There are 6 crafting professions in WoW, and each profession has the ability to craft specific and unique mounts. Currently, there are 21 mounts which players can craft and today we'll be going over the profession mounts that are the most intensive to craft in terms of the work required, the gold cost for all of the materials, and the time it takes to actually craft and farm for the parts for the mount itself, although the gold costs fluctuate often so take them more as guidelines.

why can't a character learn all professions ? ... always wonder that... before you got the buff like +critic and special unique items...but now ...
Would kinda remove the flavour of having expertise in these 2 things, and remove the need to go to others to get things crafted.
Just a quick correction on 3 and 4... while it requires either gnomish or goblin engineering for either or it is not restricted to alliance or horde.

Same thing happened to me with the Lizi mount where you habe to turn in 10 „Thousand bite Piranhas“. I was like wtf where do i geg 10k fish.

You can get the vial of the sands recipe by any archeology that gives you the boxes (WoD and up) by doing the archeology, turning them into boxes, and getting tol'vir boxes in Legion's Dalaran. Also, the Geosynchronous World Spinner isn't Alliance only, it's Gnomish Engineering which any engineer can spec into/ The Depleted Kyparium Rocket is the Goblin Engineering option. You can either have Gnomish or Goblin unless you have two Engineers.
Pandaria and up for archaeology if your skill is 600+. There is a trick that makes it easier by buying a loremaster kit at the Seat of Knowledge above Mogushan Palace dungeon. The kit contains a sonic locator and a map. Having the sonic locator in your inventory automatically makes all newly spawned Pandaren archeology sites be Mantid archaeology and appear in only 2 zones. Using the map scrambles and resets all existing archaeology sites, which means that with the Sonic locator they will all be Mantid sites. Mantid sites also tend to be very small in area. so not much running around. So dig those sites, create crates and trade them in at the seat of knowledge for Tol'vir fragments. Once in a while you might get a Pristine mantid artifact which you can trade in for 3 crates. You can also trade them for any pre-Pandaria artifacts if you also want to make the Fossil mount, for example. Or even take them to Dalaran or BFA city to trade them in for newer stuff.
You can drop gnomish to pick up goblin and vice versa on the same engineer, and you maintain the recipe of the other specialisation in the background
Fun fact: When they first added Vial of the Sands, when you carried a passenger, you would hold them in your claws instead of on your back. I dont remember what patch they changed it though.

It's also worth noting that the jeweled onyx panther probably isn't more expensive because it was amongst the most duped items of all time with several dupe exploits cropping up in mists of pandaria. Blizzard tried to delete all the dupes but there were just so many that a lot of stock survived.
about the motorcycle mounts - The vendor parts can be rarely salvaged from mechanicals in Ulduar.
Man, I remember being in the PTR when the flying machine was in development. I knew that was going to be a long rough road! I farmed everything for it so when it released I would be ready to go. I made the mount and took off across Shattrath and it sounded like the engine was stalling out, I figured something went wrong and I was going to die, then it kicked back in again.

Most engineering mounts are so noisy that I hate using them.
Crafted both versions for myself in classic and tbh it was super easy and not that expensive or time consuming. Figured it would be way harder to get.
KKKKKKKKKKKKKK Sometimes I think it will explode! I love this mount.
Correction for the Mechano-Hog and it's counterpart is that it's a 2-seater mount and the Exhaust pipe has at least a 24 hour buy cooldown shared with everyone on the server which was bigger back in the day. It's one of the few mounts that change its model significantly based on whether 2 people ride it or not. You also swapped the horde and alliance symbols next to the names.
the worldspinner/rocket can be learned by both factions just need gnomish or goblin engineering respectively
Correction on the compendium for sky golem - it’s insanely easy to get. As long as youre max engineering in pandaria, head to Vale of Eternal Blossoms and kill mobs in the non sha-touched variation. You’ll have a drop near instantly
It’s also insanely difficult to sell the jeweled onyx panther. I remember trying to dump the one I made for months until I just cracked and learned it myself
For the Sky Golem I thought you said 6 trillion bars and I snapped my head back so fast lol
I got the Onyx Panther for 120 gold back in Mist when I just started playing the game, and some poor soul sold it for 120 gold by mistake
Woooo... I built the engineering flying machine back in TBC! Unfortunately I didn't build a second version of the original, so ONLY have the turbo one (I really need to go back and fix that)

Yeah I just bought mine for like 60k a year or two ago. Wanted it since it released though, was just too expensive, and took too long.
I will never forget the grind for the recipe. No matter how hard I try.
I remember slowly saving up the gold to buy the npc matts and jumping onmy other toons to gather the rest. I was able to get someone to craft the mount for 2.5k as long as I used the item in front of them so they knew I wasnt making bank on AH.
I have a Sky Golum and an engineer, but my engineer did not know that recipe. So I certainly got it from AH and I don't remember how much I paid.

Any player can be gnomish or goblin engineering. It's not tied to the factions.
I got a Sandstone Drake back in Cata. I did a LOT of farming as a Miner with Engineering, getting all the ores and elements with that combination, and selling the excess to fund the rest of the materials. I remember Volatile Air was the most valuable to sell for some reason.
It's the more annoying to farm iirc, you had to go to the Vortex something dungeon
Don't forget to grind classic alchemy to learn Transmute Mastery to sometimes craft 2-4 Living Steel instead of just 1. You also need 4 living steel to finish the mastery quest.
Very easy to get all the ghost iron and trillium you need by running at least 2 exalted halfhill farms using 16 Snakeroot each.
You can easily make a low-effort Sky Golem each month for as little as a 5 minute daily chore.

