For those saying "he never mentioned Jesus:" You're right. He didn't and one CAN simply believe in God and have faith that things are going to work out without truly having the Gospel. It sometimes seems evident in their lives when they side-step questions like this, but the truth is that while humans are allowed to righteously correct people in order to help them avoid sin, we do NOT have the right to condemn a person to Hell, nor should we. The Rock may actually have a personal relationship with Jesus and just not be as bold and fearless in his faith as he is in his public presence yet. He talks about faith and he talks about God in vague terms, but never does he mention the name Jesus. His soul development consists of spending an hour with HIMSELF and thinking about donuts. When we use vague references to God made by a celebrity, in order to tout their Christian faith, we do a great injustice to the Gospel. We lie to those who may think that a vague knowledge of God or references to faith that do not include Jesus are enough to equal salvation. This is a shameful post that should be taken down. I am very disappointed that Jesus Daily would think this is any kind of proof of Christianity.

I agree! You are right and biblical. But I'm not sure I'd go so far as to say it's "shameful" since people like these celebrities are deceived and possibly seeking the truth. Yes, it's dangerous for us to celebrate and emulate people who have lukewarm faith. But it's important that we don't attack them, personally. You're right. He didn't and one CAN simply believe in God and have faith that things are going to work out without truly having the Gospel. It sometimes seems evident in their lives when they side-step questions like this, but the truth is that while humans are allowed to righteously correct people in order to help them avoid sin, we do NOT have the right to condemn a person to Hell, nor should we. The Rock may actually have a personal relationship with Jesus and just not be as bold and fearless in his faith as he is in his public presence yet. Christ's job is to save him, purify him, and make him bold for Christ. Our job is to pray that to happen and to share the Gospel message with him, so let's all pray for him now.

There is in the bible a big difference betwenn judging and call the bad things bad. Not the people who say "peace, peace!" are the right prophets of God, but those who are strong to speak Gods words out. This has nothing to do with judging, the judge is God. But we have to warn, and to call sin as sin. Other wise we become ourselfes guilty before God. Many people today say that they belive in God, but often their God is: their car, their partner, their money, their career.... but this brings them not in heaven! Weak up, people!
