    In 2022 I bought one of these from a YT reviewer, I didn't need it I just got it as a backup, well Hurricane Idalia Category 4 Atlantic hurricane came in 2023 through our north Central Florida county, the county was without juice for OVER a week, well my BIG Briggs&Stratton propane converted gen ran for about 10 minutes & shut off, I couldn't find a issue off hand and DIDN'T want to fool with it so I pulled out the ALP, hooked up the tank & it cranked right up & ran flawlessly, mid week of OFF GRID with the ALP I was so impressed I ordered TWO more to just keep in storage as backups or to share if needed, I even took the run time on a propane tank that they provide and figured out HOW MANY of those tanks I would need to run NON STOP ( which I wouldn't do ) for a complete month, NOW we have enough tanks to run a complete month for the 1st ALP I bought, I have recommended these to MANY folks & have posted them on local Facebook pages

    *Great **Generater.Systems** . Pretty quiet compared to other in this size. Runs my AC in our camper, but have to take generator off of economy mode to do so!! Great buy. Would recommend!!! Champion 2500*

      I cannot believe this little generator can run an RV AC unit. I have one of these generators and it struggles just to run my refrigerator only on AC.

    Yep, definitely interested in the electric start version…

    I bought one. And I love it. Especially the run time. Starts, runs smooth and quiet. I have 2000W inverter anyway, so I use the generator to maintain batteries. Its great.

      Yup, same - biggest reason I didn't get their current version, I was wanting a bit more output. The remote start will be a nice bonus. Just hoping they can keep the db low on that bigger version.

      Hey is there any updates on the higher output model? I'm waiting for that one, but this vid is one year old and I can't find the higher output model yet.

    I have an Ecoflow Delta 1260w solar generator that can run my refrigerator for around 8-10 hours on a cloudy day with 200w of solar panels, but once the sun goes down the unit will only run for 5 hours. What if someone were to make a solar generator/propane generator hybrid with a built in transfer switch that would charge the battery (Ecoflow has an amazing charge rate of 0-100% in 1.6 hours). So if you were to setup a transfer switch to start the propane generator at say 25 percent battery left your system could run this refrigerator indefinitely so long as propane is available. I have yet to test the solar panel on a sunny day. There just hasn't been one yet 😕.

      Are you running other stuff with your fridge, if not; you need a new fridge, my solar generator is 1280wh and runs my Samsung 28cu for 13 hours

    I use my ALP to charge my EcoFlow Delta 2 (I have two of them). I tested the ALP during winter, works great. Light and no gas smell. I keep a couple of 20 lb tanks for back up.

    • @Knardsh
      @Knardsh ปีที่แล้ว

      How does it perform in winter? How cold? I’m doing a winter trip and considering this but I’ve heard propane performance goes way down in the cold.

    • @REVNUMANEWBERN
      @REVNUMANEWBERN ปีที่แล้ว

      I can't comment about winter use but we ran ours almost constantly for a week during power outage, and now I have calculated how many tanks I need to run constantly for a month, I DON'T think you would be disappointed@@Knardsh

    I think an affordable diesel would sell in the u.s. market, maybe not as well as gasoline or propane but I think they would sell. I know I have been searching for one for several years now and just like propane diesel stores well and is safer to store than propane. It also has the added benefit of being readily available with no special equipment for pumping or storage. There’s also the benefit of Diesel engine durability and low fuel consumption. I’m surprised no one has developed an inverter diesel generator as that would be the ultimate setup. Great video and nice looking generator thank you for posting.

    • @ewicky

      There are inverter diesel generators in about the 5500W range, and maybe others.

    I love my ALP generator. I have a massive battery bank as my home power backup, but I keep my ALP as a backup to charge my batteries if I don't have enough solar. I have about 6 propane tanks, so have plenty of emergency charging capability.

    We used to use a Honda 650 generator, it was small enough and light enough to carry on a job site, then we could not get them anymore and they purchase the Honda 2000 way to heaven, no one wanted to use them, so they went and purchase the Honda 1000 still to big and tough to carry, so if they could make a 650 model with a place to hold a 1 gallon throw away propane model. Like you said everyone has a 2000 model but who has a sub 1000 model?

    Is it safe to store the generator on the inside of my van after use?(van life)

    • @UPdan
      @UPdan ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would turn off the propane at the tank first and then run out the fuel in the line until the generator stops. You are going to disconnect the line anyway so only trace amount might be left in the generator which won't harm you. Or you could just use the bleeder button and that drains the propane out of the off generator too. I'm ordering one . Green or orange.

      Ecoflow max has a 2016Wh battery. So 2016Wh / 850 watts (running watts of this generator) = 2.37 hours

    If diesel was lighter and cheaper I would have one in two seconds !! Propane means caring a large bulky tank and propane is not that great.

    One other thing propane does not produce as much co 1 that is one reason you find it on forklifts inside buildings. It is safer. In a few years in California lawnmower, and gas generator will be come against the law.

      Gas Generators will still be legal to use but NOT to Sell in CA...
