand instead of your lovely wand to open the glove compartment. I almost threw up.
Not a big fan of hybrids from personal experience . These types of vehicles are not best suited to gasoline engines . The diesel version is the one to go for. Great torque and 60's mpg

The Bad thing About it is the Turbo.Turbos are bad because they create a lot of heat Which damages engine parts.Natturally aspired engines last longer.

I have Hybrid SX Prestige and I have these 2 blank buttons as well. Kia connect, emergency phone, and 2 blanks.

They are nothing... That is why they are blank.
