    The doctor advised MRI and the findings are as follows.
    pi-RADS-4
    small sized lymph nodes are noted along the internal iliac vessels on both sides,largest measuring 10mm in maximum dimensions on right side with homogenous enhancement on post contrast study.
    multiple, small to moderate sized,homogenously enhancing lymph nodes are noted within in inguinal reason on both sides.
    urinary bladder is partially distended and reveals mild generalized smooth skin thickening of its wall,suggestive of cystitis secondary to bladder outlet obstruction.
    on thin axial T2 weighted images,small to moderate sized I'll defined nodular lesions are noted in central gland of prostate on both side.largest measuring 2.4×1.7cm.

      It is impossible to say at this point. In the follow video, Dr. Scholz says that a PI-RADS 4 typically represents about a 40-50% chance of their being aggressive prostate cancer (that is, Gleason 3+4=7 or higher). Lymph nodes can enlarge from any number of conditions, so there is not much you can take from that unless they show up positive on something like a PSMA PET scan or are biopsied to see if they contain cancer. Hello.
      I have been diagnosed with bacterial chronic prostatis after a few Rounds of Antibiotics Cyproflxin 6weeks (didn't work) then Doxycycline 4weeks (didn't work. 8 Months later as pain would not go the urologist performed a Seman culture which was positive for E coli & Staphylococus.
      It has been 8 years altogether this situation occurring & first few years didn't know what it was & didn't get checked as pain would come very Rarely.
      I've Noticed when the pain comes it goes away only goes after Ejerculating (doesn't make sense) urologist said when I Ejerculate I'm Releasing some of the infection.
      Have only been given Antibiotics twice ONLY for 6 to 9 weeks for a chronic infection of 8yrars & they didn't work. (But pain went away for many months after & then came back)
      & now my urologist wants to perform a Rigid Cystoscopy on me & I'm $hitting myself!!!!
      just wanted to know if a Regular prostate Massage aswel as supplements like saw palmeto along with prostate Massage & Long course of Antibiotics can help?
      I'm very confused about all this & need advice/info.

I went to multiple walk in clinics and thought it was a uti infection and they also thought STD as well cause my problem happened after I had oral did to me . So I was on So different antibiotics until the doctor's finally referred me to a urologist and he check my prostate and I had prostatitis. Man he just told me not worry and it's something I can get rid and he told to trust the process and let the levaquin run it's corse you know. That's the best antibiotics for prostatitis but it also doesn't work as fast as you would like it to. I'm 28 years of age that was my first time experience that kind of pain and burning. I had burning urination and it was bad most time I was scared to pee that how mad it was. Man that's a infection that doesn't go away quietly thats for sure. my advice to you man just dont give up keep drinking plenty of fluids and keep taking antibiotics IT WILL GO AWAY MOST JUST TAKE HELL OF LONG TIME TO GO AWAY

But the issue came as a result of low stomach Acid,which led to him having GERD. Many others also confirmed they were diagnosed with both Issues. You have to be on the watch out. For GERD found out that Apple Cider Vinegar in water few minutes before each meal will take care of the problem. What brought me here was yo search for the treatment of Prostatitis. Am no sure what other symptoms you are having though but I know I do have both GERD and the Prostatitis. So just be on the watch cos the stomach play a key role here.

      Toto,
      I am sorry to hear that. You are welcome to get in touch with one of our patient advocates on our free helpline. Our contact information is here: pcri.org/helpline.
      Frequent urination at night is a common problem with BPH as the prostate grows inward, blocks the urethral passage, and prevents a person from fully emptying their bladder; however, there may be a number of other causes for that symptom and a urologist should be able to identify what is causing it and offer solutions. If it is BPH, there are a litany of lifestyle changes, medications, and procedures to consider, each with different levels of efficacy and risk, so it is important to do some research before committing to a treatment.

    Thank you for this video. I find for prostatitis, many urologists are reluctant to use antibiotics. They prefer to do a biopsy instead which I find once you start you keep having to do. However, is there a way to identify the type of bacteria in play, once it is determined the case is acute prostatitis? What tests are available?

