Fly Fishing A London River For Coarse Fish - Weather Was VERY British!

- June 16th 2021, and the weather is indeed glorious........and i can't go fishing!
June 17th 2021, i get the day off and the weather.....well it's jank!
But i didn't give up and eventually the rain let off enough to allow me to go play - here's 45 minutes of fishing time in a 15 minute video.

one of my favorite beats to fly fish. had some spanking chub, dace, perch along that short section, a few little brownies too over the past 30 years.
On the first day I got my fly rod I caught a few 10lb carp and a 14lb carp
Very much a novice myself, however, one tip I’ve heard that may help, when a fly line has been out of use for sometime its best to first stretch the line to take the memory coils out, will definitely improve the casting. Regards from deepest Dorset 👍

No I'm not from a travelling community, it is a word I've always used but i can't remember where i first heard it - probably at school 😉

Which bit? Is water hemlock dangerous, I'll Google it as i don't know what that is 👍
@@dansreelswheels602 it is the most poisonous plant in Britain mate. Not sure if that’s what it was but right location and time of the year to come across it
I used to fish there. Good spot for chub or perch.
