This looks pretty cool Jeff. Do all the original functions still work such as the factory nav?

Everything factory still works, nav, cd, sd, etc is all perfect.
There are two things that are minor.
Steering wheel controls don’t change songs during CarPlay (because it registers as aux) you need to use the center dial to skip songs.
The factory microphone doesn’t noise cancel well in CarPlay. GTA recommended using the factory Bluetooth function for calls and that has worked great for me.
Over all it’s been 2 weeks and I’m glad I did it

When you get back in the car after turning the car off, does it remember that you were in carplay mode or do you have to press a button to get back to the carplay everytime you start the car ?

when you plug your phone in it automatically goes to carplay. I dont have to press a button every time

Iam still holding out hope that Tesla might one day add CarPlay with a software upgrade 😢
