I love the philosophy of these plugins. I have been using freeclip for years because its a no nonsene clipper with input and output controls and various clipping shapes. And it does all that without wasting cpu or a needlessly complex ui.
absolutely, it is my most used plugin besides my EQ of choice.
Venn audio was not known to me before this video. As happy as I am that this is free: next time I spend money on plugins, it'll surely land in the hands of these dudes! Pure awesomeness!

Awsome! I have a small feature request or suggestion for FreeClip 2. I would like to have the option for bigger waveform visualization in mono instead of the smaller one in stereo so that i can see even better how much of the transients i am cutting off. 😀

I really wish I had that compressor when I started out. It would've made understanding what's going on much easier.

This is awesome, really loving the simplicity of the compressor as well as it’s graph display. Reminds me of FL Studio’s Fruity Limiter but much more streamlined.

The update to the GUI for FreeClip looks like a big improvement. I hated how small the waveform was in the previous version (I have terrible eyesight as it is), but now it should be a pleasure to use. Thanks for releasing these plugins!

These are great for a VST host environment that might not have native plugins. I was going to say the Pan plugin could do with some channel options (e.g. mono one input) but then I found Utility on your website that can do exactly that.

This is a very nice offering! Thank you! I especially like the new FreeClip2 plugin with a much better GUI than the v1. 🤩 But what I'm really missing is a dry/wet mix knob on the FreeComp and on the FreeClip2 plugins. A mix knob would make these two plugins much more versatile.

I've been looking for a transparent GAIN plugin, so I can gain stage each track immediately. I wish Reaper had one included in their DAW, but they still don't. This is great!

I notice that Venn EQ is cramping at high frequency, i'm not saying it is bad or something but it could be done better.

Tried downloading and using V-clip. I dont know what im doing wrong, but so far, it's not free.
As a relative "newcomer" to music production...
Are these plugins any better than the ones that come with the DAW I use? (Live-Suite in my case)
What would be the logical reason to use them if the DAW already has similar equivalents?
Are there any specific benefits to using 3rd parties plugins if the quality of the outcome is identical?

I don’t think you have anything to lose if you download them! Better is really subjective, these plugins cover the basics of music production so you can compare to see what works better for you!
@@bethelfrancis Thanks for your reply... I know there are some popular plugins out there... Many people use Valhalla, Ozone and some others... I just don't want to overwhelm myself at this stage with bells and whistles before I've gotten the basics down... I've bookmarked the Venn Audio plugins so I'll probably get them at some point when I feel I'm ready and there's a need for them...

Use the tools you have, nothing today is "better" - it's all just workflow preference at this point. The one benefit of using 3rd party plugins is that if you switch DAW's at some point (or use another one for certain tasks) you can still use the same plugins in each. But if you're at the beginning don't overwhelm yourself with choice.
