    Love your enthusiastic presentation. I love Aveda and contacted Aveda CS Dept, if this product thickens hair in long term, or only gives appearance of thicker hair, while it’s on? They could not answer the question between them, so it’s a bit of a misleading claim.

    • @DeronEdward
      @DeronEdward  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thanks for the kind words! I’d say it certainly physically and visibly thickens hair, but yes it washes out so it’s cosmetic, as opposed to changing the actual structure of your hair or how it grows out of the scalp. That being said, I wouldn’t underestimate how big of an impact that thickening effect can have on how someone feels about their hair.

    I used to use only Aveda. Had to stop for 2 reasons. I’m now on disability because of migraines so I can’t afford it anymore. Second reason one day my head just couldn’t take the smell anymore. Gave me such bad migraines. I wish I could because my hair has gotten so thin. Getting older plus have hypothyroid. I miss my pretty hair.

      Lisa, if you haven’t already, look into healing your gut to improve or resolve migraines. Our bodies are miraculous, it all works together! Many migraine sufferers also have leaky gut syndrome.

      If you really only want one product thickening tonic will probably get you closer to your goal, I could easily recommend using both tho, thickening tonic first and then volumizing tonic over top of it 👍🏻

  • @LeilaVividSounds

    I have natural curly hair that has recently thinned out. I don't want to blow dry my hair and cause heat damage to my already fine stands. Does this tonic actually penetrate the strands and thicken root to tip? If I air dry my hair will it not work so well? I don't wear my hair in blow out styles very often.

    • @DeronEdward
      @DeronEdward  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Great question Leila! Sorry to hear your hair has thinned out, Thickening Tonic should still do its job, but remember it has a grippy feel to it, so you might want to offset that with some heavy conditioning, I’ve used Aveda Be Curly Curl Enhancer on my hair with Thickening Tonic and loved it, and my hair is fairly fine and delicate. It should work great without heat!

    Hi thanks for your video. I really want to use this tonic to thicken my hair. Can I use this before I go to bed? so I shampoo, apply this tonic, blow-dry and then sleep? Or is this mainly for styling so I should shampoo after using it? thank you!

    • @DeronEdward
      @DeronEdward  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You could definitely apply blow dry and then sleep, it works best if you apply right before you blowdry, but after that it’s fine until you shampoo again

    • @DeronEdward

      We can’t claim anything about hair growth or speed, only that it thickens your existing hair and reduces breakage😊

    • @DeronEdward
      @DeronEdward  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Unfortunately thickening tonic really depends on heat to work properly 😬 if you are looking for a thickening solution that doesn’t require heat I’d look at the Invati Advanced system

    Can I use the aveda thickening tonic followed by a sea salt spray? If so do I have I wait for the thickening tonic to dry in my hair before applying the salt spray?
    Would you also use the thickening tonic everyday?
    Thanks :)

    • @DeronEdward
      @DeronEdward  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sure you could! Although I do believe thickening tonic works best with a blowdry, so I would only use it on days you shampoo your hair, and just reapply your salt spray everyday

    • @WabbleDeeDabbleDee
      @WabbleDeeDabbleDee 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @DeronEdward
      @DeronEdward  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sea salt spray you can use on damp or fully dry hair, but thickening tonic really needs the heat of the blow dry to work properly :)

      I’ve honestly never really tested that particular scenario, but I imagine as long as you manipulate the conditioner really well in your hair you’d be fine, BUT there’s a new Aveda Invati Thickening Foam that I like even better than Texture Tonic, I need to make a video on it 😮
