Somehow Batman TAS came out 32 years ago has better animation quality than modern DC animation. All these current DC animated shows and movies have that low budget feel to it that just stopped impress me like they used to like before.
@@Mrnook.1 You think it "looks great" because you have low standards, the animation is just "fine", not awful but also nothing to be impressed about, it's mostly just flat camera angle and basic action. If you don't know what I'm talking about, just go watch the Batman TAS Batman vs Clayface clip, the animation quality is still better than anything from DC nowadays.
The animation quality of the 1992 show is great but by the time we had The New Batman Adventures, the style had completely changed and wasn't nearly as smooth or detailed but we accepted it and we've been living with that ever since and that was not a big deal. This show has its own style and is doing its own thing and I can respect that. I like it for what it is. We've seen Batman the Brave and the Bold and that didn't have outstanding animation either but it did some very unique things with Batman. Great animation costs a lot of money and takes a lot of time. Part of why so many animated tv shows were cancelled in the 90s was that it cost more money to animate these shows than the networks were willing to pay and so they'd decide to show sports instead, for instance.
it should be remembered that in the 90s cartoon there was a lot of micromanagement surrounding Penguin due to the recent movie and it made those on the show resent the characters. Going this route feels like them doing it out of spite and I can appreciate spite, even if I feel they accidentally struck gold with a nasty but sympathetic villain who doesn’t fit in anywhere
Okay, WB Animation now make an animated show where Wonder Woman is the star so she can have the same impact as Batman and Superman in animation like in live-action Hollywood films

The voice don't suit the penguin. Alfred... oh i ment Pennyworth! Looks way more like the penguin.
In the most superficial way imaginable? Sure.
The hammer of justice is unisex! (Quote from batman the brave and the bold)
It really looks like the 90s show
I just started and said to myself, "I would watch one episode a week" but, I just watched the whole first season.
Somehow Batman TAS came out 32 years ago has better animation quality than modern DC animation. All these current DC animated shows and movies have that low budget feel to it that just stopped impress me like they used to like before.
This animation looks great, dont know what your talking about
@@Mrnook.1 You think it "looks great" because you have low standards, the animation is just "fine", not awful but also nothing to be impressed about, it's mostly just flat camera angle and basic action. If you don't know what I'm talking about, just go watch the Batman TAS Batman vs Clayface clip, the animation quality is still better than anything from DC nowadays.
@@ryantheanimator1156Basic ass nostalgic turd talk. Clearly, you have no life and you're just looking for ways to bitch about things.
Honestly, I feel like Wonder Woman needs more moments
@@redshot5403 Couldn't agree more. Alas, that 1984 film squandered its moment rather spectacularly.
Green Lantern or Flash. Wonder Woman is dull
I would love an animated Wonder Woman tv show. Can't believe we never got one so far (yes, she was in JLA and JLU but she was part of an ensemble in those shows).
@@redshot5403 We all do
This is a great reboot to the DCAU
Voice acting isn’t good, Penguin’s voice is iconic but this is just “Female_Voice-1”
Penguin is not iconic dude he's the most forgettable guy ever
@@JoelMcCary are you serious, So you are saying that you remember characters like Hugo Strange, Clock King, Polka-Dot Man and ALL of those more forgettable villains….MORE THAN THE PENGUIN, ONE OF BATMAN’S MOST WELL KNOWN AND HEAVILY USED VILLAINS
Yes! We need a character actress to voice act her. Maybe a grand dame, Ursula type vibe.
@@JoelMcCarynever comment again
@@JoelMcCary Nah, you are stupid dude
Not gonna lie, Penguin was smart
This isn’t a bad depiction of Penguin at all…and we getting Colin Farrell’s Penguin show from HBO on Max too soon…DC/Batman fans are thriving rn…obviously Penguin fans too
Don’t forget the upcoming creature commandos tv show
If this isn't a bad depiction of Penguin, what is?
It is bad
@@flaycont1800
How?
Taking gender out of the equation here, what makes this a bad penguin?
@@itsgab5745 First of all gender is important because that's a known trait of the character and secondly this penguin is a tall brute instead of being short. Also she speaks normally instead of having either a british accent or talking like a gentleman
I really like how the hits feel like they have impact
I haven’t seen the show and don’t know if it’s any good but why would they make Penguin a woman? It makes the character much less believable and just seems jarring, also she has no accent either…
Believe me, this Penguin is Devito levels of evil. Reminded me a lot of his Penguin, actually.
To the people hatung on Fat Alfred when Alfred was first introduced in the 1940s he was a Fat private detecive and i dont think he was British, and he actually discovered that Bruce Wayne was Batman so Wayne hired him to keep the secret., a female version of Penguin was ok not that big a change for that character, Now the one change they goofed on was making Gordon a black man , in all honesty i dont think the 1940 society would except a high ranking black officer, remember what a hard time the,,blacks had in WW2 think it was Muskagee Airman or something like that. ,, Bullock always been a crook look at M.Keatons Batman
Now for Batmans 1940 fighting style at that time he would not been able to travel to other countries to train in multiple martial arts so like the Batman of Earth 2 he could only train in Boxing , wrestling, Zorro style fencing, and possibly French Savate. He learned stealth from studing the methods used by burglars, and theatherical makeup techniques from University drama school. His Batmobile needs to be alittle less high tech and not sure he would have thought to make a submarine., also if your only going to fight crime in Gotham city dont see the need for a Batplane .
Gender swapping penguin is unnecessary.
Least of the problems with this show
Alternate universe so your argument is invalid
@solblackguy So if they do a new avengers cartoon and make falcon white it's ok?
@@solblackguywould you still use this awful excuse if John Stewart or black lightning were made white? Or Starfire or Supergirl were made men? And ect?
@@ultradeathboyyou're just making shit up just to justify your own points. Also why would they make a character called "Supergirl" into a man.
It reminds me a lot of BTAS and that makes me smile ❤
not for me,tnx anyway.

I thought it was done to make those watching the video think that she said a different, cooler swear word. Of course, that wouldn't work with those who saw the original cartoon.
Oh well.
Forgot the penguin, anyone see how big they made Alfred , damn cut down on the crumpets bud
Not like I'm the og comics he was like that from what I heard
I don't get the hate, its just another iteration of the Penguin.
I saw the old live action with the iconic voice and performance by Burges Meredith.
Circus odd ball from the live movie by Danny devito.

The fallen noble both in The Batman and the Tell Tale Games.

Batman’s gloves are a bit too short honestly.
It's based on the original look for Batman in the earliest comics, back in 1939. I kinda dig it.
@@rottensquid Oh, thanks!
He had purple gloves though
Funny how penguins are known for their great parenting yet she just....murdered her own son, without even giving a single fuck
As long as they don't make Poison Ivy a man...
I would teach myself to draw humans if it means that I get to see a genderbend Poison Ivy lol
This show needs an enema 🥳🥳
I mean.... you have Minnie Driver doing the voice? Why not let her use her natural accent?
I want the Riddler to appear, he doesn't give enough representation in newer tv shows.
I think Matt Reeves create this Penguin female character based on Ma Barker a female mobb boss back in 1930s
Then why not make her completely different the problem is he slapped the Penguin Skin on her instead of trying to do his own thing
@@thebob5240 dunno, not the first time either. He also change Riddler in the Batman movie into Zodiac killer.
