I'm gonna give it to both of you. I feel that you guys are far the best reaction team thus far. I feel that you are truthful in your reactions and even admit that most that you react to is not your genre of music but I can see that you really give it a listen and not just "HEAR" the music and that's fair and it really seems that you can appreciate music that much more. As far as the southern classic rock genre like Credence Clearwater Revival, yes, it's not something that you would tune in for your music, but let me say, I am a black male that lives in the country and there is no black/white when it comes to the soul in that southern rock. I wish that more folks would appreciate that. There is a lot of white folks that sing soulful in which I know you now know also. I like my black music, R&B, rap, and blues, but I can also get soulful music from that southern rock too. You guys are great!!!!! Keep doing what you do.
a curious fact: Slash in his autobiography tells that after the spectacular guitar solo they did not know how to continue the song, where do we go? It was born because they started to play and in the end it was like the end of the song
Kathy here - late to show on this reaction, but just in case you see this comment, fun fact: Slash in the hat, had a really long solo on the full version of this song, but the record label cut some of it out for the radio version, so Axel Roze insisted that the official video included his full solo. And yes, Slash is a beast! GNR was one of the great rock bands of my time. I will be 69 years old in February and I can still remember when it came out, buying the record and rushing home to hear this one because of the solo by Slash. I can still listen to this band and probably til the day I die. Thanks for such a great reaction. And glad "you are a fan"! Peace out!!
I was in my 20s when Guns N’ Roses was everything. This band is so amazing and let me tell you they pave the way between 80s hair band rock to 90s grunge.
This song takes me back to the summer of 1988, when I was 18 and had a 75' Camaro, with a 2,000 dollar stereo system in it and just cruising around with my friends, just basting not just this song, but the whole album...miss those fun times.
Every song on that albums is great. My favorite is Mr. Brownstone. That song is fantastic!!! Second fav is Night Train. Check out those two songs, you won't be disappointed. FYI the motion of the arm swirling around to the guitar I think is most fairly accredited to The Who. They popularized that motion.
One of the greatest songs ever written. Top Ten of all time. Covers everything and let the world know just who Guns 'n' Roses were.... And personally I love in the reactions when the solo starts and someone always says "ok Slash.....show me somethin' ok...." and getting to see their faces afterwards.... Gets me every time.....
Oh boy those were the days. I saw them in 1990 in Daytona Beach. MTV was there for spring break and they always had free concerts at the band shell on the beach. I actually think that Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers and Chad Smith the drummer for GnR were arrested after the show. Y'all have to check out Skid Row " I Remember You ) Official Video and 18 and Life. Sebastian Bachs vocals are out of this world!!
When "Appetite for Destruction" came out in 1987 it changed alot in mainstream music. I was 11 at the time it came out. They were the ones who changed what I was listening to. Before I was listen mostly to pop and then some Rock... GNR changed alot of people to listen to Rock as their main thing. If you listen to them they have elements of alot of different kind of music..... Blues, Country, southern rock, classic rock and heavy rock. Sadly the last 10-15 years has been bad to music in general. Several 14-18 years old tells me I was lucky to be a child and teenagers of the 80ties and 90ties(I also have older brothers so alot of 70ties music too) becauce the music we had... the difference in music. First time I heard some teenagers said that I was just like "Wow... I just thought I was getting old" ha ha ha ha
Loved this band since 1986. I’ve seen them countless times. Axl, I think is the best frontman along w/Freddie Mercury from Queen. Especially when in the late 80’s early 90’s nobody could touch him. Slash?? The Best. Period. Will be playing at my funeral.
I used to listen to this album every day on the school bus on the way home. I won second place in an art contest with a drawing of one of Slashes Tattoos. Everyone I knew loved these guys when this song came out. Thanks for the reaction. Love you guys!
Oh Slash is definitely one of the top guitar players of all time, hands down. From what I understand, he's biracial, and back in these videos you could never see his face because of his iconic rock-n-roll look! Not that it matters if he's biracial or not, but I remember wanting to see that man's face because he was around my age. We're both in our mid-50s now - time goes too fast!
My best friends daughter got married about four years ago. At her wedding reception my self and our other best friend requested this song. The DJ didn’t want to play it because he thought that the majority of the guests wouldn’t even know it since the wedding party was so young. We promised him it would be worth it. So he ended up playing it many songs later. When it came on everyone in the place came up on the dance floor. They all sang along and danced to it. I wish I would’ve recorded the shocked look on the DJ’s face. Lmao! We helped raise that girl to some good classic jams. Lol!
My favorite rock song of the 80s. You guys missed so much. I grew up watching American Bandstand, Soul Train, MTV where they played nothing but Rock and Roll. Then and I mean then.....Michael Jackson hit MTV and we were like..." man look at little Michael!" I grew up watching The Jackson 5 .... you guys missed so much. If you can get your hands on the albums of Casey Casem's weekly top 40 songs for every week for decades. I have 1 album from 1980 and I cherish it.
*You've got to put Slash up there as one of the best guitarists ever* No need, he was up there for like the past 30+ years now^^ Also Slash and Axel Rose were like match made in heaven... the good old days.