    • @KeepersWay
      @KeepersWay 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No such thing as if you start antibitoics you will keep having to do so. protatitis is due to bacteria even if not present in test, hence the elevated PSA. The same as a UTI can self resolve so can prostatitis. using antibiotics is just speeding up the process. It is not a virus so letting you body resolve it on its own versus using antibiotics won't magically give you more immunity and make you more resilient to re-infection. Was dealing with this for months (2 months.) took ciproflaxin and after 2 weeks so far symptons are negligable. I've had it twice so far. when I let it ran it course took me nearly 6 months to self resolve did not come back for 10 years.

    • @KeepersWay
      @KeepersWay 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      if you are suffering from this disease. I would immediately get 28 days of ciproflaxix and some alpha blocker, The antibiotics will clear up the infection and the relaxation of the prostate will reduce the inflammation, if you are sexually actiev you may hve to pass on the alpha blockers as these temporarily will reduce erections.

      @@KeepersWay It keeps recurring for me sadly. Chronic bacterial prostatitis. There was 2 bacterias in high loads and now after just 1 month of being off of antibiotics there's again 2 different bacterias with high load. Really have no hope anymore, afraid that this will just goin on forever and i cant keep using atbx forever. My symptoms are weird though, no pain basically only blood in semen and ED. PSA was 0.6, MRI came up clear. Is it common for CBP to have no symptoms like pain or regular prostatitis symptoms?

    Is it possible to have a type of prostatitis with no symptoms that is not detectable by a urine analysis? I had a recent PSA test which was 16 (out of the blue). The Dr sent me for a retest as well as a urine test for infection and it was done just 20 days after the first PSA. The second test was negative for urine infection but my PSA jumped to 21. I am scheduled for a biopsy in a few weeks but wonder whether a sudden jump in PSA is better explained by infection rather than PCa. I also had a CT scan which was "normal". No MRI as the wait time is much longer than the wait for a biopsy. I do a fair bit of road bicycling in summer 90 km/wk avg and experience some pain when riding but not otherwise.

      Exactly like my case. I have a PSA of 40 dropping to 35 when antibiotics are taken. No bacteria in urine but a semen culture shows antibiotic resistant (it is resistant to most of the current antibiotics) eColi bacteria. Asymptomatic Chronic bacterial prostatitis is obviously present. MpMRI and PSMA PET scan show a small lesion in the transition zone of the prostate (and nowhere else) . Biopsy has been suggested but I have decided to do only active surveillance (against the advice of most urologists) of MpMRI every 3 months to check if it spreads. Only if it spreads will I go for biopsy.

I was worried about my 3.4 PSA lol but i do have one lesion too poorly defined i believe is chronic prostatitis as i had some symptoms for years but i think im gon do the biopsy i need to know for sure otherwise ill go crazy and never have peace im also 39 so is unlikely yo be cancer but you never know

      Prostatectomy hasn't been studied extensively in men for prostatitis, but it has been studied a very small number of patients who couldn't achieve symptom relief by any otber means. In one study, it resolved symptoms in about 19 or 20 of the 21 men, but had very high rates of incontinence and impotence.

It came back again now that i am 21 but this time i started to feel pain in my prostate area, feels like a needle stuck inside every time after i pee, also having a hard time taking a poo because of this. I don't know if frequent ejaculation was the reason for this.

    42 year old here that had a "bacterial" inflammation which caused sore muscles, skin blisters, bleeding gum, bad stomach, and pain urinating like 2 times per hour for 3 months.
    Got 4 weeks of Cipro and some other AB and that took care of most of the infection but I got stomach pains, discoloring under my nails, heart palpitations, pain between my ribs and brain fog so had to stop after 2 weeks. The infection was cleared but the prostatitis came back with a vengeance, pain from navel to knees, pee blood, etc for all of Christmas. They never figured out what bacteria it was but they suspect it was some kind of amoeba.
    I instead got 6 weeks of 100mg Doxycycline (works great on amoebas, etc) and 500mg Naproxen, no sideffects and it was like magic. After 3 weeks 90% of the symptoms were gone. Was told by my doctor that it will take many months/years to heal out the prostatitis/uretritis and to expect re-occurrence every now and then and to take PSA-tests every three months for the next year and expect it to go yo-yo for a while.
    Doxycycline is my new hero.
