This video is rather long and has a lot of information in it. If I've missed anything or gotten anything wrong, please leave a comment here to let me know!
Why the fuck are you up so early, fellow Aussie? Great video though! My friend and I are really happy that a Deadlock video that says "GUIDE" is an ACTUAL FUCKING GUIDE, and not just gameplay of a good game which explains nothing
Great video, very indepth, I'll update as necessary. Thw two guardians defending the doors to the base, when they are killed they give that zipline a permanent zipline booost. So there is value in killing them as you can speed through the lane by taking them out.
I'd recognize that voice anywhere 😍 I loved your AoE4 content and was sad when I moved on from the game and your videos. Just picked up deadlock and here you are. This video is exactly what I needed to start learning this game and I'm stoked you're creating content for it
This is a great breakdown! I'd be super interested in seeing matchups and counters for different characters. Maybe starting with Seven since he is the character you already have guides for.
I asked Gemini to summarize this video if anyone wanted a TLDW. The output is below. This video is a comprehensive beginner's guide to Deadlock, a game that blends elements of shooters and MOBAs. The objective is to destroy the enemy team's Patron, a heavily defended structure. Here's a detailed breakdown of the points covered: 1. Introduction and Game Overview: * Deadlock is described as a hybrid of shooter mechanics (like aiming and shooting) and MOBA strategy (objectives, lanes, team roles). * The video aims to be a complete guide, from basic movement to advanced tactics, useful for both new and experienced players. 2. Basic Movement and Combat: * Standard Controls: Movement uses typical WASD keys, Spacebar for jump, and mouse for aiming/shooting. * Sliding: Sliding down slopes increases speed, useful for quick repositioning. * Dashing: Shift key initiates a dash, consuming stamina (shown as bars near ammo count). Combining dashes with slides maximizes distance covered. * Dash Jumping: Precise timing is needed to combine a dash with a jump, allowing for greater mobility and gap closing. This consumes two stamina bars. * Bunny Hopping: Maintaining momentum by crouching (Ctrl key) after landing from a jump, chaining jumps together for increased speed. * Melee Combat: Includes a brief mention of melee attacks, used to finish off weakened enemies or in close-quarters combat. 3. Jungle Camps and Souls: * Jungle Camps: Neutral enemies in the jungle area provide "Souls" when killed. These Souls are a key resource. * Soul Mechanics: Before the 10-minute mark, Souls are split: 50% goes to the player, 50% to a floating essence that can be denied by the enemy. After 10 minutes, 100% of the Soul goes to whoever last hits the essence. * Shared Souls: After 10 minutes, Souls are shared with nearby allies, making solo farming more efficient. * High-Value Camps: Specific camps spawn at the 10-minute mark and then every 5 minutes, offering a large number of Souls. These should be prioritized. 4. Shop and Items: * Shop Access: Shops are located at the base and accessed by a specific sound cue. * Item Variety: The shop contains a wide array of items, which can be overwhelming for new players. * Recommended Hero and Builds: The video suggests using the hero "Dynamo" for beginners and following pre-made builds to simplify itemization. 5. Defending Your Patron: * Strategic Positioning: Utilizing side angles and less-known pathways to defend the Patron effectively. * Escape Routes: Awareness of escape routes, including doors, boxes, and "veils" (for the Veil Walker hero). * Wall Jumps: Using wall jumps to reach higher areas or escape without stamina. This is done by jumping towards a wall and then pressing the opposite directional key and jump simultaneously. The video concludes with a call to action to like and subscribe, emphasizing the depth and complexity of Deadlock even beyond the basics covered.
You say too much detail but then you get a teammate running in circles on the minimap holding the soul urn and not noticing the big green square, there really is no such thing as too much detail sometimes.

Just to add onto the vases/crate/urns. Vases/Crates share drops and urns are ONLY stat drops great video though!
This channel has a lot of potential. Glad to see you diversifying your game coverage, I always loved your commentary and glad to see you expand.

Bring back AOE 3 DE vids please.
fighting games, FPS , MOBA, RTS, it doesn't matter the genre, there will always be people making "beginners guides" that go into way too much detail
You say too much detail but then you get a teammate running in circles on the minimap holding the soul urn and not noticing the big green square, there really is no such thing as too much detail sometimes.
