Blue Cat Audio is one of the most underrated plugin companies around right now. They make really innovative stuff. Patchwork might be the best routing plugin I've seen. Plus it allows you to use AU and VST in Pro Tools (and do parallel processing with ANY plugin, and do multiband processing with ANY plugin, etc etc).
In the top right corner of the plugin window, you can unlink the left and right channels with the button directly above the drop down where you select which side you're working on
If you hold shift and turn up/down the knob (at least in the gain suite) you can change the gain by 0.1dB intervals. Btw, this gain suite is the best IMO, you can use the groups, the reverse feature and two instances for gain staging. One before the plugin you wanna make changes with and one after the plugin.
The track called Darude, by Sandstorm, has got to be one of the most versatile tracks ever. You can use this track (Darude, by Sandstorm) on any of your projects, it just sounds awesome, however you use it.
If you go to that blue chain button on the top right of the plugin header (the grey bar that's at the top of every plugin) and hit it, then the channels are unlinked and you can hit the "L" to select which channel you want to independantly affect :)
So funny and very interesting. Love your videos. I like how you talk about all the plugins. If we can hear thing, you give us the good points. And your comments do matter a lot. Keep up the good work!!!
Cool little plug in suite. I use the gain one at the end of the plug-in chain at every track with volume automation. So that if I need to raise or lower the whole track I can do it quickly without affecting the automation or the gain going to any of the plug-ins
Hi! I've got this program but every 30-40 second the tune is cancelled for a 0,5 second then it comes back again. What can i do? Tried several settings but none solved this.
Good post again, i got the bundle verry helpfull. Would like to get your take on the free bundle's from Dead Duck Software and Sonic Anomaly. Fijne dag verder :-)
XD I rember now that those were my first plug-ins ever XD Back when I worked in LMMS XD I quickly stopped using them for sample and Lead synth creation because they just sucked back then. Now they're better but the EQ still sucks for what I'd need it for XD
I don't really know what you'd do with them, but they should actually be fine for Hardstyle. the dual eq seems perfectly usable in the beginning stages of a kick fx chain, especially when you wanna create a raw kick, but i agree, there are far better options. The phaser and flanger on the other hand are really useful when you're trying to get some movement in the tail and the chorus is perfect for giving your supporting supersaws (in the toplead) a bit more dirtyness in order to make them stick out better. anways, i subscribed to your channel. i'm curious to see what you come up with in the future. 👍
If you can't use that EQ, you don't know how to EQ. Here's a little secret: _All Digital EQs are the same._ The only difference is what features are _added_ to the EQ (i.e. saturation, soft clipping, delay etc.) But as far as digital parametric EQ's go - they're all the same.
@@lifewhyz well, almost. A lot of digital eqs will have bands get narrower and less clean in higher frequencies around 12k+ without oversampling. There's a video around called "what's wrong with stock eq" or something. For the most part though, it's an analytical confirmation that all digital eqs are the same, just with different features and UIs.
High White Sea Studio I really enjoy the most of your videos and your knowledge but you're often making mistakes in telling youtube what's possible with certain software. THERE IS A WAY IN PRO TOOLS to treat the Stereofiles different -> Load the Trim Plugin in multi mono (like you did) -> just disable the "Chain Button" on the upper right corner -> and underneath you can choose between the right and left file. You can do that with all avid plugins
Okay, is this a running joke or something? You always say you're using "Sand Storm" by DeRoot, or however you spell it, but it always sounds like a totally different song. What's the deal? Also, wouldn't it be a courtesy to your viewers and the companies whose products you're reviewing to put a link to the product in your description? Love the videos. Just curious.
The whole Sandstorm thing was a running meme on the internet where if someone asked what the song was in a particular video or something there would always, without fail, be someone comment and say I think it’s Sandstorm by Darude. Or just say Darude Sandstorm. You don’t really see it much anymore because people caught onto it. Btw it is an actual song if you didn’t know.
What is the point of doing a review without having read the manual? The commenters are informing you about the product's uses and functions instead of the other way around. That song was also a very poor choice of audio to demonstrate anything on. This was one big waste of time. Are you going for entertainment value only? Fell short on that too I’m afraid.
Why the hell do so many videos about audio production begin with a needless pink/white noise WOOOSH? It's annoying, and also kills the ability of your ears to detect subtly for a few minutes. And it's invariably waaaaaay louder than the content of the video. Remember too: it's a stupid cliche that was old in the 70s on stoner FM radio where it started. Love the channel otherwise.
Wow I never realize this about glass tables, great tip that you can look through them. Even if you put things on top
I think he could have elaborated on that observation a bit more though

Or you could use the Input and Output knobs, found in 90% of plugins.
Blue Cat is a good good bundle. Get it. I've had it for years and I love it. It gives the my mix a nice clear sound for free.
Sandstorm...by, Derude. Yea, I've got that one too. I listen to it on my Somy Walkman.

Blue Cat's free eqs are just a tease for their commercial eqs. They are very responsive and powerful. And they can blow your speakers!
3:01 a brief pause for some FUNKY dancing !!!!!!! Now back to mixing
Change the shape on the phaser to the saw wave for it to be more "extreme"
Those cats are the antithesis of snakeoiless

My favorite angry Dutchman in the studio!
Stock plugs typically sound better.

Mixbus is awesome!
Yeah I was just gonna say that. There's really no point doing a video over whether or not it's snake oil; its not.

NICE🎶
its pronounced flanger, not flanger.
you pronounced it same as him lol
You can't type pronunciations, you know that right?
I think the second time he got it right!
@@spyspacetr4518 the pronunciation of words is indicated by means of the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA). iE Flanging /ˈflændʒɪŋ/
That track is really awful, sorry. Hard to consider anything with that underneath :)