I like how the #1 mount is of the 2 mounts i have crafted. I farmed all the material when it was current content with my Pally jewelcrafter/miner. I've only crafted the sapphire panther a 2nd time since blue is my favorite color, but couldn't bring myself to farm the mats for the other 3. Bought the sunstone panter it was cheaper to buy it off AH then the price of the orbs of mystery during shadowlands which was a surprise. Got to love the people that undercut each other despite the cost it took to craft.
One day I'll get around crafting the last 2 or get lucky on AH again. Was surprised by the vial of sand mount being at 5, but I do have to remind myself I was an archeology nut and I have a alchemy/herblist hunter alt because raid flasks and pots are expensive.

When MoP was current someone on ym server messed up and was selling 4 Onyx Panthers for 2 silver 50 copper. I managed to grab 2 before they vanished. Flipped that for startup cash for my crafting professions and funded everything I needed from there.
I know I made the Jeweled Onyx Panther for my GM on my off tank blood DK but don't remember the mats being that expensive. I have the Vial of Sands myself. I was first officer and my bro was a mount collecting GM. Still remember how pissed him and everyone was when I got the Headless Horseman's Mount near it's release, took him another 3 years I think, lol.

Great Video. Sometimes selling a profession mount is good to get some gold in order to buy a Wow token for more game time.
I confess I am very surprised to see the price of the Mechas Hog and Chopper, since in my server was selled about 25-30k gold. The best place to get the minning itens of they are in Wintergrasp, since there had some elementals who drop the motes and according to wow head it has some of the higher chances to spawn the titanium vein( a rare drop from the saronite veins) and you can sell the saronites later for gold for the purchasable parts.
One day I hope to have some time and craft all these mounts!
Just transmute Saronite bars into titanium. Ends up being WAY faster if you want to craft it yourself.

Does Halfhill farm count as quests for farming Spirit of Harmony? Because you can easily get 12(?) a day if you plant the seeds. It was super easy to farm them up, especially if you have alts with finished farm lots.
I have so many Motes of Harmony that I can convert to spirits for 10/1 that I never found spirits to be rare.
Vial of the Sands and Sky Golem are so painful to make...

Gawds, i spent a fortune on that bloody motorcycle just to make the damn thing. Eng/Skinner on my main and Herb/Mining on my alt (saved a lil money for that). And I made that motorcycle back in WoTLK. I at least I got some money back on that investment when I made the second one and sold it on the AH.
One a whole different point....I remember back when hunters had to buy their own arrows. Took me ages, but farmed for the BiS arrow recipe(Engineer made) and then had to sink a ton of money into leveling up my Eng skill and making the damned things. I was THRILLED back in WoTLK when they announced that the were taking the arrow requirement away. Freed up about 10-15 slots in my inventory.
You do not need to have the Philosophers stone equipped. Only in your bags. It may have also been an oversight but Transmutation master was a thing in the past which helped make some of the transmute costs cheaper.
i know from firsthand experience how hard the #1 is. made one for my brother for Christmas took a long time
got vial of the sands back in bfa for 30k and jeweled onyh panther for 30k as well didnt notice prices whent so high
Lots of people who had the recipes quit with Shadowlands. It's a lot of newer players who don't have the older expansion stuff.
Vial of sands goes for about 30K-35K on my server as well, but Jeweled Onyx Panther must have bee a grave error by someone, since there is no way to get the 4 Orbs of mystery needed for less than 80K. I paid 92K for mine and that was also a real bargain.
Listening to the Onyx Panther list. Makes me cry a little remembering I made all 5 mounts for 6 people. Because family 🤦♀️
You can de-engineer XT to get the one pieces the motorcycle I forget which pieces has been a long time since I made them

You can actually get the items from the chopper by mining the robots in ulduar if you are engineering thus you don't need to spend all that gold.

There is an easier way to get the Vial of Sands recipe. It took me around 12 hours to farm it in Pandaria.
If you mean the map trick, that was fixed looooooong ago.
@@josejuanandrade4439 How has it been fixed? I just used it a week ago to get my last 2 missing archaeology rares. Crawling Claw and Bones of Transformation.
@@knighthawk3749 Last time i tried it wouldnt refresh the Uldum sites. That was during BFA. After that since i got everything from Archeology i just haven't touched the profession. Maybe it broke again during Shadowlands?
@@josejuanandrade4439 Why did you expect it to refresh Uldum sites? It's only supposed to work in Pandaria. If it did otherwise, then that was broken and needed to be fixed. The map trick is to get only mantid sites by using it in conjunction with Sonic Locator and then trade those crates for Tol'vir fragments.
@@knighthawk3749 I see. I did it the other way around. Using the map was refreshing my tolvir site every time. So i just kept on farming tolvir sites uninterruptedly.

BFA mounts was not that hard and expensive, first one was around 3-5 k gold and other was around 60-70k gold.
Hated how expensive mounts are in bfa and just plain griffins for 70k like why
