Thank you for mentioning the weight including knowing what your car can carry. There are far to many people that either don't know or don't care about it.
How much are the roof rails for the Darche RTT? This is an old video as I was wondering if they have a new design clamp catches as it looked difficult to close in this video
You can see the roof rails here, Travel Solo - www.snowys.com.au/ridgeback-hard-shell-roof-rails. As for the latches, we filmed this about a year ago and we still have the same one on display. I'm not aware of any updates to the latches. It did require a little bit of muscle to get it shut, especially if there is a lot of bedding inside, but this would likely get easier over time as the fabrics soften a bit. ~ Ben
There are channels around the sides, Kyle, and you can use these to mount an awning but you may need to customize the brackets. There isn't a specific load rating for the sides, so you'd need to apply some common sense around how much weight you attach. ~ Ben

I think it's an important consideration, this sort of weight can change the handling of some vehicles considerably. ~ Ben
another great vid....thanks!
You're welcome. ~ Ben
Tell Darche to make an all black version...like the Ranger Solo swag!
That would be hot to sleep in I reckon. The outer shell is black though. ~ Ben
Are u sure those latches have been put on the right way up?
I guess they could go either way around, Stefan. ~ Ben
Great tent
Yeah, pretty neat. ~ Ben

Does this RTT allow for there awning to be attached to it using brackets ?

@@SnowysOutdoors yeah ive got there 270 awning currently it does weigh 20kg around there i would think it could handle it
Are they sandfly proof mate
Hard to say, sandflies seem to get in everywhere. I'd say that are just as good as any rooftop tent. ~ Ben
Hi is a soft drink in a ice box stored for 1 month safe to drink?
Ummm... not sure sorry, that's not may area of expertise. ~ Ben
