I reckon the show died the night he apologized to HKJ for 'offending' him. Humour heals, being offended harms. They are your emotions and feelings, learn to control them and thereby owning them.
TV is just not the same anymore. You can tell this was a live show and I love how Ozzie is keeping Daryl on track (correcting him at least 3 times when he got confused).
Also Darryl not giving a shit how professional he looks when he keeps going over the rundown of photos and which lot he's judging until he's sure he's got it right. Modern day award shows could take a leaf out of his book.
I can still picture myself, and my brother, laying on the lounge room floor in front of the TV, mum on the couch reading a magazine, and dad in his chair drinking a beer or whisky, as we watched this as a family. Good times.
Always Victoria having a dig at Queensland, you’d think eating Bannanas and Mangos all day would make you stupid! ❤ I miss you Queensland. Put your hand up if you love Jeff Kennett. Victoria - On The Move , yeah, Get’n the hell out of there! 😂
@@michaelkoloc-jx6kv Yeah, let's pretend Queenslanders never have digs at anyone south of the border to them. As much as I dislike Jeff, he was nowhere near as bad and corrupt as Sir Joh. Now GTFOOH, sook. 🤣
OMG I was brought up on this show from when it was on TV on a Saturday morning age 10 watching this with my mum & sister pissing ourselves with laughter & many many more years when it’s was only on TV after 8.30pm all through my married life such great times, to try & play this on TV now days just think of all the people that would not see the funny side of this, the memories will always live on.
You mean Ossie? That was in the 90's. In the 80's, there was also the guys in the band, Red, Wilbur, Animal and some of the crew, like Crystal, they made the switch to Saturday nights all worthwhile.
Seeing him with his beak crushed was hilarious. Even now I'm in stitches just thinking about it. Saw it in an episode on their website heyhey tv, catching up with all the old episodes from the 80's and it went to night time.
We sent one in after a holiday in Port Albert. There was a road sign that read 'rest when sleepy'. At the base of the sign was a dead wombat on its back with all four paws in the air. They never aired it, probably because they thought we were some sick family that placed it there. Another would be the float parking sign at the local racecourse in Yarra Glen, it would often flood.
Used to watch this on a Saturday night,ln think is was on for about 3 hrs, around 1984 ❓bloody funny stuff...😁👍Chook lotto was a good one,now we've got to put up with this Wokey Shit😜
Always been a fan of Daryl and Ozzie, when they did cartoon corner way before this I would rush home from school to watch it religiously. I won a telescope by sending in a drawing on a segment they ran, I was a pig in the proverbial when I heard my name called out. Great days.
Remember when you drink a few, get ready, hang out with friends before hitting the town, OR suburbs, and hang for the laugh... and theresw thats moment, you'd walk away from HHIS , and get trashed, and no matter what, Youll always remember what happened on HHIS.... It's always nice to recall a time when Australia had a sense of humour and the average person had a shot.

Australians have an outstanding sense of humour. Really top quality people.

How I miss this mayhem on Saturday nights! It was worth staying home for!! It’s still funny after all these years!!!
💜 LOVE YOU April 2024 👏👏👏👏👏
All these old segments were gold. Chooklotto was king. And 1990s set design was the best.
Plucka Duck, both the segment and the game, were awesome too.
Offensive, rude, laugh out loud hilarious and sheer delight. Love these clips Dazza and team

Or perhaps; I hope one day the world will come back to this great show.
It'll never come back (in the original format) sadly, too many snowflakes would get offended these days.

Aussie, Dicky and Pluck-A-Duck really did male the show. They were Hey Hey it's Saturday. This was my favourite show as a kid

Bring Back Hey Hey 👋 it's Saturday 😅 even a few times ⏲️ a Year . Awesome Family 👪 Show .
I could never understand why Ossie never blinks. I guess ostriches just don’t blink 🤔
Sometimes he would "blink" on camera, and claim that if you didn't see it, it was because you must have blinked at exactly the same time!