To put it very succinctly, “Sweet Child O’ Mine” is a love song. The titular “sweet child” actually refers to the love interest of Axl Rose, the song’s writer and performer. Even more specifically, he wrote the song in reference to his woman Erin Everly, who he even briefly married a few years later. - Still, I think it also could be a song about a baby daughter. A daughter's smile reminding of childhood memories. As fresh as the bright blue sky, sounds of innocence. I cannot imagine a parent who is not taken away to a special place when they gaze on their children. Eyes of the bluest skies and if they start to rain(cry) no parent wants to see an ounce of pain in their child. As a child our parents were usually the warm safe place to let the thunder and the rain pass us by. Where do we go now, the worry of a parent for their child future and wanting to be a part of it. - One thing I love about music is that they can gives us their own meaning. If I did not know this was a love song to Erin Everly, I could easily have thought it was about the bond of a parent and their child. I wonder what other people may interpret to inspire their own meaning from the song. - All I know is when this song comes on the radio, I turn it up and I am singing along.
My mom grew me up on this song. i have a little sister who is 14 yrs younger than me. i live in japan now, they live in Dallas. before I left and sold my guitar I learned this song for my mom. after that my little sister called this my song because she remember hearing me play it so much. shes 15 now.
The entire band is crazy talented, slash is imo the best guitarist ever to play, with Izzy somewhere in the top 20 and he wrote some great lyrics as well, then Duff who could play every instrument and was a beast on base, then there is Steven before all the drugs took him out, and then Axl with his 6 octave range and another great song writer/lyricist.
Good one , slash is playing on several blues cuts I have and he is great , check out Joe Bonamassa and some of his blues tracks , he's also great on guitar .enjoyed your reaction
I was stationed n the 32nd Armor Division in Kirchgoens Germany in 86-87, a few years behind Axle Rose. GnR offered to play a concert for the troops there and the Army denied them, that really sucked..
he wrote the song for the red haired girl with the video camera in the video. Her name is Erin Everly, her dad died 2 days ago. He sang Unchained Melody with his brother.
Axl Rose wrote this for his girlfriend, at the time, Erin Everly. She's the girl in the video with the long curly hair. Beautifully written and composed song.

One of the best songs ever. My favorite Rock band. 🤘 Axl's voice is crazy good.
React to Slash ft. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators - Anastasia [Live in Sydney] 🤘🏼🎩
Best Slash song for sure
Was coming here to post this. It’s a must watch if you want to see Slash demonstrate his godlike abilities.
Beast....agree!! All the friction between them made some of the best music. They made it happen together!!
I remember buying the album when I was 13 years old and putting my dads decks to the test.
a curious fact: Slash in his autobiography tells that after the spectacular guitar solo they did not know how to continue the song, where do we go?
Do you still have the car?
@@Mo-xj8sx No I wish, that was a long time ago.
Saw them in concert just last night in Denver!!
Slash is a beast on every song he's. Yall should check out living by the swordby Slash
Loved this band since 1986. I’ve seen them countless times. Axl, I think is the best frontman along w/Freddie Mercury from Queen. Especially when in the late 80’s early 90’s nobody could touch him.
Slash?? The Best. Period. Will be playing at my funeral.
My 20 year old daughter loves this. Parenting success!!!!
Best music to grow up with so glad I was born in that amazing generation. Still know every word
I used to listen to this album every day on the school bus on the way home. I won second place in an art contest with a drawing of one of Slashes Tattoos. Everyone I knew loved these guys when this song came out.
Thanks for the reaction. Love you guys!
Imagine being 16 and this song drops on MTV, mind blown!!!!!
Slash is absolutely a beast! My #1! Slash's playing & Axl's voice together.... whewwww... nobody else will do! Lol
Can I just point out that Axl uses his voice like another instrument, perfectly blending with Slash's guitar? On my list of near perfect songs!
One of the true classic guitar solo's of all time...
Lol!
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 Paradise city, Rocket Queen, You could be mine (UYI 2)
My favorite rock song of the 80s. You guys missed so much. I grew up watching American Bandstand, Soul Train, MTV where they played nothing but Rock and Roll. Then and I mean then.....Michael Jackson hit MTV and we were like..." man look at little Michael!" I grew up watching The Jackson 5 .... you guys missed so much. If you can get your hands on the albums of Casey Casem's weekly top 40 songs for every week for decades. I have 1 album from 1980 and I cherish it.
*You've got to put Slash up there as one of the best guitarists ever*
No need, he was up there for like the past 30+ years now^^
Also Slash and Axel Rose were like match made in heaven... the good old days.
I love that you both do reactions to such a wide range of music... and of course the reactions are dope, keep it up! Also, absolutely agree, insane guitar skills and one of my favorite parts in this.

Still, I think it also could be a song about a baby daughter.

One thing I love about music is that they can gives us their own meaning. If I did not know this was a love song to Erin Everly, I could easily have thought it was about the bond of a parent and their child. I wonder what other people may interpret to inspire their own meaning from the song.

All I know is when this song comes on the radio, I turn it up and I am singing along.
This is one of my favorite songs. There’s plenty of rock love songs out there. I think you’ll like Jet City Woman by Queensryche.
1987 Live@Ritz. Where it, from my mind started big. One of the best live performances ever..
Yall have a such a good vibe. No over the top reacting, genuine. Good stuff im a fan.
Axl Rose wrote this for his GF at the time Erin Everly. Also GUNS N ROSES are amazing! My favorite band since 1987.
Slash is one of the biggest guitar influences in our generation.out side gnr he has played with the biggest musicians in the business .
That guitar solo is iconic! This slash solo made him a rock god
Nobody was better than G&R In the 80’s and 90”s. They were my favorite as a kid. I only saw them in concert 1 time
I beg to differ VanHalen willforever be the BEST!!!
My All time favorites, lead singer, guitarist everything! 💜💚💙
GNR is the best 80's hair band!
If you want a rock band that sings live songs
Please react to Journey W/Steve "The Voice" Perry "Open Arms" "Faithfully" "Seperate Ways"
You won't be disappointed!
In Slash's autobiography he says that the guitar he used and the way it was tuned that day he has never been able to recreate it and nothing has sounded as good since. True magic in the booth that day this masterpiece was recorded
