John Blackman you were the best ad lib man on Aussie T.V. you made us laugh every Saturday night for 30 years and will be sadly missed, and we miss Dicky Knee as well R.I.P.....
I always thought back in the day that John Farnham could have hosted this show. He has a great sense of humour
John is so funny. I love him so much. His laugh is so infectious. ❤
When Australia was a fun place
Absolutely
Yes agreed
😭 🎻
It still is, except it's now open to all.
Like another country looking back.
This is pure gold john was,so funny he cracked jokes at this concerts about his mother in law so classic
The jokes about “The Dragon” were always a highlight of John’s concerts 👍😜
I went to every concert and he did the same wise crack about his mother in law 🤣
@@andrewhenwoo6424 … He gave me inspiration to make jokes about my mother-in-law 👍😁
@@gerardroll6468 🤣😂🤣😂
@@andrewhenwoo6424 … We have a friendly “rivalry” but when she’s had a few beverages (🍻🍻🍻), she’s very good at returning fire with the gags 😆😆😆
I grew up watching this show & always made sure I would be at home to watch it every Saturday night. I think it would be highly doubtful they could ever replicate this show on Aussie tv nowadays 😥😥
young Aussies seem to find offense in anything nowadays
@@presidentxijinpingspoxdoct9756 … That’s the sad thing about it, especially considering they find or consider “reality” tv to be classed as entertainment. I consider most, if not ALL of it to be stomach churning crap.
I wasn’t feeling well this morning then I watched this god I miss these days 👌👌
RIP John Blackman. He will be missed.
😂 This is so genuinely funny!
Sadly both John’s are dealing with terrible health issues. Loved this show and looked forward to it on Saturday nights. I also watched as a kid on a Saturday morning. Oh remember the fairy lol. Never would get away with it now
I know angel the giant what cheese's me off media watch tv......
Imagine airing this on TV today!!
I think you would still get away with certain things but there's the one person in society that would blow the whistle that politically incorrect person that would stuff everything up for good
The best days of Australia
You could tell John Blackman was struggling to hold it in toward the end!
Classic Australian television. Love it
i remember this very well cracked me back then still does today
The world needs shows like this.
Those were the days my friend, I thought they’d never end…
But they did 😔
Vale John Blackman.
Onya mate, well done 👏👏
I'm crying!
John Farnham has shown outstandingly that not only is he the perfect singer/songwriter ( and great actor ) but also " missed his calling " as a comedian . I could tell the the two Johns of this video ( Farnham and Blackman ) were holding back funnier punchlines of an adults only nature . I agree with comment by Benjamin Parkinson5255 , though the wording makes it sound like Farnham has just passed away 🪦🎶 .
♑️✍️🇳🇴🇦🇺
Yep, THE DOUBLE ENTENDRE. Prominent in Aussie and British culture.😎👍
Q: What do you call a rooster stuffed with chilli?
A: Same thing, but it sets your mouth on fire!
Wow.. i was only 10 when i first saw this wonderful show.. i am now nearly 60.. thankyou daryl n jackie.. n mr caroll.. et al.. ..
I miss this show and its humour soooooo much,
Same im sick of all the reality shows
You miss the show and it is humour?
@@uriituw there you go,, edited to please the spelling police🖕
When tv was normal in Australia and was fun for a Saturday night
Love John Blackman.
TV perfection!
I miss this show
RIP JOHN BLACMAN WE WLL MISS YOU
I remember seeing this live & thought it was the funniest HHIS segment ever
Gorgeous John.
I would really like to see Italian-Brazilian singer Deborah Blando participate in this TV show in 1992, singing "Innocence" in high quality.
She is very successful in Brazil.
RIP John "Dickie Knee" Blackman.
RIP John Blackman 😢
Great improvised and original tv. That would’ve been the day time version of the show, which I thought was its best. And I didn’t realise Farnham was so quick witted.
Pure comedy. Great bunch
Australian legends right there.
Back in the Jackie McDonald days I had to leave the rom I was laughing so hard . This show was brilliant especially when they had the right guests.
When they did the police sketch & Jackie was constable Getyourgearoff (iirc) pretending to walk the streets.
'How much cash were you given?'
Jackie: "$10.00"
'Why don't you say $10.50 so we can keep the joke going?'
"Oh, ok. $10.50"
'$10.50? who gave you the 50c?'
"They all did."
Wendy and the Rockets!
Miss you, John. RIP mate ❤.
When Australia had a sense of humour and wasn't so woke and PC
Tell me, how does it feel to be a basic? Farnham sung a OH NOES WOKE anthem. If you hate the left for standing up, then are you going to love Twiggy Indue card for protection
Brilliant
0:44 😂😂
RIP John Blackman
Last show of the year - they were pissed as ...
R.I.P. Blackers. There is no doubt that this show would not have worked without John Blackman's incredibly sharp wit, and Daryl was savvy enough to put his considerable ego aside for the good of the show and let John flourish. Jerry Seinfeld once said his success was based on surrounding himself with people better than he was. I think Daryl did the same thing. By the way. How funny was Farnham? Not bad considering he is the greatest vocalist of all time IMO.
What year is this clip from?
Hi Its from 1984, we always put the info in the title and description for you.
🤣🤣🤣
'NO' YA GOOSE.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
RIP john blackman june 2024
Rest in peace Mr Blackman
Ah my goodness wasn’t Australia just the best place back in the 80s?? We’ve really stuffed it up.
I remember this show. I heard they were drunk
Ironic that both Farham and Blackman succumbed to the same cancer . Both had parts of their jaws removed
who's that Wendy girl?
Wendy Stapleton - she was a singer, mostly theatre work.
She had her own band in the 80's. Wendy & the Rocketts.
Wendy Stapleton. Great live singer back in the days of Pub Rock. Saw her perform many times.
Who needs PC and wokeness..
None of that on tv anymore
You got gems like The Project
WTF happened people
